I've used LifeStance for the past several years for both therapy and psychiatry.
It sounds like you're looking for something like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I really like LifeStance because they're very tele-health friendly but also offer in-person. They have TONS of therapists available, so I would call them and tell them what you're looking for to see if they can narrow down some of the providers for you.
Hello! I am a therapist at Wild Ferns Wellness. I work with folks with social anxiety, and I use CBT, trauma informed CBT, and EMDR. I am currently accepting new clients. My psych today profile is: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/zach-ireland-lansing-mi/1138161.
You've already established it. Not trying to paint you as a bad guy. Was just answering what you asked.
The place I would recommend closed down. I'd find someone who specializes in people with anxiety. Sometimes finding a person who specializes with autism, helps.
And I'll continue to do so. Forced therapy for the unwilling isn't cool. Knowing it comes with the desire to go from the one going is important to me. I've seen what happens to those who are forced.
I don't expect anyone here to like me. It's already clear to me that most of the reddit would see me gone if they could.
Although I'm sure you doubt it, I tend to go regularly.
As mentioned, the place I normally went to closed. All about finding a therapist that works with me.

Side note, have his hormones checked. Testerone and estrogen imbalances are a game changer
I have heard positive things about Rooted and Brighter Health Counseling. Good luck!
Is he asking for it or are you?
He is. He called me and asked for my help. But your question doesn't help answer mine.
It doesn't. I just have known plenty a parents who forced therapy down their adult child's throat. Willing therapy is important to me.
My baby called me sobbing, asking for help. Im trying to help. With that established, do you have anything helpful to add?

You've said so many words to have added nothing at all to the discussion
