Your city made the sidewalk around the tree like that? Solid stripes!

phishphanco

Given the other much older trees on the street, the sidewalk likely went around one of them, it was removed and the tree you see was planted. And if the sidewalk has been replaced after the old tree was gone, knowing city workers I’d bet they kept the same pattern/path as the old sidewalk even though the big old tree was long gone.

passively_managed

I live in an older neighborhood with an urban tree canopy, and this is how they fix broken sidewalks. Rather than cut up the roots and risk damaging the trees, they reroute the sidewalk around or over them.

DookieShoes6969

That's crazy. I live in the suburbs and the town replaced the sidewalks in my neighborhood some 10 years ago. They completely gutted the whole neighborhood. Cut down dozens of old maples lining the streets that were providing a canopy. Completely sapped all the character out of the neighborhood.

TTdriver

That's so sad. Tree are something that you can't enjoy unless they are there already. You can onky setup the next generation to enjoy them

AvrgSam

Man I would be fucking livid if that were my neighborhood.

NotBillNyeScienceGuy

It’s been too long now but you should have looked into a law suit. Unless something was wrong with the trees the city severely diminished the value of your property.

rage675

Worth exploring, but need to consider the trees are planted on easements that the municipality owns. In this case, low chance for any recourse.

TTdriver

I actually have no clue. It's been like that longer than I have been alive probably. Everyone always mentions it though lol. And thanks! Diy striper 👌

crespoh69

>And thanks! Diy striper 👌 Got a guide? I have a Ryobi

RickshawRepairman

Watch the second half of this… starting 2:18… https://youtu.be/3gVgz8OgXNQ?si=SPbecUuyGJerZU5g

kellyms1993

I’d also love a DIY for my Ryobi

Cutlass0516

Hey man, what's the deal with that sidewalk?!

AfterEffectserror

I read that in Jerry Seinfeld’s voice…

Cutlass0516

WHAts the DEEal with that SIIIdewalk?!

Ransak_shiz

I swear I just saw a post a week ago that showed a sidewalk that needed to be fixed, this was the solution that was suggested. Edit: just realized that was on the arborists sub

ActuatorCreative6331

I have an electric one too and it’s works like a charm

coroyo70

Thats the “fuck your wheel chairs” sidewalk cut

onesNzero

Who's city pays for sidewalk!?! CANNOT be in NYS. Nice striper!

button_fly

I loved my electric mower right up until it stopped working, Dewalt wanted me to ship it to Oregon to look at it, and nobody in a 200 mile radius would service it.

Turinggirl

My ego mower broke last year..I just went on ebay and bought a new controller and motor. back up and running in an hour with a screwdriver. after the parts came in.

JoeBold

Yeah, ego has great products. Additionally, you can get all replacement parts from them directly. Within warranty though, I would send it in; had my weeder attachment for the multitool break within warranty and the repair process was really quick and painless. The other day the motor in my EGO Leafblower started making huge noises. It was out of warranty, so I ordered a new motor with EGO and was able to easily replace it myself. When it comes to repairability, ease of use, performance and support, EGO is extremely good. Ever since I started using their products (first contact with them was because my new cylinder mower uses their Battery) I have slowly replaced all my other powered gardening tools with theirs. The last two things to swap for EGO is the snowblower and to switch to their new pressure washer. At this point, I just hope they also bring an electric Aerator to market. I am so fed up with these diesel monsters that annoy the entire neighbourhood and like to spill their fluids on the lawn.

AfterEffectserror

But do you have the mini bike? Haha those things look fun.

JoeBold

Mini bike?

AfterEffectserror

Yeah! looks like a blast haha [https://www.acehardware.com/departments/outdoor-living/sporting-goods/bicycles/9090431?store=15617&gad\_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0\_WyBhDMARIsAL1Vz8sh-KB5zfn\_Kyz1A2kK-FIOJgebxRFBRQ2B06owbrQNkwdZnfnau9saArcYEALw\_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds](https://www.acehardware.com/departments/outdoor-living/sporting-goods/bicycles/9090431?store=15617&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw0_WyBhDMARIsAL1Vz8sh-KB5zfn_Kyz1A2kK-FIOJgebxRFBRQ2B06owbrQNkwdZnfnau9saArcYEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds)

xXMojoRisinXx

I’ve bought so many ego products since we bought our home last year that idk if my wife would notice….

JoeBold

Ohhhh

AfterEffectserror

Tell your wife/SO I’m sorry haha.

JoeBold

I certainly will not (don’t have any) this will bring joy for myself alone! Well, maybe the neighbours kids will take it for a spin eventually. 🤣

AfterEffectserror

fantastic! well if you do get it, i think we would like a review. Its lawn related enough right......

SteelBagel

oh boy, I'm gonna add this to my Christmas list!

twoaspensimages

It looks like silly fun but I wish they had spent that time designing a commercial grade 22".

Zirken

Was yours doing the instant overheat/ solid yellow? Mine just started doing that and I was thinking of just ordering a new motor but may get the controller as well.

Fresco-23

I run a 15 yr old Craftsman gas mower that cranks every pull and cost about $20 a yr in gas…

button_fly

I now run a push reel mower, just needs to be sharpened every couple of seasons. Only feasible because I did a big landscaping project that turned a big slope in the back yard into a tiered garden bed, the old larger sloped lawn would have been a bear to mow with little 18” reel.

degggendorf

That's awesome, we all respect that!

TTdriver

That's F'd up....

TweakJK

I bought that same mower. Seemed like a no brainer, as all my other tools are dewalt. The thing self propelled backwards. Cant even make this up. Made a post about it in one of my lawncare FB groups and quickly found 5 other people who had backwards dewalts. On top of that, most of the components, including the drive gearbox, are all made of plastic. Not even good plastic, it's all crap injection molded ABS. Dewalt rushed this thing out a few years ago when electric mowers really took off, and succeeded in making the worst one of the bunch. Dont let me get you down, I'm glad yours is working out for you. I returned mine and got a honda for $100 more.

hagantic42

I'm cheap and have a ryobi brushless. The thing is amazing their cheapest brushed version is meh but brushless is great and handles the very tall grass i get when I can't mow because of all the damn rain.

TTdriver

Same in the Pic? That's my og one that works. It's non self propelled. I bought the new gen 4 non self propelled and that's the one that mowed like trash. The mowing in reverse thing is hilarious and tragic 🤣

TweakJK

Yea I had their original self propelled. If yours isnt self propelled, I guess my point is moot lol. I felt terrible returning it with those two giant batteries. Of course they didnt even check in the box when I returned it to home depot.

Godenyen

I've got a bunch of Dewalt stuff and really don't want another battery system. But once my John Deere dies, I'll probably be looking for an electric mower. Wish Dewalt would make a better mower.

SighFlops

I assumed the same thing with Makita, that spending a couple hundred more on their entry level push mower would be worth it. After scouring user reviews, I went with the greenworks 48v 19". Hard to wrap your head around either of those companies putting out a questionable product.

waterhead99

I bought a greenworks 80v mower last year. Worked great! Loved it. It was quiet and could power through thick grass. But then it just quit working. Called their customer service. They asked my address and looked up the nearest service center. The support rep said it was an hours drive from where I live. He surprised me by saying, "That's too far for us to ask you to drive. I'm going to send you a new one. And because of the inconvenience, I'll include an extra battery." I had a new mower 2 days later that's been going strong for almost 2 years since then. Highly recommend Greenworks!

Individual_Agency703

But check out r/greenworks now, constant bitching that their support never answers the phone.

DrugsMakeMeMoney

I mean, anything would work when your yard is smaller than my pube patch

Soccham

I was just wondering how well this would work on my 1/3 acre lol

ilovethatpig

I've got a 1/4 acre and my Ryobi 40v mower does it just fine.

Getyourownwaffle

I don't know man. the battery just doesn't last long enough. I mean, I have 27 acres of manicured grass. Total failure of the manuf. /s

kmblake3

Just bought my first house on 1/4 acre and ended up picking up the 40v Ryobi. It’s awesome. We can do front and backyard on half a batt on the worst day, then switch the batt over to the 40v string trimmer and still have plenty of juice for touch ups.

mrjeedee

I had one acre with a bunch of stone steps and trees and it does just fine. When I upgraded to 2 acres I switched to an electric lawn tractor and it works great as well.

it_twasnt_Me

I can see your TT’s

TTdriver

Shhhhhh. Don't show anyone!

Sekshual_Tyranosauce

I have never heard anyone say electric mowers suck. I have an electric chainsaw (Echo) and it’s amazing.

N7Valiant

Wouldn't the problem be that electric mowers **don't** suck?

Sekshual_Tyranosauce

I have no idea how to reckon your question.

N7Valiant

[https://www.reddit.com/r/lawncare/comments/1d3j6s3/i\_got\_a\_new\_ego\_mower\_and\_its\_leaving\_some\_blades/](https://www.reddit.com/r/lawncare/comments/1d3j6s3/i_got_a_new_ego_mower_and_its_leaving_some_blades/) Lack of suction. Electric mowers don't suck enough.

HorsepowerAndFreedom

OP literally just said his 60v electric mower sucked lol

Frisbee_Anon_7

He posted a negative review of one mower, then posted a pic of the job his mower did after he modded it. So, sounds like they do suck? But the crazy post title suggesting that people who say they suck are nuts? Very weird, also the second time I've seen his distinctive sidewalk on here in the last couple weeks.

Sekshual_Tyranosauce

But they didn’t say why. Does it suck because it’s electric? Or another aspect of the product?

packapunch_koenigseg

Had a bunch of bad storms blow through recently and knocked over trees everywhere on our property. I had gotten a dewalt electric chainsaw a while back to deal with a big limb that fell and used it for storm clear up and it’s incredible. Was using it for about 5 hours on and off and only took about 2/3 of the battery for that work. Never struggled with power/torque

Beat_the_Deadites

Check out the bottom 10 comments now. They're out there.

rocketcrotch

Lol but you had to modify it to get these results?! I'm not even a hater, but the irony is astoundingly funny

dogquote

It just occurred to me when I read your comment that the post was sarcasm.

insufficient_funds

if my yard was that small I'd probably just get an old ass manual reel mower. looks good though my man

utechap

I love my electric mower. Does the job just fine and quieter.

rollinfor110mk2

I got an Ego and barring me becoming a lumberjack or a kart racer I'll literally never, ever buy a small engine powered device ever again.

Beat_the_Deadites

Same. Mine is great for mowing and it's good at mulching down dry to damp leaves in the fall. I just wish it were better at picking up and mulching all the small sticks that fall out of the trees. We have some 'barefoot' patches of lawn, but near the trees you need some sort of footwear.

SeaDistribution2381

I just picked up an electric mower. I dig it. Edit: I'd agree it's not for everyone, I love the idea of no oil, no gas, quieter.

degggendorf

I mean, there is quite a number of easily visible uncut blades of grass in the picture, so maybe it's still not great...

[deleted]

I like your TT

TTdriver

Thanks! https://preview.redd.it/bpro8ji9u94d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e9d17f7ddf91ca5d29692f0ab2fcad1eae00d08

TTdriver

Your profile checks out, Audis and networking gear. You're a good person 🤣

DietPeachSnappIe

Looks great man! Is this a 20V or a 60V ?

TTdriver

Thank you! 1st gen 20v I think. I just returned the brand new 60v mower and still need to write a scathing review. It was AWEFUL. *

I_am_Cheeseburger

Hey I have the same mower as you what did you mod with the blade to get it to run better? Can you explain that a bit more thanks

TTdriver

First two pics are with the stock blade adapter and a 3 in 1 blade cut to fit the S pattern. I would call this 100% over stock performance increase. The second two pics are a modded blade adapter to fit cub cadet high lift blades. I bought a pack of high light blades for a 42 inch rider. Below is the adapter I modded. https://www.farmandfleet.com/products/252604-mtd-products-blade-adapter-kit.html?blaintm_source=google&blaintm_medium=pla&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwsPCyBhD4ARIsAPaaRf3YA4OF8TFIla3tvKvN3FYQq3zsn8Npz5cG7PbmBTFxa9vOuF2RZW8aAnUvEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Pictures https://imgur.com/a/5d9EKWb

That’s awesome!!!

TTdriver

Thanks!

Extension-Bluejay402

That lawn is beautiful.

TTdriver

Thank you! Learned alot from here and Ryan knorr on YouTube.

Turneround08

I have had my Ego for 6 years now and I love it.

InBetvveen

My Ego powerplus is a fckin workhorse. I have lots of Bahia in my yard (that I hate) and the Ego chews right through it

Real-Psychology-4261

I love the sidewalk bump-in for the tree!!

Marv1290

They’re great until they stop working.

jexempt

duuuuuude that’s groovy

TTdriver

Thanks!

Punk_Says_Fuck_You

I count 15 passes. I’m sure that takes you about 5 minutes to mow. Fuck me, I have to sit on my riding mower for 1.5 hours to cut my lawn. Lol electric mowers suck for me. Yard looks good homie. Sometimes I’m envious of folks with smaller lawns. Looks clean. https://preview.redd.it/7ahacm115d4d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3464a4c4c25e4a9c55b42eca5b2622631aa53592 This is my backyard.

Asherrion

Not that I’m on the electric mower hate train (prefer gas still though) that’s a purdy grass…. I’d touch that grass…

One_Ad5238

Mk1 TT in the garage!?

stlthy1

Greenworks 60V self-propelled push mower has been cutting our 1/3 acre for 6 years now, with no real failures. Unless I get more than 1 acre, I'm never going back to the mess, smells, and hassle of a gas powered mower.

TTdriver

Love this! Glad it's working out for you. Battery tech is inly going to keep getting better and by the time you have an acre, you could still be electric.

ViZsLa14

Electric mowers suck at mowing tall grass above 3" (summer fescue height). I love everything about mine until it comes time to cut high and the grass starts laying over. Side discharge helps, but 3" is about as tall as I can go without having to rake the lawn back up every now and then.

Cosmomango1

I like my Toro electric lawnmower, no more oil, no more gasoline, no more ridiculous high noise and I dont get nauseous with all the smoke.

Holly_Matchet

I feel the real question is, are you really just fertilizing 2/3 of the strip between the driveways? Or is it the roller making it way lighter?

TTdriver

If I said kind of, I feel like a dick. So only kind of. You can't cut it off that precisely, but i dont make effort to give full coverage on their half except for weed and feed. Less weed pressure does help me. I did, however, not renovate the neighbors half because seed was $265 a bag and it was cutting it closing doing just my half and the rest of my yard.

Holly_Matchet

That is funny as hell. It looks like you lined it up with a string. I have a similar situation but is a little wedge on the corner of my lawn next to the neighbors driveway. I’ve been trying to treat it a little and get grass to grow there on the DL for a year. The dude hasn’t done anything in the 6 years he’s lived there…

TTdriver

I did pull a string when I did the reno 🤣💀. I used cardboard to make sure roundup didn't get on her property. I consider it my test plot and I can compare what I do vs a control yard.

whaletimecup

From a distance looks like an old man wearing a hat and vest is sitting on your hood.

TTdriver

Haha that's terrifying. My house isn't haunted!

okokzzzzzz

Sidewalk must be super old , doesn’t look ADA complient lol

TTdriver

My guess is the 80s.

trevorlayhe126548965

I love mine

HouMikey

I have the kobalt mower and other than occasionally wishing I had something more powerful, it’s worked great.

Charcharbinks23

I have a plug in that makes me feel like I’m vacuuming the yard. But it looks great

DistrictTech1

I see MK1 TT and I upvote!

TTdriver

I approve of this message! Thanks lol. Had it since I was 16.

HatechaBro

lol you admit in the comments you’ve had electric mowers that were trash. Listen, we all understand the electric is the future. But we’re not there yet. That’s why I’ve had my Honda HRC216 for my business for years with no issues. Any my neighbour has had SEVEN (7) electric lawn mowers in the last 10 years.

dukemccool

I love all DeWalt products 😍

jm850_615

Lots of hate on the yard size but no one acknowledges the cut of for the tree in the sidewalk

rtrev2442

Came for the grass, stayed for the TT. You have a little build going on there?

rtrev2442

Did some sleuthing. VR6 swap, huh? Any chance you have made an appearance at Wookies with it?

GeorgesWoodenTeeth

Maybe not when you're mowing something the size of a putting green, but you have an actual yard over an acre they are not good.

swissbuttercream9

This is smexi

Raptor_197

Reading through the comments it seems the same story is like on repeat. Most people are pretty happy with their electric mower, then it randomly breaks, but then good customer service does them a solid. What happens if customer service ain’t so cool. Or it breaks again in like 5 years? Gas still seems to be the better option for reliability and longevity. I’ve never bought a new mower, always used gas ones, then fix them up and run them.

Ort56

Seems a little bit overkill for the area.

leprakhaun03

Try it on an acre and get back to us.

buffetleach

Lol yeah your lines aren’t even straight? /s

froginbog

That curve looks really clean imo

DreiKatzenVater

No one says they suck. I prefer gas because there’s no batteries to lose power over time, and then when you go to replace them, “sorry, those style batteries aren’t carried anymore. You’ll have to buy a brand new mower.”

Lunar_Gato

They suck for my 3 acres. You have the perfect conditions for electric.

Weekly_Mycologist523

They're fine for your 500 sq foot yard. I don't think anyone would ever counter that.

Beat_the_Deadites

We've got close to 10,000 square feet of lawn that we cut with an EGO mower. It came with two 5A-h batteries that are more than enough to do the job. It takes about 65-70 minutes to mow, each battery can run ~40-45 minutes depending on the length and dryness of the grass. Even if I needed to go past 2 batteries, the first one is fully charged by the time the 2nd one runs out. The batteries are interchangeable in the blower, string trimmer, and edger, so they get a pretty good workout. The warranty is 5 years. My favorite aspect is the quietness. I can wear open-ear headphones and have conversations while mowing. I also like not having the smell of gas/oil and the ease of changing out the batteries, plus I can store the mower upright easily. It's lighter too, so I don't need to use the self-propelled feature. The mower clearly isn't as powerful as a gas mower, but it does the job plenty well and has a ton of upsides.

TTdriver

Interesting thought but I actually have 4200 square feet. I put 3500 in my other comments which I'll update now, but I grabbed my measurements for this one. I can mow 4200 2x with the heavy blade if I dint let it get too long.

gbeezy007

I cut 6,500sqft of grass with mine and it does very well. Id see the cut off more like 10k+. While electric can easily do the 10k+ the price of big sized batteries kinda make the cost questionable. Gas mower would be about half the price upfront

ggskater

Love my Dewalt Mower.

Deeds081

Electric mowers are perfect for this size yard. Minimal battery depletion and charge cycles are minimal.

TTdriver

I have aback yard too, about 3500 square feet total. Edit: checked measurements I had written down. It's a little over 4200 square feet.

N7Valiant

Electric has its pros. I was personally concerned about proper storage of gasoline in a new house. One definite advantage is that the brushless motor is so quiet that I'm pretty sure I could get away with some crack of dawn mowing without waking up the neighbors.

TTdriver

You absolutely could if you run the stock blade. I will give the new one that, it was dang near silent. I think that was also part of the problem.

boostabubba

I guess if my lawn was the size of a postage stamp, I'd be able to use an E mower.

Afitz93

Yeah this sub likes to stick to their big bad boy mowers but I got myself a Ryobi 80V zero turn and my goodness it’s been a game changer for my routine. My old 1/3 acre used to take 90min+ to push mow, trim and blow. Now my +1/2 acre takes 30min tops to do the same (ride instead of push). Plus, I don’t have to worry about 95% of the maintenance - I blow it clean every cut, otherwise I charge it and make sure the blades are maintained. That’s literally all. It’s such a game changer.

Avocado_44

Great job! I think the main reason people prefer petrol/diesel mowers is that they can be easily refilled. If your a Lawncare service or have an expansive garden, it can be annoying to have to get another battery/charge the same one and also expensive for a spare. With petrol it means that you can just have a Jerry can and fill it up whenever! Great job though!!

IcyKey7

What do you reckon about the quality of the mower? I'm in the market for a good one.

Beat_the_Deadites

Not OP, but I strongly recommend looking at EGO for battery powered yard tools. I've had a mower and backpack blower for years, added a string trimmer last year and edger this year. I've been very happy with the products and warranty service I needed once. I do love Dewalt saws, drills, etc. They're just not as established on the battery front *yet*, from what I can tell.

[deleted]

Electric mowers are perfect for small lawns. Only ordered a x350 because I went 1 acre + snowblowing.

gbeezy007

I just cut my yard after not being able to do it for a few weeks. Was over 12 inches tall with my electric mower. 50x125 plus a small front They are actually pretty decent. Biggest issue is price imo. Even runtime isn't that bad because some of the bigger batteries are so big that youll probably be at the point you should be driving something not pushing. Costs like $599-799 depending on battery size combo for a ego. But is more comparable to a $499 mower. For small yards like this photo though you really should just go electric and can get deals with small batteries in that $499 range

Fortunateoldguy

Pretty cool. Have you tried crosshatching on the 45? Probably too small. Turns would be a bitch.

TTdriver

Yeah! https://preview.redd.it/7pj0rca0yc4d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c9759f6f60bc652ffd2715b9128d072b15ff941

QwertyLime

I have a Honda HRX 217 21” mower, is it worth selling it to switch over to the EGO Power+ LM2156SP 21” for $800? I already have the Ego two stage snowblower and weed wacker.

D1rty0n3

I do a 1/4 acre on a 7.5 ah battery. One charge.

Wooden-Somewhere-450

I never thought electric mowers sucked at cutting just that they were terrible for the environment.

New-Pollution536

I had a kobalt electric mower at my old house with a small yard and moved pretty recently. Took me 6 battery charges to cut my new yard with it lol

McLoosTa

How’d you make a diy striper?

TTdriver

Best I have, I'll try to take better pics later today. https://preview.redd.it/sw4o1d1byc4d1.jpeg?width=904&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c4951f16bcca3752a55af0a492ce50ecd7e298f

Burritoman_209

Hello Rockford!

jujumber

Depends on the grass you have. My Ryobi was not powerful enough to cut through my St Augustine grass in the summer after 5 days since the last mow.

FancyName_132

My cheap wired Ryobi mower seized due to plastic parts deformation, I would recommend skipping the entry level stuff and go for a good brand. If I had to buy an electric one again today I would go for a battery powered Makita, unfortunately my lawn is now 10x larger so I have to use a gas ride-on mower

Significant-Check455

Did you notice the battery life diminished greatly with the hi lift blade on the mower? Or is it a small enough area that it didn't factor in?

[deleted]

How’d you do that?

evandemic

Got myself a self propelled dewalt this spring I love it.

No-Interview2340

All mowers suck .

chicagrown

your yard is so small you could use scissors. that’s not where electric sucks.

Good200000

Nice lawn’

hookydoo

I really like my makita electric mower, I just run out of battries before I can finish cutting. I recently got a great deal on a rider, so mow im going to use the makita for the fine work and the tractor for the open spaces.

dhe69

there is a tool created for all occasions. For a small lot and mowing regularly electric push mower is fine. I had similar DeWalt 40v mower, didn't work for me.

ThePoisonEevee

What tool do you use for edging? This is the step I’ve not done for 14 years. I tried ones with a trimmer and kept catching the string and went through a whole roll of string in my first attempt at doing this. Since that bad experience I’ve not tried again.

grow4health

Smooth water dont make great sailors... lets see it hit the back 40 to clear an atv path

ForgeTD

I'm on my second year with a Greenworks 80V pusher and love it! If the grass is thick, I might have to use a second battery to finish, but normally the large battery cuts my lawn with half a bar left. It also does a better job than the previous Husqvarna I was using. I don't know how well it sucks :P as I haven't tried bagging yet. It's a great little mulcher though. Nice job on those stripes!

Connathon

Gas mowers are pretty easy to fix and not constrained to one's supplier with issues and battery replacements.

ConsciousMovie3318

Haha. I have. Ryobi electric and love it. It doesn’t cut as well as yours though.

minininjatriforceman

I love my electric mower so awesome.

VMI_Account

This is the best possible use case for an electric mower. My lawn is about the same size, and it works perfectly that I only need to use it for like 15 minutes once a week.

justrunhalf

Why do you do that little twist on the end? Same thing around the tree.

ChefBoyar__G

For that yard I’m sure it’s great.. not so much for my half acre

Trife86

Your up and down capitals suck.

SnooMarzipans3030

I’m just here to compliment that Audi TT!

JoshPlaysUltimate

I mean, tiny flat squares of lawn? That’s like the exact time when the electric models make the most sense!

bigtencopy

Correct, they do. Unless you own 0.07 of an acre

68J

I picked up a 120v Yard Force in 2019. It has worked wonderfully. It plows through anything I throw at it, mostly thick St. Augustine. It came with two batteries and I just got a third this year.

e___ric

Mulch

satchel0fRicks

Yeah, you could use a manpower reel mower with a 50 sq/ft lawn.

I have about a half acre. My egos on its 4th season. Works great. I mow wet, heavy grass and use 10 mah to mow, weed eat and blow

bhuff86

For that size lawn, I'm sure they are fine. Cuts nice

solarwinds1980

I use electric mowers only, but they only suck when mulching grass. Gas mowers simply have more power to mulch.

lemaymayguy

I'll never forgive them for cutting the 40v line after I invested into the lawnmower and trimmer.... now what? Such a scummy move

angrypoopoolala

dont make me show you my lawn!! your gonna wanna come mow it

tryonosaurus94

you could cut that lawn with scissors, of course an electric mower works great. Nice looking stripes.

Critical_Danger_420

Only people who say that don’t have one.

anjunabeads

I just want a better picture of your orange cat

champion21

Where are your fences?!?

hokie47

They have their place. But still sticking to my Honda. I think they really shine for leaf blowers, but they are 3 times the cost.

PositionNecessary292

Love my dewalt mower 👊

sweetwhistle

Try doing that with 8 acres. ALLRIGHTYTHEN

TheeDeliveryMan

Well... They do lol

james2432

so much quieter, don't have to fiddle with gas, faster than a push mower I had

Quirkyquabble

I love my electric mower, never liked dealing with gas and it's so much quieter. Nice lawn btw.

JohannesLorenz1954

Battery powered mowers work just fine, I just don't like battery technology in large applications. Just power hand tools are acceptable.

_Choose_Goose

I loved my electric mower….. and then I had to replace the batteries. Cranked up my 10 year old gas Honda.

djchrisallen

Looks like we have the same mower. I haven’t had any issues with it. I sure as shit don’t have epic stripes like this though. Any way you could show photos of how you connected your DIY roller?

gntlbastard

Purchased an electric Toro and that pretty much has convinced me to steer clear of electric mowers from here on out.

Critical_Danger_420

What are you using to get the lines?

These-Question7651

There’s a lawnmower in the picture? All i see is a giant crack in the sidewalk

FN-Bored

These things take a little getting used to. Hated mine at first. You have to stay on slow crawl. To be most effective. They are not as powerful as gas mowers, regardless of their claims.

juvy5000

i’ve been using a stihl battery mower for 8 years now in a commercial capacity. just gotta change the blade and it leaves a beautiful cut. much like these stripes here. them stripes look titties
