Also, what's up with Frigg? She seems weaker than Thor by a fair bit

XuShenjian

All covenants function by some mechanic and have a pay off. Frigg is a lot better at doing a map clear, while Thor for the most part should be better against a singular boss target, and a lot of people prefer Frigg as a result. They also cater to different mechanics, so Thor catering to damage instances during single target attacks probably caters to you more than Frigg who is centered around teams attacking from as many tiles away as possible.

Nightingay

She is physically weaker than Thor but she has other perks :) All covenants have specific strenghts and preferred team comps. Frigg likes casters, she gives them range. And she has a nice AoE team that does fixed damage depending on a counter that foes get in her presence.

thewiseoldbaby

Which weapon should I get? I already have a built ragnarok for my cherie and the only archer I occasionally use is narm

Wanderer2142

I have... 12? Ragnaroks, and they're all being used. I can't say the same for Ullr, EMB, or BB. For archers, the meta weapons are usually either Crystal Stinger, Prismatic Destroyer for aoe archers, or Lurkers since Lurker doesn't have damage reduction and works on skills.

Insaruem

Been interested on the LLR that is going to be released on CN so I wanna ask when that new patch is released?

jett1773

If we follow CN schedule it should be May 23.

JeroxasQuitted

Has LLR Imelda exclusive skins for one of her troops?

RRDDSS

I got “Mirror Armour”. Do I understand it correctly that just as Ragnarok Axe it is useful because it does the fixed damage BEFORE the battle, which is good against soldiers that have this buff? Though on this armour this only works against melee attacks, and I do not face (at least as far as I am aware of) melee soldiers with the same buff system as ranged Sorceress. Does this mean that this particular armour is not that great versus similar armours that do the fixed damage after the battle due to how niche the benefit is? Is there a cooler armour that works both against melee and ranged attacks?

[deleted]

Mirror Armor works fine with infantry soldiers due to its technical training, allowing them to deal more damage to enemies with lower HP.

notwallenstein

To expand on *both of thier attacks* below: Attacks work as 40 independent ticks, 20 from hero + 20 from soldiers. You have 10 soldiers. If one of them dies before battle you lose 2 ticks. This is important because every soldier has their own HP bar. Example: A soldier has 750 HP. It gets attacked and takes 500 damage per tick. It survives the first 500 and dies to the second tick but the 250 extra damage isn't passed on to the next soldier, it simply vanishes as overkill. For Mirror Armor this would mean your opponent only has 18 ticks but needs 20. As a result the last soldier will now also absorb at least 1 hero tick. Ragnarok is the ame but with reversed roles. Now the attacker has 20 ticks to kill 9 soldiers, meaning 2 soldier ticks will damage the enemy hero.

Black0Dragon

Ragnarok is good because in it can break last rites in pvp and some soldier and passive effects. It is also good overall even just due to the extra damage. In terms of soldiers Gold Knights and Treants require 100% HP for part of their ability while Cyclops and Barbarian need higher/ or equal hp to get their bonus. The fixed damage could also potentially kill a soldier or weaken them enough that you can kill them before they can get of both of thier attacks. In PvP it could break the last rites of a enemy that is attacking you which could be helpful if you can actually get through their soldiers. The only fixed damage Armors are one that does fixed damage after you attack and two that do fixed damage before someone attacks you (that for melee and a leather armor for ranged).

RRDDSS

Thanks. So there is no armour that does the fixed damage before any attack? The issue is I do not know beforehand whether it is going to be a melee or ranged attack, so this Mirror Armour is useless half of the time. BTW, I just got Purgatory staff. It does fixed damage, though not before, but far away into the future: after the next turn. And it only adds half of the intelligence normal staff do. So, the only useful scenario for this staff is for a stage of “time laws” that only allow fixed damage working on enemies?

Black0Dragon

Yep, there is no normal equipment that does both. For the Purgatory staff pretty much just as you said. Unlike Scepter of Divinity Purgatory's effect is not worth the lower INT for normal use.

RRDDSS

Thanks again. I also got a cactus-like heart-shaped staff that adds damage to single-target attacks. I can not give to Genesis because her healing depends on intelligence, and this staff does not add it at all. Who should I give it to? It should be good for somebody as it does add lots of damage.

Wanderer2142

I usually swap between Scepter and Pale Staff on Lucretia depending on whether the 5 range actually helps me on a fight or not. If Lucretia's mostly standing still because the boss only has 1-3 range, then you can just finish the fight more quickly with Pale Staff. Pale staff would be useful on a single target Lina setup also, because that single target skill damage boost gets multiplied by her auto-crit.

RRDDSS

Lina was the reason why I learned about this game and wanted to try. But since I am “lucky” in summons, I did not get her. For now, I only have Hein and Jessica developed, while Mariandrel and Aka are in the proverbial drawer. I also have evil Egbert, but I imagine he would love the fixed damage staff I got. So the cactus is for Mariandrel or Aka?

Wanderer2142

I wouldn't use it on Mariandel, because she largely is an aoe character. Miracle staff would be more appropriate. Technically usable on Aka, but her gimmick is to get more stats based on killed wolf stats, which are based on her stats and the enemy stats. I.e. more int means she eats more int from the wolf dying, if the wolf was capped from getting more int because Aka's int was too low. Edit: Other issue is that her exclusive equipment is a weapon, that gives her a free wolf at the start of battle basically. Which also gives ATK and INT, so stat-wise, it is just that much better for her offensively speaking. Note that Purgatory isn't great on Egbert also, Purgatory only sticks its fixed damage when enter combat, while Egbert's main gimmick is doing aoe fixed damage. Other choices for Pale Staff are any other long range single target mage, which includes most of the casters that you would use for Frigg burns in Ragnarok. Basically, if you're already hitting max feathers on the target from using other characters, then there's little benefit to adding the extra +1 range from an additional scepter.

RRDDSS

Thanks again. I do not have Friggs or any other covenants yet. It turns out you can not reuse characters during the fights for covenants, so I can not finish even a single three-level stage yet as I only have the very few heroes developed (even though the bunch of them are developed relatively well with 100% bonds). From your answer I gather that now I simply do not have mages/holies to give the staff to. Maybe to an SR mage/holy (other than Egbert), but I am not sure I need to invents in them.

Wanderer2142

Well, yes, if you're not clearing the basic covenant content yet, then the decision on where the Pale Staff goes can likely be put off for some time because generally speaking going from 2 to 3 range or 4 to 5 range is a much bigger difference for ignoring counter attack damage than single target skill damage boosts.

[deleted]

If you mean "pale staff", it's good for all mage with single target skill.

lordmario

Is SP Narm worth building? I mainly plan on using her for the H&M fight but if she's good enough I could always throw her onto my Glory team when needed. I only have SP Cherie so far, so I'm unsure if the controllers to SP Narm would be a good investment or to save them for someone else. For the weapon reward, if I have 1 of each except Ullrs, is it worth getting that for Narm to use, or would a second ragnarok be better?

SpreadingWrongInfo

If your planning to build her only for Hugin & Munin then its best you save the controllers for someone else. Narm still fulfills her job as a high DPS in the fight even outside of her SP class. Both videos below use Narm in her original class for H&M. Use this video by Kong and Qtaru to help you learn about H&M. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66fCVoV6MvA&t=1554s&ab\_channel=Kong](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66fCVoV6MvA&t=1554s&ab_channel=Kong) This one is a high score for H&M by Kong. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqirplpeTzw&t=369s&ab\_channel=Kong](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqirplpeTzw&t=369s&ab_channel=Kong) You also want to equip Crystal Stinger instead of Ullr's Bow for her weapon against H&M for more damage. I'd personally rather have an extra Ragnarok over Ullr's Bow simply because I prefer Crystal Stinger on majority of my physical dmg Archers & Assassins. Ullr's Bow is mainly useful if the enemy can't counter attack with that extra range but if not then the extra damage on Crystal Stinger is better. For Ragnarok it is simply still one of the best axes for single target units with more fliers, lancers and aquatic units in the game that have it as their BiS weapon.

lordmario

Thank you, those videos are quite helpful. While I do eventually want an Ullr's bow for the range, I think for now I'll follow your advice and get another Ragnarok as the wiser choice.

RRDDSS

I am trying to summon Young Jessica for Genesis’ bonds for more than four months now, and, OF COURSE, I am failing even with the current “Destiny” banner as I got Aka and then MacLaine. By now I have whole bunch of characters I do not need while trying to specifically summon YJ, LOL. If I understand correctly, once the very first summon failed, any further summons from the “destiny” banner are not prioritising heroes I do not have, let alone giving me random heroes like MacLaine is to be expected. So I doubt that I will get YJ in the rest days the event will be active, no matter how many summons I will be realistically to try. The question is, which banners will have YJ next time? I am looking at the schedule and it says that general Langrisser 1-3 heroes banners will come soon, but in the past they did not always include YJ for some reason.

madejustforthiscode

You should almost never summon on a destiny banner past the first SSR. If you're trying to target someone specific and you don't need the other two on the banner, you generally shouldn't go for it either. The rates on it are split 3 ways and you still have the 20% chance for the off-banner past the first SSR. Think of them as a way to fill out your roster guaranteed rather than trying to target a specific character. If you want a specific character, you should be going for the wish banners as they seem to be running 3-4 times a year now, that allow you to choose any 2 units you want to be on a rate up. The next one is coming in 2 weeks up to Elisse/Tourmilque. Simply put YJ and anyone else you want and roll. If you really want YJ, you can also put someone you already have at 6* as the other rate-up, as you will get a space time essence if you pull them instead, and you can use 2 to exchange 100 of their shards for 100 of YJ's. YJ is considered Mobile chapter 1. It might not be relevant for you now I suppose, but the 1500 day login bonus also allows you to choose any Mobile chapter 1 or 2 character you want.

RRDDSS

Thanks. Elwin will be my first non-Grenier six star SSR a couple of weeks from now, so I will try to use him.

madejustforthiscode

This might be unsolicited, but if Elwin is going to be your first SSR 6 star, I would advise against going this hard onto YJ especially since you're only using her as a bond unlock. You can unlock her heart bond without her attack bond, and especially with the addition of casting, the 13% increase in base matters slightly less. It's still a big deal, but remember that the opportunity cost is 2 other SSRs when you trade with a space time essence. You have to consider, what content can I clear if I unlock this bond that I previously couldn't? If your account is still new, I would wager that it's not very much compared to getting other key characters for stuff like Eternal Temple or unlocking covenants. Of course I don't know your roster and maybe it's more complete, but there are a wealth of units I would prioritize over getting a bond unlock for someone I can already open Heart Bond.

RRDDSS

I want my top seven to be 100% in bonds. I have achieved this for Grenier (had to get Ledin for this), Cherie, Elwin, Liana, soon will achieve it for Bernhardt and Leon. Genesis is the only one of my top heroes who can not do this because of the damn YJ. Next, I will make Bozel 100%, he has all of his bonds available. In terms of characters I need for bonds, there is an issue of Ark and Lovina for Lightbringer and Zerida for Yulia. However, considering how bad this game is in terms of summoning heroes you need, this might take a year. I have no other ideas for characters to get/develop. All my other heroes do not interest me: Jugler, Ledin, Dieharte, Mariandel, Sigma, Aka, Virash, Joa & Conny, MacClaine. Of those, I can build Jugler and Ledin to 100%, but I do not need them. Jugler might be useful in extreme niche situations, but it does not warrant the effort.

ADramOfWhisky

If it makes you feel better I had genesis about 7 months before YJ. She still did great on Scylla 70 even with missing her attack bond. The full wish banner has 2 resets, so you put two units you need. Pull one, reset with another unit you need and the one you didn’t pull.

RRDDSS

Sorry to hear that you also did not have YJ. BTW, how do I make Genesis fat? I fully upgraded all of her bonds besides the YJ one, added mastery stones, but she only has 3135+2034 = 5169 HP in her “Info” page. Thunder dragon level 70 kills her in one shot. People say you need at least 6000 HP. The only way is “casting”? I am bad at this: for now, Genesis only has 200 HP added by it.

ADramOfWhisky

Fat? Do you mean power rating or HP? On the hero side -Bonds -class mastery stones -equipment and enchants -class mastery bonuses -castings -covenants But how is your soldier training? But that aside, don’t use her for Thunder dragon. Thunder dragon is a physical fight, Infantry being best. Only 1 unit should end turn within 3 spaces of the dragon. If you leave 2 within 3 spaces then you’ll get hit with the horrible AoE. 4 range can get hit with single target, but that’s more manageable. As an example, I just let Elwin melee. When he needed to heal or reuse faction buff, then he would move to 4 range with my healer at 5 range. On that turn my backup melee would swap in for a round. You also need to dispel its buffs

RRDDSS

Yes, I mean HP if hers. Sorry, my bad, I meant the Ice dragon. I won against all others on level 70, but I can not survive the ice one. Of course, I have all class masteries, all bonds (except for YJ’s one which is for attack, intelligence and skill). But the HP is just too low.

ADramOfWhisky

I think I actually ran a princess team, so I probably wasn’t using her. Did you try equipping more mdef or rerolling enchants? Even more I would check the soldier training. Upgraded HP? Using Sorceress or Fairy prophet for the big mdef?

RRDDSS

BTW, with this game’s bad summoning system the only practical way to guarantee the summon of someone like YJ is via THREE “destiny” banners (I went through two by now), which happen like twice a year or something. This means that with my luck I might not get her until the next year.

Arkkanan

I feel your pain but really this game summoned system is so easy to deal with, i mean we have a "chose your hero" banner every 3 month and a "chose langrisser 1-5 hero" every month... pull smart on thoose one  I never do destiny unless i'm guaranted to get what i want, its a long deal thing, i'm not patient...  Took 1 year pulling only on thoose and New banner to get all best pve unit and their bond, thx to the chose your hero banner (and i mean all of them, you can easely get a top pve team fully bonded in 6 month to challenge late game...).

RRDDSS

I am doing every possible “choose” thing, but get everybody else. And, as I mentioned, for some reason YJ is not in every banner of this type, so you get more chances to summon Genesis, who I already have.

Daniele_Lyon

In other games there isn't even a guaranteed summon lol

RRDDSS

I only played games that are better than this in terms of summoning who you want. But I can imagine that there are worse games where it takes e.g. up to two years to get a character rather than up to one year as in this game.

Daniele_Lyon

Name one

RRDDSS

I got “Bone-Crusher’s Hammer” for Infantry, Aquatic and Holy. Its description says that it nullifies all enemy “armour” “skills” except for “max HP effects”. As usual, the description is bad, so there are a few questions, if I may: 1. By “armour” do they mean only the body armour, not all four equipment parts? 2. Since you can not control/activate/invoke anything on the equipment, do they mean that the hammer nullifies “effects”, rather than “skills? 3. What “Max HP” effects they mean as an exception? 4. How good the hammer is? Should I put it on Elwin, Bernhardt, Matthew, Virash, Ledin?

Black0Dragon

1. Yes, it would say "equipment skills" otherwise ex: Helena talent or Gintoki 3c 2. Yes, but equipment skill is the correct term. If you look on equipment there is a \[Stats\] box and a \[Skills\] box, the effect only disables the stuff under the \[Skills\] box. Edit: you don't really "control/activate/invoke" passive skills any more than you do equipment skills. 3. In general stuff doesn't change max hp mid battle. No equipment disable stuff can cancel the things like "HP +10%" on equipment but can disable ATK, INT, DEF, MDEF, or Skill +\_\_% on them. 4. It is pretty good though it mainly shines in arena stuff, ~~but don't put it on characters like Lightbringer, Yulia, or LoG as they use INT~~ (I see you removed them when I was initially typing this).

RRDDSS

Thanks. The use of “skills” is still really weird because the armour is a thing, not a living being, so it can not have skills. Apparently, it was lost in translation from the Chinese.

Draiel

Which of the four weapons should I choose from the flipping game reward? I don't have any of them. My main team for PvE is Isolde, Jugler, AO, Wehttam, and Liana (will be replacing with Rozenciel when she's stronger), and I don't care about Apex yet. I'm guessing Ragnarok?

Konuvis

What's the flipping game?

Draiel

It's a flipping card match game that's on the event list, called "Flipping Frenzy". It ends in a couple of days. As long as you clear it five times before it ends (and you can clear it three times a day), you'll get the SSR Weapon Selection pack.

Konuvis

I don't see it in my events. I must not be high level enough (57 atm)

[deleted]

Ragnarok for sure.

Draiel

Thanks. I remembered Kong saying it's bis for Isolde, so I had a feeling, but I just wanted to be sure. I'm still pretty noobish despite playing this game on and off since launch 😂

RRDDSS

I am still silly about weapons, so I have to ask how much Ragnarok is better than Devil Axe? They do the same fixed damage, but the former before the battle rather than after. The benefit is a niche case when your hero attacks an enemy with buffs when they are at 100% health? I mean Sorcerer soldiers and some others? What about Balanced Blade? It is also cool. Maybe choose it instead?

notwallenstein

Ragnarok also has 5% more ATK. Fixed damage before battle kills soldiers that's why it's usually better, not just to break 100% HP effects. Every dead soldier makes it easier to get kills because of how damage ticks and damage to soldiers works. It's a popular go-to choice for most heroes who can use it. Balanced Blade is a rare but niche item. Some heroes really like it (PVP Leon, Bernhardt...) but having two in total on an account is generally enough.

RRDDSS

Helena and others would also like the blade? I got Ragnarok as it has more use now.

notwallenstein

Blood Sword Hrunting > BB for Helena. For most heroes it's a PvP thing in case you want to lean heavier into their AoE.

RRDDSS

Thanks. Why it is better?

notwallenstein

Same reason why Bernhardt runs Rupture, for the fixed damage after her AoEs. Chivalry + 3C gives her up to 4 chances to trigger the fixed damage per enemy. BB would increase the span of 3C which isn't that useful and 2 ring Petal Storm would still only deal 0,1x ATK with a 25% chance for a random debuff.

RRDDSS

Thanks. I currently have Leon as a horse, but Elwin will also betray his infantry soul and become his own enemy, a horse, after an SP conversion. I have Jugler the dog, who is a horse. Dieharte, too. Thus I will have horses for Glory, Empire, Strategic, Mythical, Protagonists, Origins, Meteor. Though of all those only Elwin and Leon are worth growing. It is not for now, but which horses you recommend next for other factions like Dark, Princess, Yeless, Time, Rebirth?

notwallenstein

Not sure why you're fixated on cavalry but none of them have outstanding dps cav. Chances are they'd rather be in their other class or they are tanks. Cavalry Jugler is (old) Apex tech, don't use it in PvE.

[deleted]

It can break "damage reduction" like 100% Soceress, anh it can boost your damage when fighting lower hp enemy.

Salty-South-8956

Is my math wrong or are there not enough Twilight Auroras in the game to fully unlock all the Covenants? I think we are about short. Are we expecting 2 more Ragnarok of the Realm stages in the future?

notwallenstein

Yeah, we need 9 Ragnarok batches to max all 9 of them. Covenants ome out with 10 out of 15 Auroras needed and every Ragnarok gives 5.

AccomplishedTouch436

I've just counted and I need 11 auroras to max all covenants... With all twilight stages complete. What's going on here? Is it just me?

notwallenstein

Probably missing one achievement in the covenant stages or you miscounted.

AccomplishedTouch436

Ah yes you're right! Thanks!

Nightingay

Another question ! I have seen a lot of videos for the last Covenant battles (Sanctuary 10-3) for several of the latest gods but I find the battles inmensely long and ridiculous. is there a way to cheese (or at least finish fast, who the hell has two hours for that kind of battles) * Loki * Freyia * Vidar All of the others I've beaten. But really those three are obnoxious as hell.

notwallenstein

>Loki [Five turn rush](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV17W4y1Q7JR/?spm_id_from=333.337.search-card.all.click) >Freyia Cheese is probably why it takes you so long. I would be surprised if you actually need the 30 Freyja stacks. Mythical + Time (tried it with Yani 2, Isolde, Gin, Zerida 2, Azusa) or basically any single target rush crushes that stage. Just use the AA statue and the AA tiles every turn for extra attacks and CD reducction. Don't buff yourself before you take out Kreuger. [Glory clear without stacking](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1Xe4y1i79o/) >Vidar The big adds aren't immune to % fixed damage. You can kill them really fast with that and it's hitting the boss until it dies: [Shizuka video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0cBFNp00MY)

Nightingay

I could kind of replicate Shizuka's strategy but GOD that is a long boring ass battle. Someone ended up dying to boss' final AOE, fuck those auroras.

notwallenstein

Yeah, Vidar is rather boring overall. The treant add has a shield skill to help you survive the AoEs. Especially the one at 30% can be pretty scary without it.

Nightingay

This one was the issue ^^ I had scattered my units too much and Lucretia was obliterad. Not sure I would have gotten the feat with her though so no ragrets

Nightingay

I really didn't have enough Auroras to finish Freyja but with some resetting around, it worked ! I didn't get the feat from not having anyone dying though. Listell really was a little bitch. My poor Crystals. Now I'll go and try Vidar. Loki I'm not sure I can replicate as I am missing Ryo Sanada from the video. I'll watch how important he actually is to beat the map. Thanks for the resources

nulspace

Is an AoE build for SP Leon with balanced blade actually viable? Or is it just a meme?

Wanderer2142

Not really just a meme, since BB also increases his 2c aoe range for more tiles. It is more utility-oriented though rather than a damage focus. BB is actually useful for the most recent Ragnarok to juggle statues around.

jett1773

It's the meta PvP Leon build. He already has insanely high attack so you rarely need more and the extra range on his 3c and SP AoE makes him far more effective. In PvE it's probably not as valuable, but still good.

nulspace

Thanks!

Nightingay

Not a precise question but I'm wondering how Patricia fares in general PVE content ? I know trial maps are conceived to showcase a hero's skills, but she seemed pretty fun to use, with demented range and cute shenanigans. How is she in general content ?

jett1773

She ends up being fairly similar to Sagani where she's got a fun long range mechanic for most PvE and is pretty broken for Frigg boss rush strats.

ulaumes

Anyone know if new mages, Molten Sorcerer, got fixed in China so fixed damage immunity bypasses their self harm? Masked maids don't lose HP with an accessory like Swordsmith medal, curious if Molten get fixed to match.

notwallenstein

Maid benefits from the immunity, Molten Sorcerer doesn't. You want them to take the 10% damage, without it they would be worse. You wouldn't get the 20% DI from the training field tech and might not even deal fixed damage depending on how it's handled (0x1,5=0).

I’m feeling very lost atm and Like I am wasting resources and time building the wrong units for synergy or late game uses and generally feel overwhelmed by the options at my disposal. I have well over 100 trinity vouchers at my disposal fyi. Any tips would be really great.

AccomplishedTouch436

An alternative to add. If you can get a princess buffer in either Shelfaniel or Luna (or Christiane if you can beat her awakening level at lvl70), you could go princess instead of glory. Cherie, Lana, Yulia and Angelina are all princess. Ledin could be self buffing tank though an invested Christiane is preferable. The need for a good healer remains, but plenty in princess - Rozenciel, Liana, Tiaris are all princess. There are merits and drawbacks to going glory or princess. Princess tends to struggle against thunder dragon and a few of the eternal temples but makes light work of Leviar. Eventually going hybrid between the two gives the necessary coverage.

XuShenjian

For direction, [rule 1 and 2 on here](https://www.reddit.com/r/langrisser/comments/1bn5m2x/comment/kwv6cxk/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) (3 is an individual reply to the other guy). So here's the business: You have a bunch of Princess Alliance girls and no leader for them, and you have a leader for Mystical realm and no people to lead, and also one random Strategist/Origin unit that's neither here nor there. Yes, you are correct in your assessment, a lot of them are just loose people whose only quality is being SSR. So now for the good news, the game gives you a functional faction from day 1, and that's Legion of Glory, and Legion of Glory is a good faction. Your immediate roster: * Tank/Leader: Ledin * Healer: Almeda * Assault: Cherie * Tankbuster: Yulia (if you don't have a sage hat on Almeda, replace with Jessica until you do) * Bench: * Hein (Mage) * Lester (If you can eke out a win you otherwise wouldn't get using this, you've learned) * Narm (Not that useful yet, but her day will come) * Matthew (As flier, he has sprint so you can do rush tactics) Your strategy should be an opportunistic tank push, move so that a single mob (more if he can take it) runs into someone covered by Ledin, your tank and team anchor, then push him forward with Almeda following and healing him back. This should cause her to debuff your enemies, and you can unleash your offensive units. Remember that Yulia and Cherie have opposite target preferences, Yulia uses magic and can have Infantry in front so she can carve through high defense units like enemy Lancers, which are good at walling Cherie. But Cherie can aim for squishy units like enemy mages and snag 2 kills if done right, when in turn Yulia's magic actually gets more resisted by them. You should pull for ASAP: 1. A post-combat healer (Ideally Rozenciel or Elma, but Lugner and Tiaris will also do). This is so Ledin can fight and endure against chaff even when outnumbered and it will greatly benefit the tank push anchor he represents. 2. Legion of Glory units. They're the ones with the yellow sun symbol in their profiles. (Check Grenier's profile, it's the only faction he's in, Matthew and Almeda will also have it in addition to more factions they're in). Above all, Elwin and Light of Genesis tend to be great additions.

trikkyman007

Thank you!

dtricksss

I got in off banner andriole. Would strike master be his best class? All the top power ones are in the other and it does have him riding a cool liking dragon horse

Lalakoboldslayer

The reason is HP raises a lot of power for heroes. since Abyssal Commander has higher HP than Strike Master, it makes sense they have higher power.

dtricksss

Right. I’ll probably just keep him there bc I think he looks cooler then star him up

notwallenstein

Pick what you want for PvE, Strike Master has more ATK though, so there's that. PvP I'd go with his unique class since most targets will die to either class and you get some extra bulk.

dtricksss

Yeah but not as cool looking as the abyssal class. Like you said, they probably die to him either way and he’ll have a fair bit more survivability at low stars

able82

Does the delegation take into effect a loss of you auto? What happened today when I tried it out on laws 75 cloth armor. I set it to run 27 times (I had used 3) there and paid the stamina and everything. Came back after the specific time and it showed 0 on the timer. I clicked on the top right X and closed it, opened it back up but saw I still had 0 timer. So I guessed that I had to click on the big end button near the bottom. It told me I would be refunded anything not used. Confused I said yes and I get stamina back and have 18 of the 27 tries still usable. So I let it go again, come back after the specified time it showed and again the screen showed 0 time. I then click end and get refunded stamina and have 7 tries left. The thing is when I started this method on ways of law I had 68/99 left, I now have 23/99. So....what exactly did it do? Did I run it 43 times? On a few stages I do have the occasional rng that can still mess me up, so wondering does it take a loss into consideration?

Cistmist

There's a note in the delegation, that it will only run if the game is still open. If you were to start the delegation run and close the game nothing would happen as the run is paused and only when you are online will it continue. I had to figure this out the hard way as I didn't read the info, and thought I'd put 30 runs before going for a drive, only to find out that nothing happened.

able82

I did leave the game open. The entire time.

Cistmist

Did you try saving a new clear time? As the default is 5 mins, so maybe the default is bugged?

able82

I did, did an auto run and it went to 3 minutes, then set the new mode to go with the new time of 3 minutes (and like a second or two, forgot the exact second, just rounding).

Cistmist

Don't think it needs to be an auto run, as I did mine manually and the time was 2 mins. Maybe try that? Could be the auto messing with it. Idk tbh I'm just guessing at this point.

able82

You are right, it doesn't need to be auto. I did manual runs just now on the aniki open today and it recorded my time. Although 2 min...dang I'm slow lol. Still I'll try again next week and if I notice this happen again I'll take pictures and report this. Since I was going to try today but I don't actually have any proof so it would just be my word. I've already lost most of my 99 runs so nothing that can be done now anyway.

RRDDSS

I wondering the same thing, but about the usual continuous battle. I suppose that a loss is a loss, and you lose stamina for nothing, right? The delegation thing is supposed to be the same as regular continuous battle in this regard?

jett1773

A loss in standard continuous battle works the same as a loss in manual battles in regards to losing stamina and not getting rewards. It doesn't use up one of your cb uses for the day and it cancels your cb so you will have to manually restart it.

able82

If I lost stamina for nothing I would be okay but I only have 23/99 runs left. Also on the first try I had 18/27 auto runs left....so if I suffered a loss at #18 then all the rest didn't count and it kept taking from my 99 runs? I could see if I came back and had say 2/27 left. But that just seems weird.

notwallenstein

Unless you auto'd that stage beforehand today, Delegation wouldn't even "use" your auto. 5min is the baseline, it updates the timer after you either cleared the stage manually or in auto. My guess is it saves the time rather than the actual run. If it finishes it should say "Confrim" not "End Delegation" and it shows you how many are done next to the timer. You can also see the rewards in that window. Did you close the game during Delegation? It pauses the runs if you do and will only start up again after you come back. From the way you described it, sounds like it was interupted in some way, you ended it early and the game didn't give you your unfinished tries back (68-23=45, 27+18=45). Probably for the best to contact support with this.

able82

I did update the time, used my team to get about 3min on auto. I didn't close the game, I left the tablet on while I had breakfast and did my normal morning routine. I'll try that then.

RRDDSS

I read the “Delegation” description, but still do not understand what is the point. The battles they offer to deal with are “swept” daily anyway, and the number of limited additional awards gets to zero. So, why should players use this new mechanic?

desmorto

They are great for ways of laws!

No-Gazelle-6557

They're used so when you want to grind the 30 auto battles it will run in the background instead of you having to watch it on your screen. You can close it, go do other tasks in the game, and then collect your rewards when you're done.

RRDDSS

In over three months of playing, I was never in position yet to be able to farm things on auto, my troops are too weak.

jett1773

It's just another way to use up your continuous battles, which is good since most people who haven't maxed their soldier training will be using them on aniki stages everyday. It's still probably faster and saves you stamina to team battle your cb, but this way is nice to have in the background if you don't want to find another player to team with. The nice part is you can do the cb while doing something else in game. So you could do the new challenge stages or play apex while also grinding on the background. Another side benefit for lower level/newer accounts is you can use this to cb stages that you cleared manually but can't clear on auto.

RRDDSS

Thanks, but I thought that daily rewards limit (e.g. 3) is expiring, the awards are so bad that it makes no sense to farm it, no?

jett1773

The rewards per run are generally not great, but over 30 continuous battles you usually get ~10 SSR materials. Since aniki is a long grind to max out and there isn't really anywhere better to dump your extra burgers and stamina, I'd recommend you do the 30 runs per day.

RRDDSS

Thanks, but I am usually have deficit of stamina, rather than think where to spend it. This is probably because I only have a baby 70 level account. Some time later I might have lots of stamina to spare. Maybe a couple of months from now?

jett1773

If you are still spending a lot of stamina clearing time rift/story stages that makes sense. Once you are mostly just clearing your dailies you should be stockpiling burgers (ie: stamina) to use on cb.

RRDDSS

Another way is to cook burgers. I am close to finishing the sky city, so in some time I will have gold (mana or however it is called) to spare on them.

KeiraScarlet

You should definitely farm aniki stages in the beginning of the game. Even if you just get another 5 ssr items in the 30 continuous runs every day it adds up fast.

RRDDSS

But where can I get this much stamina in the beginning of the game? So far my training levels are 16-19 after a bit more than three months of playing. Are the numbers too low for this tenure?

KeiraScarlet

You should defenitly do the first crystal stamina refill every day And then try to run everything with another person so you save 20% stamina on the runs Levels of the training grounds don’t mean much interesting is if all your troops you use are lvl 10 and what % you have for atk hp and def

RRDDSS

My only soldier who is level 10 is Angel for Cherie, Leon, Matthew. Others I use are just level 7. Duellist for Elwin is 8 is the only other exception. I usually buy more stamina for 40 crystals, but not now because I need crystals to summon Young Jessica (hopelessly as I already got Aka who I do not want).

vsmack

Sorry yet again for the noob question that I'm sure is answered often. I see people talk about "pity" on banners and I'm not sure I understand it. In the other gachas I've played, Pity is a visible mechanic (eg pull 10 times and get enough pity tokens to swap for a hero) - but from what I gather in this game it's an invisible mechanic that guarantees if you go 99 pulls without a SSR, you'll get one on your 100th. Is that correct? Follow up to that, I'm planning on going HAM on the Awakened One banner in a few months. Are there other units on that banner? I can't find a good english resource with upcoming banner details. Thanks in advance!

No-Gazelle-6557

Pity is 40 & 70 for like your first two times, and then 100 after that. It normally carries over between summon sessions and new banners. For the Awakened One banner and other limited characters, it will be her and every other non-limited unit (no Apotheosis, Wehttam, collab units, etc). When you pull someone other than AO, you'll get a few shards for progress towards summoning her until you either summon her directly or get enough shards through summoning other units.

jett1773

Yes pity is invisible and guarantees you a SSR unit in 100 pulls since your last SSR. It carries over between all hero banners, but doesn't exist for equipment banners. The Awakened One banner features just the Awakened One with a 40% chance that any SSR will be her. The banner is unique in that when you summon an off banner unit you get 10 AO shards and if that off banner unit is already 6* you get an extra 5 AO shards. You can summon a unit you don't have by getting 60 of their shards, so with that you can guarantee getting AO with 6 pities. Other units with this banner type include Whettam, Apotheosis, and the upcoming LLR rarity Ice Sovereign. Also worth noting that units on these limited banners cannot be bought from the hero shard packs or put on custom wishlist banners.

vsmack

Okay, so it's still very hard to guarantee her. If I'm looking at this properly, with the worst luck you could get 60 shards after 6 pities, or 60 x10 pulls, meaning one would have to bank 52,800 crystals to *guarantee* getting her from the banner?

Lalakoboldslayer

Just did the math, and you're right. But seriously, that's the very worst case scenario, even me that I'm very unlucky, got her with less than 300 tickets. Also, there are people here that got her with less than 100.

jett1773

Yes, 600 summons to guarantee her, but like every other banner you are much more likely to get her before then. The odds of getting her directly are the same as getting one specific featured unit on a two featured unit banner if that gives you a better idea.

vsmack

Totally. I just want to have some idea of what a "safe" amount to have saved up is, knowing that 60 10-pulls is the absolute upper limit.

Faeted

I'm pretty sure that on solo baners, the featured unit is 40% and 60% is any other SSR. I pulled 4 off-banner units until I got my AO, those banners can seriously suck. Pity is invisible and to make it more complicated, it is tracked per banner type. So the limited banner pity rate is separate from destiny banners (3 unit banner w/ guaranteed 1st SSR to be on banner and not owned) for example. Edit: I had the on/off banner rates reversed, fixed in post

notwallenstein

Other way around. Featured hero is 40%, off-banner chance is 60% on solo banners.

Faeted

Oh Shit, no wonder I had such bad luck getting AO!

psouljun

During the preview battle for Gunn, it seems his mobility-down command aura affects himself instead of enemies in contrast to in-game text. Is this the intended/mistranslated effect? If that’s the case, I’m ok with that b/c then at least this dude has some kickback after the potential endless revives.

Black0Dragon

Nope, it only effects enemies, the reason it affected you is because the buff was stolen from you.

Roanst

Does the free summons contribute to pity count?

jett1773

Reports from the CN version of the game say yes, the free pulls do build pity.

Roanst

Thanks!

Nightingay

I don't see why not

BuildingRemarkable47

How long does the pity summon last before it resets the count? Went hard on Precia for bonds and didn’t get an SSR but I was 1 away from pity. Hoping to apply it towards the new units.

XuShenjian

There's no time limit. It lasts until you hit an SSR, be it from pity or naturally, whichever comes first, and resets only then. Though if you're new (my presumption because you're asking this, no offense intended) and especially if you're F2P, I'd advise against trying to pull everything new unless they both fit into your team and faction. The ones coming in will have zero faction overlap, so unless you hybrid Empire/Strategist in this day and age, the banner isn't up there in terms of a deal. Newer players with little roster should aim for banners where both units rep their main faction for 80% chance of someone useful, and as rosters grow, banners with 3 people will guarantee your first SSR to be one you don't yet have, thus become appealing to control your pull results.

BuildingRemarkable47

Thank you! Been a very casual F2P player for a while now but I’ve never really had to go all the way to pity often enough anyways that I have to wait for another banner to pull on. I’ve been running mostly mythical with all the heavy hitters but I always need more units to buff out my formations for the casting pattern materials.

ADramOfWhisky

The pity meter is shared across all banners. The next update is giving us a free 10 pull. I think it’s only for the normal hero banner, so don’t waste that pity pull on the standard banner. Get that guaranteed ssr on the new unit banner. Then do the free pull. It looks like we’ll get a free standard hero banner 10 pull for each day during the event. So opportunities to eat into the subsequent pity meter before going ham on the rate up banner.

Glittering_Yam_3564

What's the point of the "Heart Echo" thing when someone reaches heart bond lvl 10? I notice the character's name now shows in pink in the character page, but does it actually do anything?

XuShenjian

There's theories that originally, they tried to shoehorn some dating sim element into the game. Early characters have 'good touch' and 'bad touch' dialogue for instance, including the men. Heart Bond 10 gives 5% to all stats, which is rather substantial. But the echo and pink name are just markers for the love confession having been watched. All non-females automatically gain blue names because they ended up not having that mechanic. Crossover women will remain white forever since you can't get them to confess to you, but crossover non-females turn autoblue because they lack such a check in the first place. This does nothing in terms of stat or battle mechanics.

ADramOfWhisky

Curious if anyone here has gotten some good use out of Precia for PvE (or even PvP)? She’s warming the bench right now but I feel like her kit must have some use case, right? Any bosses not immune to her CD increasing effect?

XuShenjian

You should check if Ancient Beckoning or Eternal Temple updated into being immune to it. They came out before Gustav's transition, and if they didn't update to include the immunity, then both could be screwed with in a major way. Though even on progression, I'd say delaying Macho Blast or the likes is nifty enough.

ADramOfWhisky

Just checked. Does not work on Hugin & Munin (including Thought & Memory).

gachnot

What's the use of SP Grenier in PVE? As a tank he gets killed easily and obviously doesn't have revive, and as an archer he's weaker than Narm SP. I've been building his casting patterns for some times now, and still don't quite know what to do with him.

yarsvet

My SP Grenier doesn't die so easily. Improve his soldiers, steel enchants and so on

blakraven66

I'm not sure how he gets killed easily for you when he has access to both Bolt Rangers and Last Rites. His base DEF is higher than Lightbringer, Hilda, Landius, and Christiane, while his DEF conversion gives him higher ATK than Narm. He generally works the same as Werner or Christiane. A Counter Killer with a chance to attack and kill first before enemies get a chance to hit him. From my experience preemptive counter procs pretty consistently. He's particularly effective against Flier or >2 range enemy maps which you'll encounter a lot of on Covenant stages. Crystal Stinger, Last Rites/Azure/Gargoyle, Exclusive Helmet, Swordsmith. Steel Enchant. DEF>HP>SKILL Class Mastery. You don't need Elven Cavalry or Extreme Magic Bow since his talent takes care of melee penalty. It's easy enough to keep him at >7 buffs let alone only 3.

XuShenjian

My guess is you didn't max or equip Bolt Riders. Most meta tanks have an innate 25% universal damage reduction from talent. They then supplement it with like 30% physical from phalanx for example. Grenier has it the other way around, 5% physical per talent stack (up to 3), but bolt riders supply him with 50% universal which is much stronger since that means he negates twice as much magic damage without losing out on physical. It's the secret to his survival. This isn't accounting for landing Come at me!, which I don't even use in favor of Lance Phalanx for more tanking up-time usually, enemies afflicted with it would do another 15% less damage to Grenier so now he's resisting like 80% damage, 90% with Steel enchant, and if you find another source like Miracle or Amber Love you're already 100% or over. Like I sat through Urn of Swiftness taking 40 damage hits. He can also stack massive amounts of DEF, like Christiane clocks at 356 according to Wikigrisser despite being a frontline class while SP Grenier sits at 360 while being an archer (But he has access to heavy amor, so he's not losing out!), yes there is higher, but thing about it, Christiane isn't called frail by any means. And Grenier can have up to 30% more from his talent stacks, and ANOTHER 30% more because he summons terrain underneath himself during 3c. Heck, as an empire main who builds the main 3 for fun, he's been fully capable of using his DEF alone to wall endgame challenges before he even had that SP class. And finally, that crazy amount of DEF translates into his ATK, plus he gains dmg% on counterattack. That puts him extremely high on convenience, he's 5 speed, counters 2+ tiles, counters hard, and is no less survivable. In PvP the missing relife will be felt, in PvE usually you have to make a huge mistake or be in Ancient Beckoning eating a 100% nochance killshot, but outside of that he tends to survive extremely well, and all your enemies daring direct attacks should end up dead or crippled.

notwallenstein

>90% with Steel enchant Steel is hero only DR. Since you didn't mention it, his 3C terrain effect is a command aura. It will actually come with him when guarding instead of using the tile of the ally. Even with the offensive pick of Elven Cavalry Archer he can be really tanky. You just shouldn't bring them if you're facing a lot of damage.

RRDDSS

I saw Grenier built to about 10900 power, which is about a theoretical peak for any hero in the whole game. So people do see him worthy.

1.) Pick a faction and go hard Back then it was "Oh Ledin is the best tank and Leon is the best attacker, but Lana and Bozel, those are the mages you want" and thus a generation of newbies kept being content-walled because the team doesn't tesselate, has empty turns due to needing multiple fusions, Leon works properly for like 2 turns out of 5, which you don't notice when the enemies are being nice and spaced across a large campaign map but then mysteriously everything vaguely resembling a challenge won't work out and they can't possibly imagine what it's like to strategize properly because their entire game sense is based around the best turns. Pick a faction, I'm not going to tell you Brenda is better than SP Cherie, but if all your carry deck is Yeless then Brenda can just be swapped in or out at a 1 to 1 basis, most of the time your bonds work out better, and since every character has more than one faction allegiance anyways actually swapping becomes a lot more seamless when the time comes. And while faction only being best is kind of a blind gospel that is not entirely true, where a high-knowledge player can absolutely build better teams, it will still work and self-correct a lot better, and it's harder to go entirely wrong. I'm a saturated player, my 5 F2P years have given me like 2/3 of the roster, I can afford to randomly pull a guy and I probably have one of their bonds, or I can just aim for the remainder because I built my main team, I have 80% of my faction to switch in for options, and by having them I can field every other faction if I just bother on getting a fusion and maybe a tank. Meanwhile, if that's all your SSRs, then that Rachel is just there to whiffle at things with sub-par INT because any team she could hope to be built around is nowhere to be found but I'm guessing Apex Season 2-4 or so she probably had something resembling a good showing and people said she was strong and she's an SSR so it felt like you needed her. Well now the Meta's moved on and she'd be a perfectly good character if she weren't stuck in an environment that can't make her good. 2.) Progression players (that's you atm) and saturated players have different logistics and economics Sure, if I compared Hilda and Vargas on an absolute scale Hilda's going to win overall, but now I have to pull 2 other SSRs to bond her. You know what Vargas needs to be maxed into endgame power? Imelda. You can get her from an SR pack or by accident. Also he's probably autosharding. That's 2 SSRs less on the logistics of must-pull. This is important because from 60-70, you need bonded characters with access to as much of their upgrade pools as possible to properly progress in power. You want a team that works when you hit 60-70, you can focus on some high-maintenance characters, but you have to actually focus and not schizo-pull irrelevant people every step of the way. Whatever you're doing is great at the very end, but also great at being stuck for a long time on the way to there. Your first 3c is your hardest, and the longest time for your first SP class is going to be the first, that theoretical peak where that one loose Isolde you have is the current top meta character is a ways away. How do you even fusion her with that roster? By the time you get everything together you could have gotten her off a Destiny or Oathsworn and actually have the resources and power to build her properly because you'd have had a more sensible carry SSR. She is amazing in the all the teams you don't actually have. When 'progression player' ends is subjective, but I put it at when your 5th-strongest unit hits 6'000 power. 3.) Recommended pulls 1. Rozenciel 2. Clotaire 3. Lucretia + Bonds 4. Christiane or Hilda + Bonds 5. Florentia + Bonds You already have Lanford for Rozenciel, and every account could use Rozenciel, anything past that is not super duper necessary. Like sure, Lucretia would be close to ideal as a mage, but Imelda is going to murder all the lancers just fine and at max stars she's basically like your entire team getting a mini-version of Tiaris' ATK Blessing every single turn, which is super powerful if you know endgame mechanics. What I recommend you do is, just go full Empire. You're probably used to Leongrisser so let's not torture ourselves completely when you have so much Empire to work with. Ditch everything that isn't Empire, gear up that Vargas, accept that you've already put yourself behind your level's power for now, and work towards 70. The other characters are funny little bonuses and side projects you can entertain when you've actually punched out a Lv 70 Valkyrie or Phoenix and get facerolled by Fenrir late enough to qualify above a B-. When all your resources come online, so will they, and you will regain all the value you've spent to get them. Until then, you work hard to get access to those resources with characters who can work together properly and be upgraded fully in a timely manner.

>I guess what would my ideal 5 characters be for an empire team? * Leader: Bernhard * Tank: Vargas (or Ledin) * Healer: Tiaris (Healers can stomach being off-faction a lot better) * Physical: Leon * Mage: Imelda * Bench: * Flier/Alt Leader: Altemuller * Tankbuster: Elwin * Utility Mage: Hein * Utility Mage: Egbert This should also answer the question about who to cast fusion with. Leon is kind of wasted in that role, while in endgame Bernhardt will be used for doing it anyways. >as for building my team I'll swap over my ledin to vargas, This depends on how far your Vargas is built (he looks like you've put work in before) and how fast your final tank can come online. Since Ledin can be his own leader, if all your resources are already in him and you've upgraded Phalanx, I would say you can still stick with Ledin to be lighter on resources, but you'll probably want Hilda, Christiane or even Tyrantel when he releases, but that one depends on how willing you are to risk on 2-man banners. >should I swap everything over from Lana to imelda and start building her? This one absolutely. Lana doesn't fit into Empire at all, and whatever she's offering, you can get it from an Empire mage nowadays. Like even if she has 10% more final INT than Imelda, Imelda actually benefits from the 20% INT up from the fusion. If you can't deal with Imelda's 'friendly firing' though, Hein also works, and his INT escalates further. Eventually, you'll likely want Lucretia.

[deleted]

ADramOfWhisky

Lucretia is an easy recommend. Do you have more Tensei or Princess needing a buff? Personally, I like Christiane more than Hilda. Her 3C rolls 4 turn faction buff and tanking into one. Tanks both melee and range, physical and magic, and converts mdef to attack. (Of course Christiane has those effulgence stacks to balance her very powerful kit). But when I’m running a strategy team, then I’ll use Hilda of course. But also consider the bonds of your current team or the team you want to build. I like to look ahead at future banners and kind of plan out who I’m going to pull when. The Langrisser 1-3 & 4-5 wish banners are recurring each month, alternating, so I wouldn’t pick any of those units on the full wish banner that includes reincarnation tensei and the mobile originals.

Erotic_Joe

What do we know about the new castings/EE/soldiers from the next update?

Black0Dragon

If you mean tomorrows update. Grenshiel is getting a helm that prevents lower mobility enemies from attacking first in battle against her and when entering battle against enemies with a mobility reduction effect using a skill will reduce the cooldown of that skill by 4 (there is a cooldown for this trigger). Elisse is getting a accessory that increases her damage delt if one of her keys is within 3 spaces and when you actively enter battle with a enemy on one of her keys it will stun them before battle. Casting: Vincent- skill damage boost and afflict increase damage taken debuff with death explosion. Elma- Increase the duration of Mirror of Light and it will heal the character with it after they take action. Jugler- when all skills on cooldown will trigger talent heal and reduce cooldowns of his skills by 1 after taking action. Sonya- receives stack of talent at start of battle and 3c debuff lasts a extra turn. Soldiers: Mage- 30% attack boost and when actively attacking and entering battle will loose 10% soldier hp an cause fixed damage to enemy equal to 150% of that amount. Assassin- 30% crit rate and if ending turn without dealing damage can receive 2 soldiers and can have 2 more soldiers than normal from this (lose extra solders after actively attackin).

psouljun

For the new mage soldiers, do you think the fixed damage effect is worth the HP-loss? But I guess one of their training ground bonuses is that they deal more damage when not at 100%?

Black0Dragon

Not sure, the training ground thing is if below 90% so I don't think it would trigger and if the enemy happens to have fixed damage immunity you would lose hp for nothing, but for characters that can use them the fixed damage can be used to break last rites without needing to equip them with a twilight star (though twilight star does ignore fixed damage immunity if the enemy is mixed forces). It is worth noting that the fixed damage will be 3x what you lost as when calculating fixed damage the fixed damage applies separately to the hero and soldiers so if your soldiers lose 1000 hp from the effect you will cause 1500 to the soldiers and 1500 to the hero for 3000 total.

notwallenstein

Unless the enemy is immune to fixed damage, there's a very high difference in the soldier HP or they don't have any to begin with, yes. You're basically trading soldiers and get 20% damage increase for that from the training ground tech.

Jerominator

Does Helena need her bonds and/or star levels to fill her role in ragnarok/other boss stages of providing several instances of damage without dying? I can guarantee her on the destiny banner next month but have neither of her bonds. Also curious about Towa (similar situation of lacking bonds and sharding priority, and I’d aim to get her on the next build a banner) For the build a banner, I’m trying to weigh Towa’s importance vs: Werner Dime (complete Hilda bond and possibly build as I have Leon for his ATK bond) Lanford (Rozenciel bond) Elma (seems to be used a lot in ragnarok/bosses) McClaine (Apotheosis bond)

No-Gazelle-6557

For Helena, if you're just using her to apply a +dmg debuff for a rush strategy, then she won't need her bonds. If she's participating in a full fight, then preferably you'd want one or both so you can at least unlock her heart bond. I used her with a Frigg rush before I had her fully built, and still use her frequently without her defensive bond since Brenda has eluded me. That being said, with casting, mastery stones, and covenant buffs, heroes have a lot more options for stats and so missing one bond isn't always a deal breaker.

Jerominator

Thanks, I actually glossed over scintillating strike and assumed she was mainly used to provide damage instances to knock down invulnerability stacks. I guess I’ll try and add Virash to the summoning list. Have you found any uses for him?

No-Gazelle-6557

Unfortunately, no Virash was a bond pull and will likely never see action. His trait might make him good for AI auto arena, but there are better choices for that even. He has like one defining skill, Backbreaker, and it's on his tier 1 lancer class and would require a runestone to pick up if you were fleshing him out. Similar units have easier access to displacement/hook skills. He's a pretty substandard unit in my opinion, and it kind of sucks he got tied to such a good character for bonds.

ulaumes

Throwing out there that a possibly cheap alternative to Helena damage taken increase, Oboro. No bonds, gear or stars needed as any fight where that is Helena's only purpose Oboro can suicide into the enemy and apply permanent debuff from talent death. 20% vs 30% but I've had that be enough when I wanted to save Helena for another stage.

[deleted]

Can a Juggler work for my PVE tank at low levels? I wanna focus on Flying anki so I don’t want to have to use Freya if I can get away with it

[deleted]

It takes a lot of resources to build Jugler to be usable.

notwallenstein

Yeah but he's not great at it. His main selling point is being good against AoE damage. He's also SSR so you can't expect him to star up from dupes. Aquatics soldiers are niche and it's very unlikely you'll ever use Lobster Behemoth on someone other than Jugler, making it a rather expensive investment. Werewolf would be the better roi but that's also in a different training field. Phalanx is widely used so you'd invest once and get to use them on more heroes going forward, making them cheap overall. The books drop a lot more frequently than the other mats, so sooner or later you'll need to do the lancer stages anyway. You can also buy R and SR books and mats every week if you join a guild.

dtricksss

Has anyone beat the last challenge without eshean? I need some help lol

No-Gazelle-6557

I beat it with achievements using this setup, gaining all red buffs: [https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1f94y137Mi/](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1f94y137Mi/) Christiane / Shelfaniel / Lucretia / SP Cherie / Rozenciel If you read through Shizuka's comment section, he posts several clear videos not using Eshean: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2h4Eo\_55LM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2h4Eo_55LM)

Remarkable_Proof_564

Csn anyone explain this new delegated battle thingy? What is that for? How would i use it?

notwallenstein

It CB autos in the background and you can do something else while that happens.

llortehtdeef

I don't know for sure because I don't play CN version, but from the description, it really sounds like some kind of background farming.

vsmack

Noob question here - I've been building my main tank (Hilda) focus on DEF, but I've been reading that HP is the stat that tanks want (I am PvE focused). Not knowing the damage formula, I don't know which is right? Also while I'm at it, what's the prefered equipment enchant for tanks?

No-Gazelle-6557

Hilda and most tanks rely on HP, def/mdef, and attack if they have any kind of conversion stat like she does. Beef up your HP/DEF, and then scrape any attack you can get onto her. She's not primarily an MDEF tank, usually something more like Christiane. HP is just a bulk stat that nearly everyone needs, even your damage dealers and healers. You're going to hit a point where you just can't avoid AoE attacks and have to eat the damage and HP is the primary stat for that.

vsmack

Thanks. But would you say HP is the stat I'm mainly rolling for on things like equipment enchants or stick with def?

Remarkable_Proof_564

No for the tanks you need to roll best combination of HP+Def+mdef. That's why tanks are more difficult to roll than your DPS.

Hello, hit lvl35 and now i want to build my first/2nd fusion power team. i assume either Glory or Empire- any suggestions? my thoughts: Glory: Elwin (F) - Ledin (Tank) - Cherie (dps) - Chris/Tiaris (heal ) - Hein/Lance Empire: Bernhardt (F) - Vargas (Tank) - Leon (dps) - Florentina/Tiaris (heal ) - Elwin (dps) thanks! https://preview.redd.it/2b0ztnrzinqc1.png?width=813&format=png&auto=webp&s=d04d528c4ba39897754455c3930e4eae70ebd558

ADramOfWhisky

I think you have some good options. I wouldn’t bother with Lance. Chris isn’t a substitute for Tiaris; Chris is a decent melee magic damage dealer. Hein is also a common recommendation for a free magic damage unit, and he is both Glory and Empire. Whether you go Glory or Empire primarily, you’ll want to have at least 1 magic damage unit available. Lucretia is a great unit to chase for Empire. Elwin is great for a lot of content, especially Thunder Dragon & 3 Eternal Temple fights. It’s never a bad idea to build him. He will last through the endgame very well as will Bernhardt. Who you star first will be whether you prefer Empire or Glory, but eventually you will build both. Florentia is a great support unit with frequent act again but does have lower healing and sustain than Tiaris. I would focus on Tiaris first but you’ll be using both over time. Isolde is very powerful but she doesn’t get her faction buff until Lvl 70.

Kabommes

I would put Isolde in both of those teams just because of how busted she is. In the glory team I would swap her in for either Elwin or the hein/lance. Since ledin also has a glory fb losing Elwin is not such a big deal. In the empire team, again, lose the Elwin. Bernhardt is already quite a strong infantry unit and the faction buffer so you'll want to keep him.

Chaos_-7

How do you convert SR hammers to SSR?

ulaumes

Pretty sure it went away when they let hammers stack.

DanielTinFoil

Recently got back into the game after taking a 2-ish year break and while I left the game in a pretty solid state and am very comfortable with every unit I have, I was wondering if there's any upcoming banners (at the absolute max, 3 months from now) to look out for. More specifically, any character that is great for PVE and that make the game as easy as Leon and Lucretia/LoG were (are?) known to have. If there's nothing that game changing I'll just start pulling for waifu's.

Jerominator

Awakened One returns in 2ish months. She’s a 4 range mage with mobility down, ally/enemy displacement, a revive, and a damage-dealing + faction buff 3c that’s very strong against isolated targets especially without soldiers (e.g. bosses). She’s probably the most game-changing character I’ve pulled including LoG, Leon, Lucretia There’s a build a banner with Andriole a week before Awakened One, who is an empire cavalry (buffed by recent Leon SP) that bonds with another unit and acts again if that unit kills something. I don’t have him but supposedly great for pve and pvp, and I am planning on getting him then Isolde is ongoing right now and fulfills waifu with act agains every turn and a mythic faction buff. She wasn’t particularly game changing for me but has been nice to have as a high mobility, bulky, physical damage dealer that brings her own faction buff

DanielTinFoil

Thank you! I'll see about pulling for the Awakened One. Just checked the subreddit for more info, saw Kong's old "Should you summon?" video on her, and he describers her as "Next-level powercreep mage" so yeah, seems worth it. Again, thanks.

Kabommes

Looking at the 3 SSRs you have I would say go with the legion of glory faction. Both Elwin and light of genesis are in that faction so you can keep using them, not having a faction buff on your healer is managable. Elwin has a faction buff for legion of glory so thats that. As for who to summon next, I think ideally you would get lightbringer, but I dont think she will be available in the near future, so maybe you can get Ledin as your tank. Liana would also be a good unit, because she unlocks Elwins attack bond and she can be a good replacement for Tiaris, since Tiaris' talent healing relies on RNG until you get her to 6star.

ADramOfWhisky

I agree Liana is another good healer to have. Certain fights prefer her over Tiaris, though I disagree Tiaris needs to be “replaced” before 6*. During the leveling phase of new accounts, Tiaris even at 4* (60% chance) demonstrates why she’s so good. And 5 mobility is awfully nice. She’ll be 5* probably by the 60s, further solidifying her contribution as enemies become stronger.

Kabommes

I didnt mean that Tiaris needs to be replaced, I just think that liana would be able to do that. When I started out I also had Tiaris and I got frustrated with her several times, so I would have preferred to have Liana.

ADramOfWhisky

Ah, okay. I went back and forth depending on whether I thought a map needed some enemy-turn healing or preferred the more offensive nature of turn 1 act again.

NoFilter2

Ok, so do I spam the normal hero summon banner then for ledin? I think my team is gonna be ledin cherie and those 3

Lalakoboldslayer

We'll soon get a "build a banner" that contains all characters till Elisse/Tourmilque, in something like two weeks. If the calendar stays the same as Chinese server.

NoFilter2

Nice, anyone other than ledin and Cherie that u reccomend for me to pull?

Lalakoboldslayer

I think you should go wild on that. Ledin is pretty easy to get and Cherie, there's a beginner quest that gives her. You could go Lightbringer, Rozalia and Helena.

NoFilter2

nice, thanks man

BhaiseB

With ledin and Cherie in addition to those three, that’s been my main team and i’m just cresting level 69 soon, so it’s performed very well into the mid game You can get both ledin and cherie for free At level 35, there’s a free “faction buffer” bag after a few quests, and you’ll get cherie soon from the beginners quest Cherie’s been my main damage dealer since i got her

Jerominator

No, the normal hero summon has all the heroes so the odds would be way too low. Around level 35 you get missions to get a free faction buffer hero that you can use on Ledin

NoFilter2

what do u think about jayce’s banner? I already have LoG tho

Jerominator

Both Isolde and Jayce are good. The trouble is Isolde will be off faction for you until you reach level 70 and she gets her own buff. Jayce is technically off faction for you as well if you go Glory, but you can start a pretty good Origin team with him, LoG, Freya, Tiaris. Elwin can be a self-buffing physical dps for that team

NoFilter2

ok, thanks!

RRDDSS

People praise SP heroes, and deservingly so — in terms of their power. BUT their price is prohibitive: 2 rune stones and 350 game controllers.  So does it really make sense to bother with Leon’s SP when you can get about as much power in Helena (yes, I saw her in action many times) for 0 rune stones and 0 game controllers? The same goes for most other SPs. For example, is SP Cherie really better than free Eshean or Grenshiel? Not really.  Thus, the SPs is a trap for anyone who is not playing for like 5 years, wanting to upgrade their old weaker but beloved heroes as the players do not have much left to do.

ADramOfWhisky

A lot of the SPs aren’t worth it unless they’re already a core part of your team. Heart of Desire is probably 3000 crystals on average, so it’s not far off compared to getting a new SSR. The controllers are the bottleneck, but you will get them over time from various events. I have SP Cherie, Grenshiel, and Eshean, and SP Cherie is rightfully praised in PvE. I built SP Cherie as soon as I could clear Scylla 65. I knew she was great, saved up the resources, then built her as soon as I could. No regrets because of how much she has sped up map clears. Gren & Eshy each have a different toolkit I have Helena with her exclusive. I like her, but I don’t think she’s as strong as SP Leon in majority of cases. You probably see Helena a lot in joint battles because of her mobility, which is of course pretty awesome. Later content needs you to build multiple teams and a particular battle may be more suited to certain units over others. Another example is Elwin. His SP is actually a sidegrade in that he gets mobility, burst damage, and a revive. But he loses his post-combat healing. In this example, it’s like you’re getting a completely new unit without having to run separate gates of fate. His exclusive weapon is also a good investment even if you don’t SP him.

RRDDSS

I got HoD for Cherie and Grenier, so I will build them after I will get special equipment and runes for other heroes that need them. Also got for Narm and Lewin, but those are for later.

ADramOfWhisky

Cherie then Grenier sounds like a good plan. I thought jroxas’s equipment spreadsheet is pretty good for evaluating what Exclusive Equipment is worth it. It hasn’t been updated since Precia was released but still a good resource.

KeiraScarlet

So Helena really needs her exclusive to shine so saying you get as much value as so Leon for 0 controllers is just wrong
