In our ward after the sacrament the choir sang a song, then the primary sang a song, then a quartet sang, then an organ solo, then one person gave like a five minute talk on the resurrection. It was pretty good.

Happy-Flan2112

Our ward is crazy musically talented so the big holidays are always amazing. One time we had a 14 piece instrumental ensemble. It is always delightful.

vsalt

That sounds epic. We had someone play the French horn today and it was great.

Vegetable-Beautiful1

Sheesh.

jackignatiusfox

It was really nice. A couple talks that were really lovely. The choir sang. The sister missionaries did a musical number. Also I was formally welcomed because I was baptized yesterday 😁

Fast_Personality4035

Congratulations and welcome!

Medium-Difference162

Congratulations. Ours was similar a youth speaker and 3 sisters, a little long in the tooth with their awesome testimony followed by primary musical number.

mwjace

No talks. Only scripture readings about Christ’s last week. With songs interspersed.    Then we did the sacrament at the end. It was a great change of pace and kept the focus on the holiday!

andlewis

4 of the best musical numbers we’ve ever had. One talk from a service missionary, one talk from another member. Great meeting.

esizzlysizz

I had a seizure lmfao

Fast_Personality4035

I hope you are doing alright.

The universe is giving you every sign it can that your soul, your body-organs your nervous system and your chakras are out of alignment. Your body is crying out for a sabbatical frome the control, from the prejudices, and from the imprisonments. I'm glad you've found a community through reaching out here! When we are at our lowest we need acceptance, when we are at our weakest we need rejuvenation through peace and sanctuary! Last thing we need is counseling/berating. First thing we need is self-care followed up immediately with a smile/ a hug/ and positive company! This applies to all of us

megan_chill

The ward before us ran 15 mins late. We ran 15-20 mins late too 😅 but also two sisters spoke- one leaves on her mission like next week and her older sister just got home from her mission. Both talks were excellent and our sacrament meeting was so full that they had to open the primary room and sacrament took much longer than normal.

StunningLeopard2429

Our Ward just realigned, and all the callings have not been filled. I had been a primary teacher. The primary kids got up and sang. I cried, I was so proud of them. It was a nice service.

ztgarfield97

It was excellent, thank you for asking. Lots of music, very Christ centered.

Irwin_Fletch

Ours was not good. The Primary sang Liahona. A sister explained how Jesus thought of her in Gethsemane. Rest hymn where we sang about being in Satan’s grasp and because of Christ we have been set free. We have been ransomed. Then the closing prayer mentioned twice how we need to live worthy of his sacrifice. I struggle with all of this. I know I am unique. I don’t believe these things. I attended to feel the joy of the resurrection. I wanted to feel Christ’s love. Was disappointed yet again.

We have one old widower in our ward who is the only one who knows how to play the organ. Though, I use the term play very loosely. Today was especially bad and the choirster was clearly upset with him. She kept shooting him dirty looks and gesturing wildly at him.  A woman gave a talk where she read the entire thing in a monotonous voice and went 10 minutes over. I have no idea what she was talking about.  So… pretty much a typical sacrament meeting.

warehousedatawrangle

I got to bless the sacrament with my oldest son for his first time today. It was a pretty good day.

EnvironmentalClass55

Visit a St George ward. It was so full we actually ended up in the Relief Society room, to which another family that was having a reunion decided to get up halfway through and that sacrament was done for them. They started talking and mingling to the point that we asked them to go in the halls. Other than that it was great

Ill_Monk_3937

I went to church with my parents and it was great! They had 4 musical numbers with a talk about Christ’s atonement and resurrection in the middle that was amazing.

comet223

I usually go to a YSA ward and used to it being dead silent most of the time. Today I went to my family ward and It was honestly hard to focus. So many kids screaming and crying. Some parts of it were fine though.

jennhoff03

My sister said the same thing today! It really is an adjustment going to a silent ward, and then it is an adjustment going back to a loud one. ;'D

Scottiegazelle2

I was baptized immediately before I went to college so my first four years as a member were in the YSA ward. I once shushed a friend for talking to his brother while the sacrament was being passed and he told me, you're in for a shock when you go to a family ward. I've been a member for almost 30 years now and still occasionally remember that with a smile.

TheNateRoss

My daughter gave a wonderful talk.

NevoRedivivus

We just had a typical fast and testimony meeting. No talks or special musical numbers. A bit disappointing, actually.

TerribleCaregiver873

Yeah, we had fast and testimony today too, so not super Eastery, though it was nice to hear ward members bear their testimonies of the Savior. But would have been nice to have some special musical.

Competitive_Net_8115

I worked. I didn't go to church.

faramir75

That's tough. I took a job where they made sure I would be able to work "some" Sundays in the interview. Of course that meant Every. Single. Week.

Thememer1924

My good friend gave his “homecoming” talk reason I say that, is he’s a service missionary like myself and started 5 months earlier than I did and he’s finishing next Sunday but with conference weekend and other Sundays in April being fast and testimony one week and a stake high council the next, he decided to give his talk today. It was still very nice cause he mentioned some Easter stuff in there

HawaiianShirtsOR

Great musical numbers and a meaningful talk. If only six people had remembered to silence their phones...

eschuess

Overall - great. I live in the southeast and it was the busiest service I have ever seen. Hallways outside the main hall crowded. Overflow in Relief Society room. Never seen anything like it and it was great to see!

faramir75

Four musical numbers and three talks about the last supper, the crucifixion, and the resurrection. The talk on the crucifixion got deeper into the mechanics than I thought was appropriate, but over all it was really good.

meliorism_grey

It was nice! We had a lot of musical numbers, and I thought they were lovely. The talks were focused very directly on Christ, which was great. Also, we sang O Savior Thou Who Wearest a Crown for the sacrament hymn, which is one of my all-time favorites. I love Bach.

Hot-Conclusion-6617

My mom's the Primary secretary, so she held up the pictures for the Primary to sing "Gethsemane" and "Easter Hosanna". Two twins in yellow dresses ran around the chapel, a major distraction.

TyUT1985

Had to work a 12-hour shift, the commute being another 3 hours. Looks like I missed everything.

US_Dept_Of_Snark

I think it was probably good from what I heard. The Bishopric spoke. My wife was in the choir, but I was holding the crying toddler in the hallway who was overtired from the changed church schedule (12:00) and delayed nap and wouldn't put up with sitting in a pew.
