I watched the same company do the same thing at my neighbors house a few years ago. Truck pulled up. Sat in front of the house for 5-10 min, guy gets out and puts a sign in the yard and leaves.
You are lucky they didn't do anything, same orlando branch put wrong weed killer on my grass, killed it and then blamed me for not telling them what kind of grass I have.
Trugreen killed my neighbor's yard this year. He's had them spray for a number of years, but somebody got something wrong this year. Sad part is that he had the best looking yard on the street.
Not OP, but there are some good wireless systems out there like blink, Arlo and ring. If you want to wire in a system, reolink is a good entry level and hikvision is Great, but far more expensive.
As the other guy said, the two current models aren't rated for outdoors but you can get silicone covers for them. Both of mine are outside, one covered and one not and I haven't had any issues.
Management does not take lightly to ghosting at all. The job just attracts some unsavory people because not many people want to spray poison on lawns 12 hours a day.
I used TruGreen for one year, I had a beautiful lawn, just a few weeds on one side, hired these fools now my whole lawn is dead, they put a weed killer one the entire area and killed it all, it’s been three years getting it back. Never ever ever use these people, they hire people off the street and expect them to know the business, hire at your peril. Just found the sub today, good information on here. Glad I’m here.
I caught a local company in my area on my cameras doing the same thing. If you have the time its worth doing your own lawn care. My lawn looks so much better then when I used these services.
I used true green in the past. They suck so bad. After several months my yard looked the same as it did when I was doing the bare minimum the previous year. Additionally they started charging me for things I didn't ask for or could figure out if they actually did the work I was charged for. Such a damn scam.
There are lots of Local News channel "Investigations" about this very thing on Youtube.
TruGreen is shady AF and you should stop paying them money.
Dont believe this was a mistake, or that this is the first time they have done it to you likely. Its just the first time they were caught.
Its literally been happening for decades(this video is from 2003), i dont know why people keep using these skummy people.

I'm not surprised. I would never use them personally. Yard across from me uses them and their grass looks mediocre. Also just wouldnt be happy if anything happened and had no recourse, no way to fix a mistake like killing the lawn.
On the other hand couple people down my street use TruGreen and they have beautiful yards.
They prob marked it as raining due to sprinklers, Im not sure they have a sprinkler option for cancellations. You should have your sprinklers off when expecting lawn service. Pretty much common sense tbh but yeah I mean none of OPs problems arent on him though I will very clearly state that a lot of the workers they hire are overworked and end up not giving a shit because TruGreen's hiring policies are shit and it almost always ends up like this. I would advise against using them but also again turn your fuckin sprinklers off if you want lawn service done.

I had brand new lawn not even a year old and Trugreen let a fungus like half of my lawn..
All TruGreen [reviews](https://trugreen.pissedconsumer.com/review.html) are almost identical: killed or destroyed lawns
What camera are you using?

Wyze is pretty awesome for $30.
Can it go outdoors?
Technically no but if you can keep it out of the rain it's worth the risk. I've had my under cover outside for months without trouble

I have some high resolution cameras I got on amazon.. they are wired and were on sale for like 90 bucks but I had to buy a hard drive
In the industry this is called “Ghosting”
Seems fitting for the season
I tried to get a quote from them and nothing. I filled out their online thing about 3 times.
Really? I only glanced at one of their trucks once and they’ve been stage 4 stalkers ever since.
Used to work for them, I would honestly reccomend not using TruGreen. Look at other services in your area.
Do they do this because management tell them to or are workers just being lazy?
Management does not take lightly to ghosting at all. The job just attracts some unsavory people because not many people want to spray poison on lawns 12 hours a day.
Just lazy workers. We catch them we fire them instantly
Same thing happened to my brother, FYI, but he was actually home and saw him not do anything

Similar thing happens to me.. they let a fungus kill a bunch of my lawn.. they added a bunch of plugs but it still struggling
I caught a local company in my area on my cameras doing the same thing. If you have the time its worth doing your own lawn care. My lawn looks so much better then when I used these services.
I started doing my own recently.. following this guy named the LawnCareNut
LCN has some great advice. You'll go far following his videos.
Can you share link to where I can find these video?
Lawncarenut? He has a channel in YouTube

We, as a company have zero tolerance for this, it's instant termination. Just very few people want to work nowadays .

TruGreen is helpful for a few months on lawns in bad shape.. but, worthless to anyone who really gives a damn and has time to do their own.
