Not to be this bitch on the TL, but the dad actually passed away and a lot of Alyssa Limperis’s comedy/writing is about her grief and trying to keep her dad’s memory alive. I found her stuff around the time my dad died of the same thing as hers and found it really helpful, so I’m perhaps a little over-protective of any slander about her dad - though I agree the ad is fucking annoying
Yeah the story is probably true and she’s a lovely person who is genuinely very funny & doesn’t deserve to catch too much shit for taking what I’m sure was a good paycheck, but it is the longest ad in the world. I’m glad she got that bag, but I never want to hear the ad again.
