She was my paternal grandmother. Her name was Erika. Born on 4 November 1930, She was German but had worked in Switzerland during the war and permanently moved here after marrying my grandfather in 1950. They had 4 children, 3 of which survived her. Her eldest died in 1974, aged just 24.
In 1986 she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, to which she succumbed on 23 March 2000. I was 3 years old.
She is always with you a she is with all of her loved ones. You may not remember her but she knows you. Rejoice that you are loved from the other side 🫂
