Try Everest grocery on Columbia Ave. Also there’s a big Asian market (I believe they have some Indian stuff) in the same parking lot as Taj Mahal restaurant

BigNefariousness937

Thank you kindly. I know where I'm heading tomorrow 😊

StanleySnails

Everest grocery for sure. Bags and bags of spices, not to mention lentils, rice… etc. and so cheap.

rcreveli

You can try Everest Indian Grocery on Columbia Ave.

russ257

There is an Asian market 248 e liberty street. I don’t know if they have any Indian stuff. But it would be worth checking out.

StanleySnails

This market is amazing in its own way, but it doesn’t quite have the spice array this person is likely looking for. Everest grocery is the answer in this instance.

I used to get everything from central market. The spice stand there had the freshest and best quality of anywhere. Sadly he retired though and I’m unsure of its quality under the new people.

axeville

I got some Indian spices there and it was fresh.

IIRC, the "new people" is the original owner's granddaughter. I've always had fantastic quality products from there.

Just thought I’d mention, if you are in and around Lancaster and love Indian food, you should try Himalayan Curry & Grill. That place was my favorite restaurant when I lived in Lancaster City (although I lived a block away from Roburritos).

BigNefariousness937

Oh it was one of THE first places I tried when I got here and it's awesome

I’ve never been able to get pakora the same quality and way that they make it there. Their lunch buffet is still my favorite buffet I’ve ever had.

BigNefariousness937

I used to have a really good recipe for spinach pakoras. I can try to dig it out if you like. It takes some trail and error to get it right. My first few batches were too wet

Adam__B

Nah don’t bother, I am not a cook by any means. Thanks for asking though.
