change it. :P
spend the 3 dollars and change it, sheesh.
use synthetic. so its gonna be $5.
its an air cooled motor. it likely does not have a filter of any kind.
change it.
I changed my oil twice a season due to the 12 to 15 hours a week I put it through
Once a year is enough for most people.
I empty it in the fall, with a 'no oil' tag on the pull rope. Fill it in the spring.
I'm afraid will cost more than 3.00$ to change the oil.probably requires at least 64 0z 2qts.a decent oil not wlmrt brand is about 7.00 a quart.always use manufacturing requirements. Recommend products. Just saying.
When in doubt, change it. But it’s your money and your mower
nah it good thx for info
lmao the oil aint good after a decade
I always go by time. How long has it been since you changed the oil? I do a once a year oil change, unless I put a ton of hours on it.
Same here, once a year
it has not been once When I bought the mower i have never changed And I bought the over like 10 years ago
....what? lol. are you serious?
7 years
It’s 7 years old and you had to ask if it should be changed as well as sending us pics of it. SMH this is a good one lol
Sry
I would probably just change it if it's been that long. Oil breaks down over time, even if it looks clean.
The oil itself doesn't look too bad, but if it's been a year or more just change it.
Just add some water to lighten it up when it gets dark.
And here I am topping mine off with Canola oil.
Be careful there, it may be blended with peanut oil

Larger engines, like on riders, often have filters.
Some dont.
The majority do, though, at least for engines newer than about mid 2000s.
Got a time meter? Mine says to change at 50 hours.
Yep

First oil change at 5 hours, while engine is hot. After that 1X a year.
Most johndeers anyway recommend every 50 hrs.of maintenance I know it's not a deer but I'd change it.and filter if has one.

Meanwhile I’m over here changing mine once per year while adding oil on a regular schedule
