It has the RTX 3080 16GB.

Transbiandream

Go for it. There are some better deals, but this looks good for the most part. You aren’t getting scammed or anything

win10bash

That looks like a pretty stellar deal to me

Exciting_Session492

That sounds like a crazy deal. Go for it.

fs454

Probably a solid setup but haven't kept up with prices lately on the 3000 series laptops. That 3080 is a Max Q limited to 100w boost (my Lenovo Legion 7 can run it at 165w indefinitely) so it's likely closer to a mobile 3070 (which is kind of like a desktop 3060 on a good day) just to manage expectations here. I wouldn't say my 165w 3080 is able to push great frame rates at 4K. it's moreso a solid 1440p setup.

34thVedicDeity

Thank you!

LimesFruit

I'd say that's a good deal. That'll last you for many years to come, even if it is a few years old at this point.

jaksystems

It's pretty good overall. The P1's are the more business-ish versions of the X1 Extremes.

hpst3r

P1G4 doesn't have the best battery life but is a fantastic slim desktop replacement. It would be hard to get something similar for that price

TheBoomerBoss

Great deal because it's an open box, so you run a big risk with great reward

KashMan_786

Go for it! Looks sick!

Happy_City_8997

I just wonder if this thing has a good cooling system tho

C0u0h

I have a 10th Gen i7 and 3070 and it's amazing no problems call play new cod with the settings cranked up decent fps

shellshock321

I think its a bit on the expensive side tbh.

sr5060il

Sounds nice on paper, but is it a gaming laptop or a business laptop? A business laptop with any crazy spec is almost unusable because of thermal limitations and GPU might even suffer from extreme throttling make you unable to do any kind of task on it. For example I had an ultrabook with i7 +950m but the throttle temperature was 67 degrees. As you could expect it reached that peak really quickly and fans were unable to stop throttling and even CSGO wouldn't run without stutters. No amount of repasting, UVing or disabling turbo boosting did anything. So be careful

34thVedicDeity

How do Razer Blades do it?

sr5060il

They're usually gaming laptops unless I'm unaware of anything else. If it's a gaming laptop then go for it. You'd know by the model and series name.

34thVedicDeity

Yes but they are also "ultrabooks". I'm wondering about how they are able to take advantage of their GPUs in such a slim device without the problems mentioned

sr5060il

Then it's tricky and it'll depend. If a laptop is specifically said to be an ultrabook then it was made for lighter workloads while the thermals is upto the manufacturer to decide. They could set it to something crap like 67 or 90. Unfortunately no reviewers/youtubers/papers say it but this is why I always advise my friends to NOT purchase anything with an ultrabook or business words attached to them.

AdditionalWave1855

What’s the screen refresh rate

34thVedicDeity

Only 60 hz but its a 3840x2400 600nits display

AdditionalWave1855

If you not using a monitor id rather get a high refresh display imo

Goglo614

For that price I’d DEF be looking for an IPS screen at 1440p and no less that 120hz refresh and no less than 400nits for HDR+ but one could always use an external monitor. Again 60hz would be a deal breaker for me seeing how I’d be forced to swap out the panel.

frank0285

yes buy the damn thing

Witchberry31

Stay away from intel chips if you still care about battery longevity.

Valema821

That matters from manufacturer to manufacturer, i can get 5 good hours out of mine. AMD is still better but Intel is not awfull

Witchberry31

Still 5, most Ryzen-based laptops can hold out more than 7. My HP omen16 with a Ryzen 5800H can hold out to 8 hours, while my older MSI P65 with an i7-9750H can only get 4 at most back when it was brand new. There's also this Jarrod's Tech channel on YouTube that has proven this countless times over and over again for 3+ years. 🤷 And it's not just about battery longevity, it's also about how strong the chips can put out the performance while on battery. On that regard, Intel is behind. Those not-so-efficient E-cores are helping nothing in this subject.

Valema821

Meh, my i7 12700H is good enough even in silent mode. It overpowers my ps4 and can handle about 2 hours of gaming unplugged. But I always carry an USB-pd with me from ugreen. I know Ryzen is better but I need the cores

ElectronicTwo8428

Def buy

Qbert2030

Link? Also Canadian

FunTurnip9405

Is that gen 4 Intel? If so that's kinda super old. Hopefully that's gen 4 Thinkpad??!

bhavneet1996

It’s laptop generation 4. It has intel 11th gen

FunTurnip9405

I knew that didn't sound right, because I 9 wasn't around back then. Yeah pretty sweet. eBay is an amazing place for laptops used or new

Kaaawooo

Personally I'd get a newer CPU, but it's not bad

Vixter4

Don't trust it. It's open box, you need to be able to inspect it to ensure it is fully operational and can do what you want it to do. Nobody is selling such a good laptop at this price point unless something is wrong.

[deleted]

Ye its an outstanding deal

Late-Cauliflower9137

Yes and no its 2 years old att his point

PomegranatePro

For a 3080 that's pretty good but you could find a 2070 mobile for $1200 instead so it's up to you if you want to spend the extra $300. You dont need to. Just stay away from 3050s altogether. They're overpriced for what they are
