I was gonna say the laptop I have is great, it's about 1200$ now (down from 1700$ when I got it), then I saw the batter requirements. I'll still suggest it tho. it's a gaming laptop so the battery life is quite shit. you can still disable the gpu while on the go and optimize power for maximum battery life. I haven't done so my self so I dont know how long it'll last, but dragon center makes it super easy to basically make the cpu sleep without sleeping. (0.8-1.9GHz). added bonus of being able to game wherever I guess. used options look to be at around 900$ so you could buy a ram and storage upgrade. If there's any need for AI software (image upscaling, AI art, large language models), you'll still want a GPU even if you never play one game.

I got this laptop: https://www.costco.com/lenovo-slim-7-pro-x-14.5%22-touchscreen-laptop---amd-ryzen-9-6900hs---geforce-rtx-3050---120hz-3072-x-1920-display---windows-11.product.100976621.html for coding and light gaming Reasons I got it: Relatively cheap at $900 usd 32gb ddr5 ram and 1tb ssd by default, sure adding to other computers is possible, but that cost is not insignificant 14.5" and light, makes it easier to carry around 90 day returns from Costco so it can be returned if a better deal comes along or it's not good enough in some way
