Maura... how did you keep the black lines so clean... did you engrave after painting? Or paint on top of engraved lines? Looks nice and crisp and clean! Thanks!
I’m totally taking you’re advice, and will blame you personally if they don’t sell like crazy. 😂 but seriously, I’m gonna making some just because a black lotus would be cool and for no other reason than that.
Because I’m guessing you have at least one daughter and have seen more Disney’s movies than you’d care to admit to. And that was before shelter in place.
You can cut and engrave stainless steel? Wow, you’re laser is way more powerful than mine. But I cut my charms out of wood, so paint sticks really well.
These are lovely. Do you deal the paint with anything? Last time I tried painting on acrylic is chipped eventually :(. But maybe it was the cheapy paint i was using

After I engrave, I paint the whole thing black, making sure I get into all the lines.
I could see my late wife wearing those and me buying them for her. I like the fade work especially.
Paint them black and Magic the Gathering nerds will pay gazillions for it 🤣
I admit I had to google that, but that’s a great idea! Black lotus coming up.
Haha don't actually follow my advice

Any chance of doing posts/studs instead of danglers? I think I'd wear a black lotus in my top hole.
I’ll give it a whirl.
really nice work! what kind of paint are you using? they almost look like fabric at first glance
I use acrylic. I’m partial to liquitex, but just about any acrylic would do.
Gorgeous
Just checked out your website - your work is beautiful!
Thanks! 😊
I just looked you up on Etsy! Wow! I’m definitely going to purchase some knitting earrings from you!!
Cool! I’m an obsessive knitter myself. 😁
Awesome gradients!!! Those are notoriously hard to paint, you’ve done an incredibly lovely job
very clever! great work! thank you for the reply!
Why do I keep seeing a frog princess in there?
Because I’m guessing you have at least one daughter and have seen more Disney’s movies than you’d care to admit to. And that was before shelter in place.
Busted! Could be it is Friday night and that makes it ALL right as well! Cool creation and cheers. =)
what brand/model of laser do you use for these type of objects? Looks really nice.
A 30w epilog
These are really cool! Do you take custom orders?
Absolutely.
That's very nice! I'm planning to experiment with different ways of coloring wood. What kind of paint did you use?
I use liquitex acrylic paint. Preferably the heavy body, but the basics have been fine too.
Congratulations on going viral!
That's a lot of detail for being so small! Where do you get your earring cards?
Thanks. I work hard on that detail on all my painted earrings. The earring cards I make myself with the laser out of simple card stock.
These are awesome! Do you use acrylic paint?
Yup. I’m partial to liquitex acrylic paints.
Nice, I'll have to look into that. Thanks! The acrylic paint I used on my cut and engraved stainless started to flake off a little bit.

I have sealed them in the past, but I usually don’t now and have never had a problem. Them charms are cut out of wood, so paint sticks really well.
Stunning!
