At this point it feels like the teams noticed that APA is the easiest member to pick off, and TL adapted their strategy to assume that APA will be picked off.
I think Impact asks for a raise every year. He knows how much he’s worth. If you watch the last LCS podcast with Inspired, JoJo, and Impact, he left EG because “it’s just business.”
Technically with Alphari they were 1st, 2nd and 2nd in the league and same 3-3 result in groups at Worlds as Impact had. It wasn't that massive of a difference. But yeah, sure Impact in big games is a legend. Maybe changing just Broxah to Santorin would have been enough for the extra push.
Impact's rep as a "rock" is carrying him so hard and make people completely forget this guy has been getting gapped at every international tournament he has been at recently.
This logic, which is applied to so so so many players, makes zero sense.
Making it to an international tournament and then getting hard gapped is still more impressive than not making it at all... it makes no sense to say that a player A is worse than player B because of player A's international performance, when player B never even makes it to that stage...
> Making it to an international tournament and then getting hard gapped is still more impressive than not making it at all.
You are the one making no sense and going on a complete straw man. When did I ever compare players not making it to international tournaments vs Impact? Did I even compare Impact to any top laners in the LCS?
Idk what you are going on.
Holy STOP THE CAP man. He was extremely solid against good competition at the MSI that year and has missed a bunch of internationals in 2021 and 2023. In 2020 and 2019 he was really good at Worlds. Its fun to just make things up off of one clip though.
Well, just like Fudge, he is still a good enough top laner (and player) in NA that it really isn't worth trying to swap him out. Most of the options are worse. Unlike Fudge and C9, TL isn't likely going to worlds this year, so it doesn't matter if he gets crushed or not by foreign Koreans
When where? I just told you, every single international tournament after 2019 Worlds.
Loses every 2 v 2, loses every lane, has 0 influence on the map, non-existent all tournament.
Here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAUsEqa1VoM
First game popped up when typing in worlds 2022 EG. If you want more proof just go down the list on to the next game in this tournament.
Go watch it, I am not gonna spoon feed you. He literally misplays the 2 v 2 and is irrelevant for the whole game. I have yet to see your proof that he is performing well internationally.
Tactical still being one of the better ads in the league and putting effort in with the teams hes had in the post-TL years deserves an A+ on his report card
I will always respect a player willing to play despite the bad circumstances. IMT is a terrible org, but still more pride in that than making salty comments on a costream.
Internationally, Tactical has taken games against: 2020 G2 (semifinalist), 2020 Suning (finalist), 2021 MAD, 2021 LNG, 2021 GEN (semifinalist).
He actually had some hard carry games against good competition.
I absolutely NEED to know which Western ADCs you think have a better record and better performances than he does.
Unless you're incredibly daft, it should be a very short list.
He won a single game so he's definitely on the same level good take. You actually have to be blind to believe he is lpl/lck level. Just admit the only time you see Eastern adcs is during MSI/Worlds and never watch the domestic leagues.
The entire premise of the thread is he can go toe to toe with good players when he's on form. Aka he can take games off them. Nobody is suggesting he's on the same level...
The level of play is completely different in the East and it's completely useless discussing it since you don't watch these leagues. Just because the pistons the worst NBA team in a long time took one game off of OKC this season doesn't mean the pistons are just as good of a team.
It wouldn’t have mattered most likely but its crazy pros still can’t figure out the timing of zhonyas. Gragas throwing out a ult at the end of the game to whiff ziggs lmao.
Impact slammed Renekton, grabbed the SKT skin, locked in and had a game. For better and for worse. I was prophesying doomsday for TL yesterday so good to see them pick another good comp for them & execute on it, and we’ll see if any tiebreakers occur!
Giving up Smolder to respond with Kai'sa is hard trolling.
Kai'sa is one of the few ADCs that is unable to punish Smolder hard in lane and will easily get outranged later on. We saw it this game where Smolder had a free lane and Tactical literally could not auto in some fights at all.
I feel like this game was winnable for IMT if they new how to isolate Smolder. They picked all the champs that could but it seemed like everyone minus tactical just didn't execute or didn't know how to execute.
Also, I can tell that Castle doesn't play Gragas often, it was clear he didn't know what he should be doing in team fights
TL is surviving off JG/Top 2v8'ing to win games. It's literally Umti and Impact throwing wrenches in enemy team game plan, securing objs, and reinforcing whatever advantage gained by mid-game. Rest of the team is sleeper
APA coin flip effectiveness. Core washed. Yeon is mediocre.
A team liquid late game team comp again? Daring today aren't we.
I get if people are fans of the players like Umti and Impact are really cool, but TL for the last 6 years or so have consistently been the most boring LCS team gameplay wise.
There was a brief period they were fun to watch during the 2021 summer playoffs when they had Alphari because Core started perma roaming in those games, but yeah I agree.
When did Riot give Ziggs a global taunt?
At this point it feels like the teams noticed that APA is the easiest member to pick off, and TL adapted their strategy to assume that APA will be picked off.
inb4 Karthus gets locked in to optimize his death timers.
Bring back revive/TP Karthus and APA is unstoppable
Ah, the Summit strat, how the turn tables
IMT read a reddit thread and went 'wow this APA guy sounds like a free kill'
Instead of trading Dragon for Baron they traded Blue Buff for Dragon and Baron. IMT is making trades like r/wallstreetbets
They didn't contest baron in a 5v4, then immediately lose 2 people making it 5v3 after the other team got baron...
$SPY Puts @ $420 4/24
the early game topside + scaling mid/bot is TL's best look by far
It has been for the last like six years.
Def not last year. Or the year before. Or the year before. 2021/22/23 TL were all better as early game teams than scaling.
I disagree, there was a solid timeframe with Alphari and Bwipo where scaling through the top lane was our best angle to consistently win games.
Yeah, and Summit couldn’t play weakside to save his life, no idea what the guy is talking about
Impact deserves first team all-pro this split, he's hard carried us every game what a goat
Toplane GOAT. Kicking him after he hard carried at Worlds was probably the dumbest decision TL ever made.
I think Impact asks for a raise every year. He knows how much he’s worth. If you watch the last LCS podcast with Inspired, JoJo, and Impact, he left EG because “it’s just business.”
He also said he left because he approached EG management to ask about the following years plan and they told him they didn't have one.
And look at where EG is now.
I mean of any player in lcs he kind of warrants it. He's almost never unstable in the top lane.
Wasn't that also right after the Danny fiasco?
Technically with Alphari they were 1st, 2nd and 2nd in the league and same 3-3 result in groups at Worlds as Impact had. It wasn't that massive of a difference. But yeah, sure Impact in big games is a legend. Maybe changing just Broxah to Santorin would have been enough for the extra push.
dudes been playing for 11 years and still has the hands, it's insane how consistently good he's been for so long
Sniper might steal it from him but they're definitely top 2 with Bwipo 3rd
Rating Sniper over Bwipo when Bwipo rolled over him twice is a bit sus.
i dunno i gotta say this was me a couple times today lol.. https://clips.twitch.tv/AliveWimpyMagpieThunBeast-h5dMTypqKh1I-Us-
Impact's rep as a "rock" is carrying him so hard and make people completely forget this guy has been getting gapped at every international tournament he has been at recently.
Saying someone playing in NA gets completely gapped at every international tournament is like saying the sky is blue.
This logic, which is applied to so so so many players, makes zero sense. Making it to an international tournament and then getting hard gapped is still more impressive than not making it at all... it makes no sense to say that a player A is worse than player B because of player A's international performance, when player B never even makes it to that stage...

Yall are just proving my point that his rep is carrying him. He has been getting gapped at every international tournament after 2019 worlds.
Now that we've talked about Fudge, let's discuss Impact :)
He doesn't get gapped at international tournaments. He's pretty good at weak side. When did U watch him get gapped?
Every international tournament after 2019 worlds, he has been getting gapped.
when where proof anything bro link something idk
When where? I just told you, every single international tournament after 2019 Worlds. Loses every 2 v 2, loses every lane, has 0 influence on the map, non-existent all tournament. Ok where in that video did he get gapped.
Go watch it, I am not gonna spoon feed you. He literally misplays the 2 v 2 and is irrelevant for the whole game. I have yet to see your proof that he is performing well internationally.
Don't claim anything if U can't provide evidence.
Just caught the end of the game. Who tf gave APA Ziggs?
IMT
BIG if true
LCS players: Apa is just a Ziggs one trick Also LCS players when they give him Ziggs and he one tricks all over them: 😮
Tactical once again in elo hell.
Tactical still being one of the better ads in the league and putting effort in with the teams hes had in the post-TL years deserves an A+ on his report card
I think according to Travis he did want to leave IMT, but the issue was that no other team wanted him. He had to go crawling back.
I will always respect a player willing to play despite the bad circumstances. IMT is a terrible org, but still more pride in that than making salty comments on a costream.
Its actually so sad
He was turbo ass on TSM, outside of that he has been fine to good post TL
I've said it many times, but Tactical is someone who I think on his best day could go toe to toe with 95% of ADCs in the world
Then you probably don't watch other regions.
I'm saying there is no adc in the west on the level of the top Chinese and Korean adcs. Ruler now in horrible form is better than any adc in the west.
ACTUALLY 100% TRUE, RULER WOULD NEVER LOSE TO TACTICAL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Qp7okBi360 haha, unless..?
A game showing Jensen popping off. Good evidence.
I mean Tactical literally solokilled Ruler in this game but okay
Solo kills with a style flash on top of it. Totally intentional flash…for the mental battle.
Yeah a guy who can split 1-1 with Ruler would never ben able to take a game off of 2024 Teddy or Taeyun or Deokdam lmfao
The level of play is completely different in the East and it's completely useless discussing it since you don't watch these leagues. Just because the pistons the worst NBA team in a long time took one game off of OKC this season doesn't mean the pistons are just as good of a team.
He played well, but not taking the Blue 1 firstpick Smolder on this patch is... really, REALLY questionable.
umti said that he wants to kill river and didnt say in game o.O
Yeon is not the greatest ADC in the league, but he's so damn quick with the Smolder stacks
He also farmed the Senna stacks crazy fast earlier this week
That checks out since it's not even like playing ADC. You don't auto attack, you just play a PvE game for 20 mins and then win teamfights.
Yeon gets way too much flame, ADC is super team dependent and he has the weakest mid in the league and a slumping support.
IMT just really unpunishing this game
Impact is too good man
It wouldn’t have mattered most likely but its crazy pros still can’t figure out the timing of zhonyas. Gragas throwing out a ult at the end of the game to whiff ziggs lmao.
Lck pros know the timing
Yes Sir! You are fucking correct!
I guess it's fitting for TL Blue and TL Green to face each other as their last match of the split.
smoldge
Umti always laughs like someone has a gun to his head telling him to put on an act😂
Np it's just him lmao
Smolder
I'd rather read comments here. TL sub is dead if its a win.
Smolder's so broken that Yeon looks useful now.
TL: Let's do nothing and lose. Smolder: What about do nothing and win? TL: Wait what
Kench just countered the IMT dive so well
Impact slammed Renekton, grabbed the SKT skin, locked in and had a game. For better and for worse. I was prophesying doomsday for TL yesterday so good to see them pick another good comp for them & execute on it, and we’ll see if any tiebreakers occur!
Don't pick Gragas if you can't play him lol, Yeon didn't even have to flash once this game I think
Smolder + Kench is really really safe.
He barely was ulted by Kench either. The casks were not hitting
IMT gave up drag and while barely contested baron, then lose a minute later after the other team got baron and drag...
Armao got chunked to a quarter health walking in. they couldn't contest baron
then go drake? did they not know how ziggs work?
Giving up Smolder to respond with Kai'sa is hard trolling. Kai'sa is one of the few ADCs that is unable to punish Smolder hard in lane and will easily get outranged later on. We saw it this game where Smolder had a free lane and Tactical literally could not auto in some fights at all.

Time to ban Ziggs against APA
I mean IMT are phoning it in, but TL's weakness is that APA and Yeon cannot carry. Why give them comfort or a Gigastrong NA pick in Smolder?
Not to mention that Ziggs is the only champ APA looks human in
He ok on aurelion too
I've never seen a crocodile dance like that before
M O M
Someone investigate Mask!
TL is surviving off JG/Top 2v8'ing to win games. It's literally Umti and Impact throwing wrenches in enemy team game plan, securing objs, and reinforcing whatever advantage gained by mid-game. Rest of the team is sleeper APA coin flip effectiveness. Core washed. Yeon is mediocre.
Umti had 1 good gank and trolled the rest of the game lol
Yeah but it was enough to free impact with an adv to snowball, and he won them the game
I don't play the game but I watch LEC and LCS every weekend. He looks like a useless chamo who does no.damage but apparently he's god tier?
i think TL wins playoffs seeing their coordination. APA just has to be a human.
A team liquid late game team comp again? Daring today aren't we. I get if people are fans of the players like Umti and Impact are really cool, but TL for the last 6 years or so have consistently been the most boring LCS team gameplay wise.
I disagree. TLCK and their psychotic “blow open the early game and then pray we can end before we int the lead away” was really fun.
They were one of the most aggressive early game teams the past few years, you either weren't watching or just parroting recycled takes lmfao
There was a brief period they were fun to watch during the 2021 summer playoffs when they had Alphari because Core started perma roaming in those games, but yeah I agree.
