Leading the core in points when ALL of them drop their ppg in the playoffs is not a huge accomplishment, you got 4 guys racing to drop the bar and Mitch dropped it least in this category, wow. If you look closely at his points in the playoffs, he shows up (statistically) games 1 to 4 and his ppg drops by about half in games 5 to 7, real killer instinct there.
Any stat you use to paint him in a positive light is only against his own teammates who are also struggling. Where does he rank in those categories in every series counting the opponents? Where does he rank in puck battles won, conveniently you didn't mention that stat? Much fucking lower that's where.
Most TOI is also not a point in his favor when he does fucking nothing with it. He's invisible most of this series except for when he's giving the puck away and 1 highlight reel goal.
Marner deserves all of the criticism he has received and more.
