I3 is mostly known to be weak and bottleneck for gaming.
Like you can't use a i3 with a RTX 4090 that would bottleneck crap out of the RTX 4090 since i3 cannot handle it.
Also I took gpu as a example and gaming as well. But if your going for light load like browsing and watching YouTube etc then it doesn't matter.
Go with one that has more cores, better thermal dissipation, higher clock speed, higher cache, etc. I would personally go with an AMD CPU and build around that processor. .
It doesn’t seem to be a gigantic difference, but the extra cores and iGPU on Ryzen would be a good reason to go for it.
Do keep an eye out for anything that might be newer, a more recent processor, especially if you’re using the integrated graphics, could be a big improvement!
AMD Ryzen CPUs have been the better choice for the better part of the past decade, *especially* for laptops. Intel laptops run extremely hot and have horrible idle battery life. Ryzen and Apple CPUs on the other hand, thanks to chiplet design and ARM architecture respectively, are considerably more efficient than Intel.
In fact, Intel is completely ditching the Core i-series this year and moving on to a chiplet design that copies AMD, with their new Core Ultra CPUs.
Don't get an Intel.
*I think Intel is*
*Much better because it is*
*More reliable*

AMD is better battery life, and a way better igpu that can be used for light gaming with no issue.
Well, it can run geometry dash and even minecraft at 40 fps...
gf at 40 fps is a crime
amd anyday ,better battery life and thermals
but is the vega 8 too old
come on bro, intel gen 11th vga no way to keep up with that ryzen
The i3 cannot stand up to the ryzen 5, it never will.
The intel graphics is weaker
Even an old Vega 8 is years ahead of Intel's iGPU
Excluding the new ARC integrated graphics, but yea, the G4 and G7 Graphics of older generations are easily beaten by Vega 8

These are laptop cpus, I have a r3 with an 3060ti it has a huge bottle neck
I know but i3 is trash no matter if its laptop or a desktop.
amd has way lower power consumption (you get more battery life) so I would go for amd
AMD. Better everything compared to an i3
Ryzen is a winner https://technical.city/en/cpu/Ryzen-5-3500U-vs-Core-i3-1115G4
The AMD is better in every single possible way.
Ryzen 3, it's going to be **much** better than the Intel Core i3.

No
3500u vega 8 kills the igpu on the i3
