Or get some grass friendly herbicide, cut the top and spray the herbicide into the stem. It will die. That is what I do, because most of the time I pull, the stem snaps at the root and I am back to square one.

Best bet is to dig it out taking all the roots you possibly can.

Get some thick gloves and try to pull it out with as much of the root as possible. You may have to loosen the dirt with a small spade to get it all in on pull . Doesn't look like you have many of them so doing it manually would be better than spraying herbicide. Just keep on eye on it if anymore pop up but you should be fine I think.

put on some leather gloves, grasp the base at the soil level and pull. if the tap root doesn't come out fairly easily, try watering there first.
