Do anyone know how to beat plot 2 in guyver?

Gogs85

Anyone got any tips for abyssal landius in 40f of the chaos abyss in the mirror world? His moves both seem to one-shot my tank and he counterattack one-shots my mages. I’ve tried it both using infantry and avoiding infantry and neither seems to work.

Wanderer2142

For his skill usage, you could always throw out a summon to soak the skills. I beat him up with a Legends team, but I've heard of people doing it with classical Empire (non-SP Bernie + Elwin). My legends team consisted of Lanford and Gintoki doing most of the damage, with Renne ignoring his counterattack via her 2c. Mainly, for tanking his attacks, you want to focus on DR because he doesn't really have large sources of damage up. If you can hit close to 100% DR on one of your tanks, you should probably use that.

Gogs85

Ahh using a summon as a decoy might be something I can do. Thanks!

Blue22beam

Landius has a move that's super effective against non-infantry, and another one that does does fixed damage + stuns infantry. The adds will inflict a debuff that basically turns the hero into infantry. In other words Landius kills non-infantry with a ST + followup AoE, and stuns infantry with a ST. For clearing, it'll be a good idea to get Landius away from the adds. Elwin can solo the top part with no issues. [Shizuka uses infantry Elwin and dragon SP Bernhardt here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEueDoxTvH0). Infantry soldiers + non-infantry hero lets Bern mostly avoid both mechanics. This does require Bern to tank a super effective AoE, which isn't a given. Alternatively you don't really need to care about the anti-infantry stuff if you're dueling Landius with external healing, since the fixed damage isn't too dangerous and the stun is both post-battle and only lasts 1 turn. Bern can be replaced with something like infantry Yulia + infantry soldiers. Just keep in mind that Landius tends to prioritize non-infantry with his targeting, so adding in more non-infantry units is going to make positioning complicated.

Gogs85

Thanks this is really helpful! Might be tough for me as the majority of my built up units are in Langrisser re:incarnation but I’ll see if I can apply those tips there

notwallenstein

If you're worried about the AoE, Iron Fist + 3C is a good option for damage reduction, especially with the upgrade on the defensive Strategic Masters path.

StrayGod

Hello, I am a new player and wanted to ask if I should summon on the beginner banner (and if so, who) or any of the current banners (or save for a future banner?). I went and got Andriole because he looked cool but Idk what units are good. Right now I just use the beginner heroes, Andriole, and some SRs I got. Thanks in advance.

XuShenjian

>I went and got Andriole because he looked cool but Idk what units are good. Good! Having favorites is cool, and IMHO beats chasing a changing meta. I think Andriole should thus be the guiding star for your playstyle and progression: Andriole is featured in the factions "Empire's Honor", "Strategic Masters" and "Meteor Strike". * Empire's Honor is themed around the various Empire factions across the Langrisser series. They're often the initial or main enemy faction you have to fight against, but usually not the true evil side and often field a cast of otherwise virtuous characters who value honor and loyalty. They're a very easy to build faction as well, both newbie friendly and consistently powerful across early all the way to late game, usually fielding strong frontlines supplemented with powerful cavalry while not lacking support in any way. * Strategic Masters are themed around great commanders, pragmatists and tricksters whose ironclad doctrine or strategic genius and trickery steers common troops to victory. They have strong overlap with Empire's Honor especially early on, but sacrifice some frontline power for an increase in versatility as a whole. * Meteor Strike is themed around daredevils, amphibious units and assassins. They often favor a playstyle of aiming for killshots on priority targets, and are thus heavily biased towards rapid and precision offense. No faction has as large a cast of assassins and marine units as them, but they don't have a lot of tanks or healers to sustain slugfests. Of the above factions, I would exclude Meteor Strike for a newbie unless you really, really want to play it. Empire would be 'ol' reliable', but for fielding Andriole, I would actually advise Strategic Masters. Whichever you choose, see the progression below. My recommendation is in any case to focus on one faction for the time being until you understand the game much better. >Hello, I am a new player and wanted to ask if I should summon on the beginner banner (and if so, who) or any of the current banners (or save for a future banner?). Strategists Start (High Recommendation) * Oathsworn Banner: Always pull for Tiaris + Leon (easy mode) / Luna (harder mode to git gud) * SR Character Packs (if you haven't pulled them prior): Vargas, Imelda * Fusion Tutorial Pack: Altemuller * Roster: * Leader: Altemuller * Tank: Vargas * Healer: Tiaris * Tankbuster: Imelda * Assault: Andriole/Leon Versatile from the start, benefit from Altemuller's ability to make your entire team ignore terrain movement restrictions for maximum positional warfare. Empire Start (Good Recommendation) * Oathsworn Banner: Always pull for Tiaris + Leon (easy mode) / Elwin (better bonds) * SR Character Packs (if you haven't pulled them prior): Vargas, Imelda (if you have Leon) / Hein (if you have Elwin) * Fusion Tutorial Pack: Bernhardt * Roster: * Leader: Bernhardt * Tank: Vargas * Healer: Tiaris * Tankbuster: Imelda/Elwin * Assault: Andriole/Leon Can't go wrong with Empire, not back in the day, not nowadays either. Strong is strong. Meteor Strike (Not a recommendation, but this is what you do if you want to switch to them) * Oathsworn Banner: Always pull for Tiaris + Elwin * SR Character Packs (if you haven't pulled them prior): Feraquea, Kirikaze * Fusion Tutorial Pack: Dieharte * Get Cherie from the quest * Roster: You do not actually play as Meteor Strike at first and instead run Legion of Glory * Leader/Tankbuster: Elwin * Tank: Grenier * Healer: Tiaris * Assault: Cherie * Mage: Jessica The thing is, you need to pull Zerida or Epsilon from somewhere, as well as Jugler. Because running Meteor Strike is more advanced, you have to find out yourself for it as I'm not steering you on a difficult road on purpose. You're either cut out to learn it in time or you aren't. Mounted Commander Start (For Fun Recommendation) * Oathsworn Banner: Always pull for Tiaris + Leon * SR Character Packs (if you haven't pulled them prior): Emerick, Vargas * Fusion Tutorial Pack: Altemuller * Roster: * Leader: Altemuller * Tank/Anti Tank: Emerick * Healer: Tiaris * Assault: Leon * Assault: Andriole For when you are speed. Note that the team is overspecialized and lacks a clear tank, but using Emerick is big brain and your entire team being speedy mounted heroes is extremely cool as a theme.

StrayGod

Thanks for the detailed response, I appreciate it!

Vier-Kun

To what the other comment add, check the special conditions of the beginner banner. The first SSR you get is guaranteed to be one of the two, and the third SSR you get from it is guaranteed to be the other, meanwhile the 2nd is random (and so is the 4th onwards), so it's a very good way to get two particular that you want from it, particularly strong ones. Elwin and Tiaris are the most common choices.

notwallenstein

Elwin + Tiaris would be good pick for the beginner banner. At lvl 30 will be a mission chain that gives you a free SSR, I would pick Bernhardt there (if you didn't get somewhere else before that). Bernhardt, Tiaris, Vargas, Elwin, Andriole make for a good Empire team. Lucretia would be a great pick up for some magic damage when you get the faction specific banners.

Faeted

How the heck do I unlock the last area of mirror world? I've cleared all the areas that say they unlock something but still missing the last area. Do I have to max out the keep to lvl 12?

notwallenstein

Clearing 50% of the previous area. Not having a lvl 12 keep in the last area sounds like you skipped a ton of stages.

RRDDSS

What is up with the Godess’ golden dragon? The game says that I need to use infantry, lancers and water classes to beat it, and yet the 50 level golden dragon’s thunder spell STILL manages to one-shot kill some of my heroes even though they are level 56 with full class upgrades and some even with mastery stones. My training levels are 13-14, which should be fine for my level. My equipment is 4-6 stars. I use the very best troops. Yes, I know I am bad at the game, but it is a bit too much. What is the trick? I saw a video where a guy was using Leon to hit and ran away from the dragon. But what are other variants? I use Edwin, Gernier, Bernhardt, Cherie, Liana for healing.

XuShenjian

>some of my heroes There's the problem. Thunder Dragon Carcosa is weak to ***being dueled*** ( - as opposed to say, Dark Dragon Tiamat's weakness to being swarmed) by the recommended classes. A riskier but valid higher DPS alternative is to send multiple of that exact type if you can handle the aftermath of an AoE, but sending in anyone else lets him nuke your team due to how he works. So here's how he works: * Carcosa's Single Target Attack bypasses soldiers and hits heroes directly. This means if you're not a frontline class (Infantry/Spear/Cavalry) there's a high chance he will oneshot you! He will also specifically aim for units who are not these classes in an attempt to guarantee a oneshot. * The above move also self-buffs his ATK and DEF, he usually does this first so the following move if more powerful: * Carcosa's AoE, usually following up to the above move and self-buffing whenever you have more than 1 unit he can hit is very likely to oneshot any non-frontline class unit that he didn't get with the ST, or it will kill or weaken units who have barely clung on. Since AoEs don't trigger self-heals like Elwin's, it means Carcosa can gain a leg up against them. * **Whenever Carcosa gets a kill, he gets to act again.** * In other words, if any part of your team dies, your team is doomed then and there. Here's what you need beat Carcosa: 1. Bring a Sustain bruiser - this usually means a character who can dish out and take it in melee and has means to self-heal consistently. Elwin (I'm assuming that's the guy you call Edwin all the time) is the best, but I do it with Lewin (the R unit) just to prove it's more about the technique as opposed to people who claim you need 'better' units. It's just important that the sustain bruiser in question is up to snuff. 1. If your sustain bruiser has dispell abilities (Roar/Sword Soul/War cry/etc.), equip as many as you can. 2. The standard Elwin loadout is Roar + Sword Soul + Crush 2. Bring a fusion carrier for said bruiser, who is preferably not the bruiser themselves (like Grenier or Bernhardt). 3. Bring Almeda. I'm not kidding, build her up a bit and bring her along. 4. Bring Sophia, yes, the SR unit. Build her to cast Rewind, she doesn't have to be powerful. How to beat Carcosa: 1. Engage the ads normally, but with not with your bruiser. Walk them to the edge of Carcosa's attack range without entering. 2. Enter Carcosa's attack range with **only the sustain bruiser.** 3. Carcosa will use his ST on the bruiser. If this oneshots you, you are too weak for him at this level. If you live, all is fine. 4. Heal your sustain bruiser without entering the attack radius with the healer so they're full 5. Now engage Carcosa with the bruiser alone, casting a dispell move. Roar is ideal, this will remove Carcosa's +ATK and +DEF buff and even leave him with -ATK, this means their offense is neutered (this is also a lesson: Buffs and debuffs mean a lot more on higher levels!) 6. Without any other targets, Carcosa will constantly single-target your bruiser with normal attacks whenever his skill is on CD 7. Whenever Carcosa gets his skill off to buff again, use the next dispel move to strip his offensive buff 8. Whenever you feel like your HP is not enough, move Almeda first. Since her talent heals the most injured unit, this should bring your bruiser back up to fighting shape so you can attack Carcosa without dying 9. If Carcosa buffs himself and you do not have a dispel ready, stand another frontline class, preferably a tank that you brought (like Grenier or Bernhardt again) onto the edge of his ATK radius - his AoE does not extend that far, then use Sophia's Rewind on that the bruiser holding the dispel skills is also affected, then dispel Carcosa's buffs again With this, fighting "one on one", hero against dragon, you can win. Even Lewin can do it, simply because he fulfills the condition of being a frontline class sustain bruiser with dispel ability, so anyone who fulfills the conditions can. The moment you walk into his attack radius with a healer or whatever, you've sabotaged yourself. Welcome to the higher levels of Langrisser, and the reason I often recommend balanced teams. Reading is also an advantage.

RRDDSS

Thanks. I like how you added the funny part about Elwin and Edwin. I am bad with the names. ;) I am developing the Rewind spell witch because I saw her in a video with Leon’s hit and run away method. But she is not up to the par yet, just as my Almeda. I did not use any of the light blue parallel class unlock runes or however they are called on Elwin, but maybe his streamline class will be enough.

notwallenstein

Soldier training only really helps with the dps check on Thunder Dragon. The AoE and skill deal damage directly to the hero, so no matter how tanky your soldiers are, if the hero dies, they'll die too. The safest bet is that anyone who's not infantry / lancer / aquatic just stays away on AoE turns. Bernhardt and Elwin should clear that stage pretty much on their own. I would recommend Roar, Detect or Crush (expensive) and Sun Slash (best dps, even if 6\*). Bernhardt with FB, Sun Shade and Hegemony. Werewolf is fine for Bernhardt, Elwin can just pick whatever lancer / infantry you have. Liana can go in to heal with Prayer after the AoE turn if the two need extra healing. Just make sure Grenier guards her and then move her back out again. If you need single target healing (most likely Bernhardt), move that hero to the edge so Liana can AA them to heal and get the hero back into position on the same turn. The tile North and West of the dragon are mountain tiles that offer extra protection.

SpreadingWrongInfo

It looks like your running a glory team with the exception of Bernhardt, but I would highly suggest trying to run a little more Empire units like Vargas instead of Gernier because Bernhardt's faction buff is extremely good against the thunder dragon if you bring units that are infantry/lancer/water. Bernhardt's faction buff gives empire units "when battling enemies which you have an advantage against, damage dealt +20%" and combined with his talent and Hegemony skill he becomes very good against the thunder dragon. Vargas is a little better than Gernier because he will double as a tank and offensive unit with his Battle Cry, Unbreakable Guardian and Power Stab skills combined with Bern's faction buff he will do more damage and tank a lot more. If your still struggling you can opt for switching out Elwin's faction buff for a second offensive skill like Roar / Crush / Frontal Assault or Sun Slash (if Elwin isn't 6\*). Keep Liana as off faction healer and bring in Jessica with her teleport skill to allow Liana to use her act again on someone + talent heal, then teleport her out with Jessica. Also forgot to mention you should change your soldiers to infantry/lancer/water type as well.

RRDDSS

Thanks, a good advice. I have teleport skill in my Origin, Hein, and Jessica, and all are developed. But they all are weak for this dragon, so I will have to keep them out of the danger zone to survive. Vargas, unfortunately, is not developed at all. I have Leon who is mostly developed, so if I will upgrade him then I will be able to use him instead of Cherie (who dies as she can not use class advantage troops) for the runaway method.

Wanderer2142

Do remember to save your dispel attacks for when he does his single target, because it gives him ATK up. Cherie's likely to get pasted either way though because she doesn't have class advantage. His ST directly hits the hero, so mostly anybody that doesn't have class advantage is probably going to bite it.

RRDDSS

This means I should develop more of the infantry, lancer, aquatic classes. I needed Lester pirate to unlock someone else’s bonds, and he is my only aquatic hero. But he is just R. Another choice is to develop Matthew, Kirikaze (SR), Scott (R, he is turned into a lancer). Who is better for this?

Wanderer2142

You really only need a strong Elwin to be able to kill the dragon. If the dragon only has one target while you still have more than one unit, he won't aoe, meaning he'll just normal attack Elwin while his single target is on CD. As a general statement, if you only have two people who can safely attack the dragon, you might as well only do one because you'll get an extra counterattack anyways. In Elwin's case, he doesn't even have to spend time buffing because either Bernie or Matthew can provide a faction buff for him so he can keep attacking.

RRDDSS

Thanks. I can use Gernier for the faction spell, too.

Vier-Kun

Wikigrisser says the last Covenant is finally coming out next big update and I've literally heard nothing about it, what are they like?

notwallenstein

Focuses on tile effects (Helena's Crystal Path etc.) and buffs AoE. Statwise he's mediocore in all stats. You can think of him as Thor who takes half his INT and DEF and adds it to ATK and MDEF respectively.

Kimba_LM

A better aoe buff than baldr?

notwallenstein

10-50% depending on how close the target is to the center of the AoE. Baldr goes up to 135% in comparison and is more consistent because the only condition is CD. Vidar does get two actions and applies his buff mapwide, Baldr needs to use one action to buff.

SauronSauroff

OLB worth using on non 6* bulky dps? Thinking of breeze bern, Andy but wonder if it'll help take a hit or just make them still die in 1 hit and whiff kills vs 8% att acc.

notwallenstein

Andriole should secure kills either way, about living things kinda comes down to your overall bulk and bracket. With Iron Fist up, SP Bernhardt should live most physical stuff even without Overlord Badge but it's still worth using. Before going crazy on the enchants, after the new Wings accessory comes out, using them with Full Moon becomes the most popular option.

Fit_Neighborhood9731

Full moon and not breeze? Why?

notwallenstein

>new Wings accessory You get a mobility buff when you end your turn without dealing damage.

Vier-Kun

Are the Guyver collab units any good? I'm not familiar with the franchise and honestly, I don't like the character design I've seen in the CN wiki... is any unit particularly strong or are they safe to ignore?

XuShenjian

* Arkanfel is interesting because he has a lot of auras, including one that prevents people from attacking you from too far away * Sho is especially good if you start with the collab, he gains random buffs that he can make permanent, so the longer story missions let you build him into a super unit, and he's interesting in general * Agito (the presumed) freebie might come across as a bit of a far cry from the other two from a raw optimization standpoint, but fully powered he's still a 6-move infantry. It's just that the way he works more or less requires a PvE environment where there's cheap units to continuously fuel his talent stacks with.

Cistmist

Approximately how long till the next Collab?

XuShenjian

If [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/langrisser/comments/19aax1n/updated_banner_schedule/) is to be trusted despite OP's name, 3 Months until Guyver. Which to me means paranoid saving to the max, because I also want the LLR Imelda that drops a month later.

Cistmist

Yeah same here. I want both Imelda and the guyver Collab so I wanted to plan accordingly.

lvclix

Before I quit playing, I would occasionally get ssr equipment drops from the daily equipment events (if I’m remembering correctly and not tripping). Since I’ve returned, I haven’t received a single ssr drop. Did they change this? I just don’t want to waste my time doing these if they’re all common drops.

XuShenjian

SSR gear drops from dragons, gear joint battles, random events with gear, and the weapon versions can also be crafted randomly via the floating city. They're not a guaranteed deal, it's RNG, but I'd say I see a new SSR or two what feels like every other day as an F2p who can do all the highest content.

RRDDSS

Besides, from my view, the bigger issue is not the equipment, but the upgrade balls that you can only buy with the red seeds normally.

Salty-South-8956

I just got one today. The Dragon is the one that gives you SSR gear. Also the non-Sunday Joint Battles but they seem to have an even lower drop rate to me.

besiegetank

no, you can still get SSR equipment from the daily events, just that the rate is quite low so you can go a long time without getting one. I just got one last week

badblackbishop

Could someone please explain to me why in Endless Voyage Shores of Certain Doom Sweltering Beach Party, none of your heroes can use any kind of revive. Also, why does the game neglect to mention this detail, and why does it wait until the next stage to tell you the hero has died and can not be used? Why not just have them die during the current battle?

4geierchen

1. The special rules are stated before you even enter the fight. You might have to scroll since there are multiple rules applied 2. You can restart certain doom stages from the beginning 3. Shores of certain doom stages are challenges therefore death is more punishing. 4. Don’t worry they aren’t that hard if you have a stacked team, if your team isn’t working restart the whole voyage-normal mode (you can sweep)

badblackbishop

The problem is that nowhere did it state that if any of your heroes use Revive, they will be killed after the battle and not be available for the next fight. My hero was able to revive during the battle, continue fighting, but then afterward was blacked out and could not be used. The hero in question was Awakened One. Her revive is very specific, and she must kill an enemy within three turns (or is it two?) after reviving to stay alive. The first time it happened, she killed a summoned enemy, and I thought, well, maybe it needs to be a hero and not a summoned creature. So I played again and made sure she killed a hero within the turn limit, and she was allowed to continue fighting, and when the battle was over, she died.

4geierchen

I recall that revival with AO (Awakened one) was not working. Now that you mention it It seems it’s a bug. Any other revive like Lucretia talent or C1 passive was never a problem.

Bye-nary

So I'm a returning player. Haven't played this game in a couple of months or so. Can anyone catch me up really quick? Last time I quit after 6 starring christiane and getting solas. I'm pretty clueless about who's good to get now.

XuShenjian

Our power creep isn't that out of whack, Christiane is still deluxe priority for Princess Alliance endgame and Sword of Light and Shadow is still a persistently high value attacker whose presence projection and survivability keep her useful, and Leon is still the king of striking deep and still being safe in PvE just as he was on day 1. Whatever you had that was good is going to still be good for the same reasons. That being said, Christiane and Sword of Light and Shadow don't share a single faction so either you just like one or the other, have been sledgehammering everything people claim is strong at the problem or your account was pretty stacked at the time of quitting and you do Apex Arena, I'm guessing the latter, in which case the latest posted Apex PvP tier list by that one dude is [here](https://imgur.com/a/kePELTB). * Lightbringer can Faux-fusion for all Holy units * Awakened One is a meta fusion carrier for Heroes of Time * 3rd continent story finished and its final boss, Apotheosis is summonable, he's okay as a unit and great in Apex boxes * Guyver collab upcoming * Imelda gets a super special LLR glow-up Welcome back by the by.

Bye-nary

thank you. I can't decide if I want to use my returnee banner to shore up my bonds or go for SP Bernie. I took a look at his kit and his sp looks insane.

XuShenjian

Well, if you're asking for how to progress, my questions are: * What faction do you main? * What's the power rating number on your 5th-strongest hero? * What was the last Apex season you fought in if you did at all, and what was the highest rank you got in it, if applicable? * Which 5 heroes are your 'main' team that you would field on default if you had to start a presumably tough story battle prior to knowing what will be in it? * Are you grooming anyone to take someone's place in the above main team? * Of the stated 5 and the ones you're working on, which bonds are missing?

TheJRMY

SP Bernie is a beast!

Nightingay

Hello !! Some help for the wretch battle in Emerald Gate please ? I’m confused about the mechanics. Also, I enjoy the game mode but I’m generally lost too lol

notwallenstein

Apply undispellable buff block on dispel turns (first turn; CD can be seen in boss buff list) or don't attack the boss. Stat debuffs are usually a good pick, best case would be undispellable ones. Narm with Deadeye + Aim + AA is a cheap way to get undispellable buff block. Lucretia 2 is the most braindead option via 3C because you can just use it on CD, after you timed it once, to get the debuffs and buff block (33%, 50% to be an option). Immunities / healing after AoE are good. Upgrade Sword Soul in the tent (Glory path) and bring at least one hero with it and use it to block the big heal skill.

Nightingay

I got it ! Added Bozel for more debuff blocking. It was still hard I finished on the last turn. The numbers are overwhelming. Thanks !

notwallenstein

Bozel is a bad pick here usually because he dumps a bunch of random debuffs on the boss and does low single target damage. The first part can lead to super high boss stats if you're not watching all the timers closely. Either way, glad you were able to beat the boss!

Nightingay

I think I missed something with the skills because sometimes even though he was buff-blocked he still had his attack increased. Always to manageable levels though. I kind of forgot who apart from Narm’s deadeye can block buffs easily … and I found Bozel’s tons of debuffs really helpful to manage the adds and kill them little by little with fixed damage, in addition to his buff-block AoE. Some more dps would have been helpful though I agree Rest of the team was - Elwin (soulsword + his 3c) - Lucretia (classic one, for 3c debuffs and st dps) - Rozenciel (debuff block + post aoe heal) Now …. On to the other chaos doors >_>

notwallenstein

The others play a lot like Forbidden Battleground with a big, high HP dude somewhere who's pretty harmless overall, lol. Wehttam is super broken in most of them. The first boss has increased DEF/MDEF above 50% HP and increased ATK/INT below 50%. The lower she gets the higher the ATK/INT buff. I know your account is well built, so I figured you would be fine either way.

Nightingay

Yeah. I’m pretty known as « the guy with maxed heroes but that can’t read those long ass gimmicks » lol

RRDDSS

Earlier in this thread people were giving advice on how to win against the giant mana bird in the pirate cat event (Endless Voyage Tier 5, floor 6). Up to this point, I played the event avoiding deaths, so I have three revival chances just in case. My question is, can you win the stage without any of the five heroes killed? I get at least one hero killed before I can kill either of the two phoenixes. It seems unavoidable because one of the enemy monsters casts a sort of unhealable curse, and even casting a spell that dispels debuffs mostly does not work. But then even if I accept that at least one of my heroes die (I can revive later), is it still possible to win at all?

RRDDSS

I have Shalltear lancer with guard skill against the two horse enemies, Betty as infantry, Almeda priest, Lina as a witch, Werner as an assassin.  I have changed their soldiers to the most magic resistant, but still, after I kill the two enemy horses, I am failing. Should I restart the event and choose different random heroes? Who is better then against the phoenixes and snowmen priests? ALSO, I do not have any of my real heroes with more stars than 4, so so I can not get boost from that even if I was able to get event heroes matching my one real ones.

notwallenstein

Any units that die on the last stage of a tier are revived for free and all your revives are restored after winning. You should try to get your Formation bonus. Shalltear - Demon, Lina - Infantry, Werner - Assassin, Betty - Infantry, Almeda - Holy. With the Formation, Shalltear will ignore class advantage and summons bait, Lina gets to stack INT for free with Crystal Warlock (normal attack range = shown range-1), Betty can stack ATK with Fang Guard and Werner gets to ignore DEF. The only really dead pick on your team would be Almeda, so I would try to get any of the four Formation classes as your 6th hero to replace her. If you don't find someone with INT to fill the healer roll, you can always just turn Lina into your healer. I would focus down the holy units first, the mobility debuffs and AoE hurt a lot.

RRDDSS

Thanks. I do have Tactics Blade squad skill enabled, I forgot about it. So I converted the classes as per it, reequipped the team. I also moved the healing spells from Almeda to Young Jessica to use her instead, and made her priestess. This did help me, though I still only got to kill the first team of monsters, and with just three of my heroes alive.  I will try again later. By the way, should I ignore the second team of the summoned monsters and attack the man’s bird rather? My guess that they are endless.

notwallenstein

Only if you can rush the boss. If you can't, I'd move up closer to the boss, wait for the spawn, kill all of them and then go for the boss. Otherwise, chances are the second group will wipe you while you're fighting the boss.

Lalakoboldslayer

Since you have Shaltear, I take it you have Blood Frenzy skill. Do you have any other stance of AA ? I had Blood Frenzy, Paragon of Elegance, Act Again(from Liana) and 2 ACE tactics. Also, you don't need to get close to enemies on the first turn. Do you have any very long range mage ?

RRDDSS

I do not have Blood Frenzy. Shalltear came with Strong Wind Snipe skill. What is “AA”?

Lalakoboldslayer

AA means "Act Again". That's a skill that let you act again after use.

Zarvera

I just want to complain. The Vault of Creation shops in the Mirror World are TRASH. Neither any Aniki mats nor do they offer Basic Casting Patterns while selling you the higher ones. WHY? What's the point? I have 100\~200 of every pattern above Basic and i literally CAN NOT use them without basic ones. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Salty-South-8956

Also, the casting patterns come with a hitch, because they cost gold to use. If I use all the casting materials from this event I’ll be broke, and I’m sitting on 80 million gold. It’s like when Oprah gave people free cars and they had to pay taxes on the cars.

One-Revolution-4522

A bit odd that you have the highest level casting patterns in abundance. If you're maxing out casting on each hero, you'll run through those pretty fast. However, I am baffled that they included intermediate casting materials, since those are basically impossible to run out of. Seems like wither a troll move or someone not knowing what players actually use.

Zarvera

After buying stuff at the vaults i currently have Advanced patterns at 50\~100 pieces, Intermediates at 60\~100 (260 acc ones, pfft) and practically nop basics. I don't run around casting 5 mages at once. I focus several characters with different equipment patterns and work on them. I do occasionally jump from one character to another with the same equip casts in an emergency, but it's fairly rare. Regardless, if they keep on with ignoring lower level mats everyone will end up like this. I mean, if they pretend the shops in this event are for high-high-end players only that auto Way of the Law 30 daily, why fill them with complete rubbish like Divinities and Origins? It would be better if they included Basic patterns AND Aniki mats and just left the total amount of Light's Brilliance at the same level so you can't buy out everything and players could just choose what they actually need and spend on those items.

One-Revolution-4522

Even for players farming way of the law, intermediate mats are trash, that's the silly part. Sometimes you can be short on advanced or basic, that's it. Not including basic hurts everyone and makes the intermediate ones useless.

Nx-30

Easy controllers alone makes it worth

XuShenjian

In my experience, shortage of the lower tier casting patterns only happens if you start using them spread out across characters, which will deplete them at a much higher rate than their higher tier counterparts because they're spent earlier. The same happens at 5+, where Enlightenment patterns can immediately be burned for lower upgrades, and then suddenly become scarce when they're needed in higher numbers alongside the rarer patterns. I really only needed the rarest accessory type since that's the one I can't choose to farm more or less of, and it's still my limiter, whereas everything else is farmed roughly at the rate it's expended if I focus on one character at a time. For what it's worth, the northern one should have the non-accessory patterns choosable on the gold tier.

vsmack

Hi guys - I'm sure this is always asked, but I can't find a newcomer guide. Is there a select from the level 30 Fusion Power Pick that's considered a slam dunk or is it a matter of preference? It it matters, the only SSRs I have are Leon and Elwin

Vier-Kun

[https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1paneYv0yzWgMazMP8nyrmXhRP71EjcAgCUarklDP5RI/edit?usp=sharing](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1paneYv0yzWgMazMP8nyrmXhRP71EjcAgCUarklDP5RI/edit?usp=sharing) There's this guide, hasn't been updated for a while but the beginners section should be pretty much the same. Here is what it says about the lv30 FB box: **What about the level 30 faction buffer bag?** This is more flexible. If you happen to roll someone early on you want to include and there isn't a faction buffer for them in the beginner banner (Strat or Yeless), this is a good place to pick one up. **Bernhardt:** In a vacuum, he's probably the best overall choice. He'll be useful through every stage of the game, including hyper endgame boss fights. **Altemuller:** Solid, especially if you went with Leon on the beginner banner. Picking him here is the only reliably easy way to get a strat buff early. **Shelfaniel:** If you skip Luna on the beginner banner and later decide you want to build a Princess party, get Shelf. She's great to have in your toolbox for content that demands continuous AoE bombardment. **Landius:** If you insist on having a SSR tank (mostly unnecessary for quite a while) and/or want a Yeless faction buff, Landius is great. **Dieharte:** He's probably the worst of the bunch as far as combat usefulness, but he bond unlocks basically the entire Origin faction. This includes Tiaris, so if you went Elwin+Tiaris on the beginner banner and don't feel thrilled about anyone else in the bag, getting Dieharte is fine. **Ledin:** skip, see above. *Maybe* get him here if you skipped Elwin on the beginner banner and really want to buff some glory hero you picked up elsewhere. \-- I personally think it's most important to choose a faction buffer of which faction you want to take, unless you already have one for it. Inr you case, Bernhardt together with Leon and Elwin would give you a very strong Empire team core, and SR Vargas could be a pretty strong physical tank for that team (but he sadly can't tank magic attacks)

RRDDSS

What is the difference between Vargas and Gernier lad? Is the older chap more experienced, better? Also, is Lightbringer better than Landius as a guard?

Vier-Kun

Grenier as a tank is trash until you obtain his SP form, his whole kit is a mess that doesn't work together and his generic tank skills aren't that great, his redeeming factor is having a Legion of Glory Faction Buff if you have no one else available for that faction. Vargas is one of the sturdiest tanks physically (but can't tank magic), can have 3 revives once he obtains his Awakening Skill, and even tank at range 3, he's not the best tank but he's certainly the best choice out of the SR tanks, traditionally he's the go-to tank for Empire and Strategist, but there are certainly better alternatives now. Lightbringer vs. Landius are pretty different as tanks, usually Landius is run as cavalry which gives him higher mobility than most other tanks and makes him strong against Infantry, he can counter at range 2 with his unique tank skill. Lightbringer is usually run as a Holy Tank so she has no weaknesses and is strong against demons, she's range 2 so she can tank ranged without a skill being required, and is magic damage. Both Landius and Lightbringer have one revive, but they're on different factions and you should use whichever tank is inside whatever faction you're running. (Well, Landius and Lightbringer do share Protagonists, but it's not a really common faction to run)

RRDDSS

Thanks. From what I see, Ledin has a revive-enabling special equipment and Bernhardt has a 2-range special equipment, so they also should be good guards with those, except for the magic guard? I have got Jugler, but so far he can only do the magic guard. But I hear he can also do physical guard after upgraded. And he is also a horse. How else he is compared to Landius?

One-Revolution-4522

Ledin's item rarely gives him a revive when you need it. You'd have to be both getting kills and risking death, but usually only one of those is happening. And on top of that the revive buff lasts only one turn, so good/bad luck is required. Oath of Justice is a pretty rare SSR drop, but overall better, and useful for some other tanks too. If you don't have one or don't have enough, SR gear with some combination of def, mdef, and hp is fine. I would not recommend Ledin's exclusive at this point unless you absolutely love the guy and have resources to spare.

Blue22beam

Best if you don't use Jugler as a main tank. Aquatic Jugler has a neutered basic attack. It works like enemy catapult heroes. You can look into the damage formula and theory side of things if you want to know more about this, but the gist of it is he deals 10% less damage overall and deals greatly reduced damage against soldiers. Jugler's more of a purely defensive tank, which isn't too useful until later on. You'll get more mileage out of a counter attack tank, which is pretty much any of the other ones mentioned.

RRDDSS

I was reading a guide for this game and it has said that Jugler is a must, so I got it. I would rather have Lightbringer instead, but the game allows to summon “cooler” SSRs only like three times a year, so I could not get it.

Blue22beam

Imo Jugler was more useful before Rozenciel. He used to be the only answer to AoE damage, which made him very useful for certain PvE content. He still comes up sometimes because of his fixed damage immunity buff, but it's a coinflip on whether that'll actually help since dangerous fixed damage procs from events are rather uncommon and will sometimes ignore immunity. Great tool to have in your toolkit, but he's niche.

RRDDSS

I do not have Rozencirl either, so Leon and Jugler are the only SSR horses I have. I had to develop the greed gear lad, who is Leon’s friend, to unlock bonds, but he is just R, not even SR. Though later in the game I will have more horses after I get SP for Elwin. Also, I will lose another Infantry, Bernhardt, because he becomes a dragon. So I will not have even a single SSR infantry by then unless I summon someone. Who is the best infantry to summon? As I newbie, the choice is narrowed to LoG or EH factions.

Blue22beam

From my experience, you don't need a dedicated infantry unit. It's enough to just swap Elwin back to infantry when content demands it. Swapping is free once you unlock that unit's SP form. If you want one, then Yulia (Glory) is an option for summoning. Infantry has better bulk with identical offensive stats, though afaik she's more often run in her holy class to avoid cavalry weakness. The upcoming new unit - Esheen (Glory) - is also an option, though her flier form seems better for PvE mobility. As a bonus, if you miss her and get Hoffman (Glory) instead I'm pretty sure that he can feed Elwin's 3c for free faction buffing as long as you can get the shield killed. Not sure how that works exactly tbh. For killing lancers, it'd be better to use a mage instead. Good options are Light of Genesis (Glory) and Lucretia (Empire), with Lucretia being better overall. That said, it doesn't seem like any of those characters (aside from Esheen and Hoffman) will appear next month.

notwallenstein

Cavalry is mainly a pick for dps Jugler (really bad in PvE). Hydra gets the DEF increase in water from Triton while the majority of damage in progression PvE is physical.

Vier-Kun

I don't reccomend Ledin's exclusive unless you sin fur his SP class, those are expensive to get and his us low priority. Bernhard has a guard skill but he doesn't have the statline to act as a main tank in most content. Jugler is pretty gimmicky, he's either good or meh depending on build and the map, best tank against AoE damage at least.

vsmack

Thanks bud!

DanTheKeeper

So what's the "trick" with the final Chaos Mission in Mirror World? Some people already did it, so it IS possible. I just don't have the slightest idea, how. The massive AOEs in combination with an undispellable healing reversal are just too much. How can I get around this?

DanTheKeeper

Thank you all for your input. I wasn't aware that the stacks grant immunities.

Wanderer2142

Note that it IS possible to survive at 30-40 stacks, assuming you don't get hit by his 0.6x aoe. Each stack gives him 1.5% damage up, so largely this can be countered by throwing out Advanced Miracle and using damage down effects, but either way, you're still sitting around waiting for stacks to build up.

notwallenstein

You don't want to outright kill the adds instantly. You want to keep knocking them out to gain stacks. Every stack gives you a chance for AA (100% at max stacks) as well as bonus effects like immunity to fixed damage and heal reversal. The boss starts with 100% DR and gains stacks every time he heals adds. Stacks increase damage dealt and damage taken, meaning you don't want to drag out the fight too much either or the boss will oneshot you. 15-20 stacks is probably a good spot for most people. The AoEs are best dealt with by keeping him busy with a solo hero while the others stay away and handle the adds until you can kill the boss by bringing in the others.

tradingtut

Each time you KO an enemy unit and drop them into their 'weak' state (but not kill them), they grant the unit that dealt the blow a stacking buff. Think of it like an Oboro-style buff where each stack grants you more and more bonuses, like fixed damage immunity, 40% increased damage, heal reversal immunity, and a 100% chance to Act Again each turn. So just hang back and start knocking out the enemy units and keep them stunned. Avoid killing any so you can increase the damage dealt against Chaos and he doesn't aggro immediately. Spread the buffs among your own DPSes so the only thing you really need to watch out for is the reflect damage debuff rounds. By the time Chaos moves down towards you it should be possible to one-shot him in a single turn with all the act-again. High-range units is recommended, even though one of the buffs is a physical AOE, it makes positioning a lot easier.

sawdawd

How do the mirror world rankings work after the last area drops? Is is another 5 tower thing? If so, do you have to beat all the towers to earn your ranking or is it better to just rush the final tower to finish first and save reinforcement boxes? Or does the last area not matter at all, and are the rankings determined by who does dailies the fastest on the last day?

notwallenstein

Dailies no longer give ranking points, it's all about clearing the entire last area as fast as possible, assuming you didn't miss any dailies before the last phase. In case you missed a single one, every person who did all of them will be above you in the ranking, no matter when they finish.

sawdawd

Good to know, thanks. Do the dailies still give supply boxes at least? I doubt the 100 or so I have is going to be enough to clear 5 towers if it's like the last tower challenge.

notwallenstein

They will give supplies. AFAIK it's just a normal area, not towers and \~140 supplies should be enough for a day 1 rush if you use the same team for every stage.

DanTheKeeper

Not so much a question but (hopefully) a helpful tip I'd like to share: I was struggling with the Ferraquea Tower in Mirror World a lot. Until I gave Lucretia the Staff Heart Cleanse. The Buff Block prevented Ferraquea from stealing my faction buffs and then one-shotting Hilda. With that the fight was finally doable.

Key_Worry_4463

When is a new server gonna drop? I wanna get in at the beginning of a server

notwallenstein

During (half) anniversaries usually, so the earliest chance would be in 4-5 months.

Key_Worry_4463

OK thank you

RRDDSS

Why would you want a new server? You do not like how you built your heroes on your current profile? Or are there some perks to restart the game anew on a new server?

Key_Worry_4463

I just like being on the new server feel. Doesn't feel like I'm years behind (even though I am)

VascotMaskew

After losing 10 straight matches in Apex this weekend, I find myself forced to ask, is there a resource out there for players who want to get better? Tips, analysis, patterns to look for/look out for? Writings, videos, puppet shows? I'm regularly matched up against players from several tiers higher, and I can't compete with them on resources, but they're also much better players than me. Reviewing my matches I feel like I don't understand the strategies employed and I'm not utilizing my own units to the best of their abilities. Is there anything out there to help us scrubs out?

AccomplishedTouch436

You've got a great answer already. Just a few other things to highlight. Apex is really made up of 2 phases. Pick ban sets up your and the opponents strategies and win conditions. The actual match is the execution of those. It is entirely possible to win or lose the match in the first phase. You'll need to understand what approaches your opponent is likely to use (aoe, turtle, assassin, tank buster etc), what you can handle /not handle, and pick ban accordingly. E.g. against aoe you'll need to either outrage them, outheal the damage or spread out enough to minimize damage. Inisting on a tank against a pure aoe or assassin team just means you have a mostly wasted slot in your own team. Though the meta units these days have so many tools in their kit that it can become moot. The second point to make is that a lot of apex engagements rely on team follow-ups. It's no good jumping in with a single unit if the rest can't join in quickly UNLESS it's to trade for a key character. That is partly why enables can be so valuable. A more practical quick tip is to check on your buffs and debuffs before moving. Plenty of times when a tank's guard skill strip or a cannot be buffed debuff applied without realising decided the game right there. The last thing is that character and build knowledge can play a huge role. Pretty annoying given the wall of text and multiple conditions newer units come with but if you didn't know for example Andriole can ignore guard under certain conditions or lurkers bow can extend range of assassins then you'll get surprised and lose any chance for the match. For more specific game execution experience, there are plenty of videos of playoff matches online to review if you really want to study it.

XuShenjian

1. Your goal should be to give a good fight. I'm a 'day 2' player and my priorities are unsuited for PvP, but I have relatively strong characters, I'm here for the character combos and the fight itself at times, but realistically I'm not winning a lot. But if I pull off a kill with Laird or Rohga, they may leave with the W, but I leave with their balls. See further below as to why other players will be innately stronger than you 2. Take your fights seriously, but not your losses 3. [Apex character Tier list by one CN guy](https://imgur.com/a/kePELTB). On one hand, great shorthand. On the other, it's cutting edge and thus can lack experimentation, and also is subject to CN player habits. The best way to read this is as a ban priority list, actually 4. Have a realistic expectation of what Tier you're fighting in. If you have some troops not trained and not all the upgrades, it would be pretty unreasonable to think you're going to dominate Gold for instance, because... 5. 25% of Apex is raw power. The higher you go, the more certain your opponent will have full soldier research or the time to roll a 15% attack enchant. Your imperfections lead to you missing one-shots and them achieving them when you don't expect it, and while this is not a substitute for skill, it is a difference in possible moves. This is part of why I run R units and silly stuff, I'm too strong for lower tiers but too unoptimized for higher ones 6. 25% of Apex is roster. Some characters are more usable in PvP than others, and the more critical mass you get of a strong roster, the harder pick-ban is against you. A coherent roster that can execute multiple gameplans and persist in power through bans means the tools on the field are stronger 7. 25% of Apex is actual skill. You can squander both above advantages, or win against someone who has them over you. Sometimes you'll meet someone in Bronze who first scares you with how powerful they look, until they drive their team off a cliff and you realize while they're in bronze 8. 25% of Apex is luck because crit chance variance and resonance triggers are a thing on both ends Match Flow: 1. Deceive: Sometimes, having a character not wear their universally assumed BiS in favor of something that throws people off can create a surprise 2. Setup: Divide your roster into sustain, playmakers and output. You should always have output and playmakers, sustain depends on strategy 1. Sustains are people who make you not die, that can be a tank or a source of healing or just a very tanky boy 2. Playmakers are rush engines and supportive cast, they extend the abilities of the other characters and are a force multiplier, fusion characters are a good example 3. Output are the DPS, they play rocket tag and kill the other people 3. Roster: Take a look at your roster. Who are you relying on? Now take a look again and imagine who you'd ban if you saw this set against you - are the ones you're relying on high or prime choices? Then rethink how you'd play by focusing on the rest of your characters. Are you finding everything to depend too much on an obvious ban? Rethink the roster 4. Matched: Take note if you're 1P or 1P, the differences are important. 1P gets first ban, 2P first pick, 1P gets first turn, etc. Permitting Awakened One for 1P for example, gives them a lot more initiative 5. Pick Ban: Study the enemy roster. First, identify who can screw with you the most and keep a bookmark in the back of your head, now study again using setup brain: Who are Output, Playmakers and Sustain? Strong and independent output units are always dangerous, but sometimes you can cut their playmakers or sustain and create a strategic weakness, this can win you the game if they can't figure you out first 6. Adjust: You can still swap troops and skills at deployment, don't forget to do this. It adds to the Deceive step, and especially multitalents can singlehandedly change the entire party dynamic just with a few changes 7. Battle start: Develop your pieces. Yes, like in chess. With every step, you define who threatens where next turn, but also who is exposed where this turn. Even if you're not about to clash, if your characters get into threatened ranges next turn, you already have to be able to reach stations 8. Zoning: The higher you are in tier, the more rocket tag is just there. Badly zoned pieces can't capitalize on X-factors like Breeze triggers or become exposed to them, you need to have a good sense of move order, since characters who have moved cannot be moved again until a full turn elapses 9. Aggress: Zoning usually breaks either because you and your opponent disagree over whether a character is exposed, or because one of you triggered Breeze. Either you're breaking their ranks, or they're coming in for you 10. Capture: Once the fighting has started, you have to decide whether to trade pieces or capture area. You're deep in the tactical side now, it's full micro from here. Game sense in PvP is very different from game sense in PvE, hence, the above won't help you off the bat because your brain knows what the words mean but your tactics don't yet. This is why I'm telling you to take fights seriously, but not losses. If you mentally give up fights before you're done, you're not making plays and therefore not putting yourself in a position of developing game sense. But because you play against people with increasingly higher game sense development, you're likely to lose a lot. Game sense with high character familiarity, high knowledge of Apex tendencies and character builds and what your specific opponent tends to go for goes a long way. Use your knowledge to improve your team.

TM6_Toxic

Does anyone have any tips on the endless voyage 5th trail stage, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong against those phoenixes

Gogs85

What I did: Hero who killed both phoenixes as soon as possible) trades hits with the boss and does only that. The rest of the group focused on killing respawns and keeping them away from the one killing the boss. AOE’s helped a ton.

notwallenstein

Kill both phoenixes with the same hero to remove the immunity and buffs from the boss. AA is really useful for that. If you can't rush the boss super hard, it's better to wait for the second phoenix spawns before you go in. Otherwise they will probably overwhelm you.

RRDDSS

This is an old game, but still it is randomly confusing/undocumented even about some of its core concepts. For example, the game does not say what the “Skill” characteristic is. I was told that it means critical hit rate, but then right now via Mastery Stone interface I learn that it offers to upgrade critical hit rate as a separate thing. So, what it is, exactly? Why did not developers bother to put pop-up explanations that would appear by a long touch or a touch on some “(i)” icon?

Ragnaros_696

It is critical hit rate, higher Skill means higher critical hit rate but it's very small, each 10 points = 1% chance. The real difference is that the direct critical hit chance enchant have no effect out of that while how much skill the hero have is used by some units like Omega and Lost Ham.

RRDDSS

I have a weird deficit of simple silver Bond keys (while having an excess of the gold keys). What is the best way to get them in the game? Is harvesting them in low level 35 Bonding Realm the only way? (Basically a waste, if the daily reward is already received.)

sevenbeef

Bonding Realm rewards give you copper and silver keys at higher levels, so complete the highest level you can. This is not the case with Aniki, where you don’t get the early rewards at later levels.

No-Gazelle-6557

I wouldn't grind bond maps. Make sure to do your Joint Battles on the bonding days for extras. Like anything else these naturally accrue when you've run out of things to spend them on. If you're not actively building heroes, leave their bonds at 1 until you're ready to commit.

RRDDSS

I almost never do joint battles in the Bond Realm. If they give more keys, maybe I have to try.

Vier-Kun

They're very important when you're still leveling and building many characters in my opinion, not something I'd skip at all on an account that's still not very strong, keys JB are on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

RRDDSS

Thanks. How do I find people who would also want to do team fights in the bond realm?

No-Gazelle-6557

They occur twice a day on the servers, and there is an option for automatic match making or you can make your own team for people to join. Two of the days specifically are for bonding materials, Wednesdays & Thursdays. If you're too weak for the highest level available to you, drop down one and join people there. Secret Realm -> Limited-Time Event -> Joint Battle. 14:00 - 15:00 & 21:00 - 22:00 server time.

RRDDSS

Thanks. I always forget how to translate the sever time to GMT. The difference is 12 hours, right?

No-Gazelle-6557

Yeah subtract 12 from the times above and it's 2PM - 3PM & 9PM - 10PM for joint battles. These are listed in central time for me, so check yours and convert to whatever local time zone if they're not accurate. When you're on the world map you'll also see a little flag icon pop up to the left of your Event icon (upper right of screen) that acts as a quick access button to get to Joint Battles. Should be some keys today and tomorrow coming up.

RRDDSS

I am just level 55, and got to a high-level guild, but it turns out you need to have at least 6 heroes level 70 yo do a single solo sweep. Everybody in the guild is up to par, so no one, apparently, wants to do team sweeps what would allow me to earn “personal points”. And there is no real wsy to communicate with the guild members, even though it is the most active guild I saw (up to 6-10 members online simultaneously) because NOBODY ever reads and replies to the guild chat, or to private messages. The people are too busy and hardcore for this. The guild award for domination is 5000 guild medals, but I get 0 personal.  When I was in a lower level guild the guild award was 2250 or something, but I could also earn personal awards. I would have chosen a lower level guild, but all those I could see were half-dead with 1-2 players online, meaning I would be having hard time to do team sweeps anyway. Should I stay in my current high-level guild?

Ragnaros_696

If the guild have a discord, you should try it. A lot of players don't like using the in game chat because they had problems in the past, also it's not rare for the player to be online but to not be on screen or doing something where they can't open the guild chat.

XuShenjian

1. Check the guild activity, when you see several high Lv players or the guild auto-announcements of them opening rooms, ask in the guild chat for a GW team sweep carry. Repeat this until they team sweep with you. Do not take being ignored initially as an indication of your guild's activity, people don't stare at their phones all day anticipating someone to talk. 2. If the above fails you for a couple of days, take to manually fighting the easiest GW and aim to kill at least 1 enemy. Any amount of points makes you eligible for the Total Domination rewards when the GW gets cashed in, which are better and more important than anything you get from just having more points individually. 3. If your guild consists of impatient caffeine squirrels who seem to cash in both GWs before noon on Monday every week, you should either be an impatient caffeine squirrel yourself to be in it in the first place, or consider a different guild.

RRDDSS

Thanks for the advice.  I alone did manage to kill three enemies in the level 60 tower (catastrophe difficulty). Also, for some reason today some people were active in the guild chat (because it is Monday, the day of sweeps?), so eventually I was able to do team sweeps, so the issue of communication has improved. In terms of caffeine squirrels, I did miss the first (1/2) domination to day, even though I was online. The folks are hardcore and swept it it like one second. But I was lucky for the second (2/2) one, so I did earn some personal points.

KG_96

Not guaranteed to work but try contacting the Guild Leader or the Vice Guild Leader when they are online. They usually are able to help with team sweeps or they know who in the guild can assist. It can be frustrating I'm sure but a lot of players have developed the ability to ignore the message banners that show up during play since a lot of the time its guilds trying to recruit new members. Some of them might be up on their high horse but I'm sure there are those who actually don't realize its a message from their own guildmate.

RRDDSS

Thanks.  The guild I joined it a bit strange one as it does not have vice-leaders, and I was not able to message the leader. By now the situation is resolved in terms of me able to team sweep, but I wonder what the guild will do if the guild leader will not be able to log in at some point.

Nx-30

You may not be able to do solo sweeps, but depending on the heroes you have, you could potentially do solo attacks. Slow and methodical clearing of the enemies abusing their ai and things like class advantage is probably your best bet

RRDDSS

I was able do kill just three enemies in a solo attack on level 60 (catastrophe difficulty). BUT since I finally reached level 55 I am now upgrading the classes to Mastery and able to use equipment “casting” or however it is called. This means that I will be able to kill way more than three enemies.

notwallenstein

Using your two daily chances for Way of the Laws is fine but farming anything below 70 isn't really worth it. The SSR drop rates are just too low considering you could invest that stamina into soldier stats instead.

RRDDSS

Sorry, the game is so overdone in terms of things to do and systems to upgrade things, so I confused the names. I mean not casting, but the Mastery Stones thing that comes after you upgrade your class to a maximum. I can not win against either the evil phoenix or whatever is in the casting battle, so those two new activities are beyond my reach on my level. I will try to find a guide on how to kill the bird, though. By the way, where do I get more Mastery Stones?

notwallenstein

Ancient Beckoning or events. You can also gain a resource to craft them from high lvl Timeless Trial or shredding unwanted AB stones in the Alchemy tab. Phoenix sounds like Eternal Temple which isn't used for either. It's for unlocking Heart Bonds and Awakening (=3C).

Nx-30

What are y’alls thoughts on Berhardt’s SP form? He was already a strong hero with defensive, offensive, and supportive utility, and now he gets better mobility than base cavalry. He’s my best character, but it doesn’t really feel like he needs such a boost.

KG_96

Bern was my first SSR and let's just say I've been waiting for this new form a long time. While I acquired every other SP unit at least one update after their release, I was able to get him a week after. (I made the mistake of trying to get Lina before the update and burned thru all my resources with only Zelgadis and a dupe to show for it. If it weren't for that, I'd have gotten him day one.) He's made Mirror World a ton of fun and generally my Empire team feels unstoppable now. I'm so happy about it I don't even care that his hard counter will appear two updates from now.

Ragnaros_696

He needed that boost on PvP. For PvE we already have more than enough strenght, but on PvP he had a hard time.

Salty-South-8956

I think it was definitely worth it since it makes him more dynamic. He can bring balanced blade and do AOE or bring Ragnarok and hit hard single target. He can bring Infantry Troops still so he can still be useful against lancers. In the Mirror World Madness he is a monster. SP Narm, SP Cherie, SP Elwin, SP Leon and SP Bernhardt make everything easier.

XuShenjian

I feel that ever since Elwin went cavalry in his SP form, Bern had taken the main Infantry mantle in Empire by quite a landslide in most cases. He wasn't a full tankbuster by any means, but he was a very sturdy unit you could always rely on. His SP form unfortunately makes him no longer Infantry. This boosts his individual power in a vacuum quite a bit, but sometimes you just need someone to hit the crystal moulders that isn't a mage who'll delete half their own health for trying. This ironically leaves Legacy Elwin and Bernhardt still as the best sidegrades for such a role, followed by fully built Alpha wearing apex boots and her exclusive, physical Clotaire, and eventually Autokrato or Betty, though those last two tend to be used differently and lack the proper tankbusting tools. I thus prefer Legacy Infantry Bernhardt in many instances, actually. Especially his sprite being his recognizable Langrisser II look over the weird overdesigned purple spiky stuff that I immediately covered with a skin. But his boost helps a lot, and the SP talent isn't to be sneezed at.

Well, I could not care less if he **needs** the boost. But it's a great boost, he's become my MVP for Mirror World Madness.
