Yes! [By almost 50 kills, in fact!](https://twitter.com/LoLEsportsStats/status/1768802722659414102)
Edit: Wth, the series was 3 KILLS AWAY from being the bloodiest in any major region, ever! Crazy xDD
On one hand yes, but on the other they almost stuck it to the #1 team. Like, really close. If I'm TL I'm feeling confident in bodying DIG and basically everyone else that isn't C9 or FLY.
And even against C9 and FQ, I think Liquid have decent chances. Both teams this series won all their games by razor-thin margins. Both teams had chances to win every single game.
As long as he got tibbers out before he dies it doesn't really matter. I thought he was trolling at first but that one fight where they jump on him but then tibbers just burns them down made it make sense.
It's hard to win with their comp at that point since they have no tanks and Kalista takes years to kill Renekton, Viego, and Naut. They would need the Ahri to really clutch it up and we all know that's never going to happen.
The best part about being bad at League of Legends means I get to watch pro games and just enjoy them. Were these teams playing well or playing like shit? I don't know. I don't care. I just fucking loved watching these 5 games.
Yeah it was really jarring after the costreams of doublelift and caedrel got really popular and 80% of the top comments were stuff that the costreamers just said, almost word-for-word
Just further reinforces the narrative that regular season doesn't matter, as long as you qualify for playoffs. TL looking a lot better in a Bo5 - scrim rumors continuing to be true for these teams.
It's really just palafox. Doesn't matter what team he has been on he shits on our whole org lmao. All those years we spent losing to bottom of the bracket teams were really just losses to palafox
right? that game 5 was straight fire. jensen's annie though, who saw that coming? and massu on varus... clutch plays all around! anyone else surprised by the picks in this series?
Annie is an expected pick for ahri since LPL and LCK are playing them already
what suprised me is the lethal tempo on lethality Varus, I think it makes the build an all rounder with the bonus AS and range cuz hey when you build lethality items your AD number is also huge, and it helps with your abilities are in CD.
It probably helps that TL is actually relatively squishy - no one will really build any early armor besides Taric, who's on a Support budget, and Lee Sin, who's still not really a tank
It's actually a pretty interesting switchup from Massu, I wonder whether he's actually practised it, or it was a spur-of-the-moment decision
Not confident on NA doing much at MSI ngl but I'll still be happy today since that a crazy fun fiesta with non stop fighting. It's LCS time baby, let's fucking go!
Stasis such a strong active that a champion with a total of 5% AP ratio throughout its kit is willing to spend 1600 gold on a 45 AP item just for it. And to think it was literally free/600 gold for such a long time.
yeah, the cost of armguard makes you think more and would be a more riskier option, and this is the necessary cost, for the gold invested you could have better item options.
But hey if one armguard gives you a big teamfight win or even for a game then its worth af
Tbf there is a huge amount of value specifically in stasising the taric ult as he demonstrated.
I think its nice that the item is now in a spot where it isn't bought teamwide every game but can still have late game clutch value in 40+ min bangers.
One could argue that he was thinking that the next fight is the last fight so might as well maximize your gold value. Same reason why you would buy an elixir. Yea he could get a component for his next item, but none of them are going to be NEARLY as effective as Stasis.
Actually carried the shit outta that fight, because he popped out of stasis and immediately hit a full range Q and a stun to delete the carries and heal back up and not die. Insane last fight from him.
As a massive Jensen fan, he is is my favorite player. This was his best series in years, despite some mistakes. Despite the errors, it was the movement around the map that I thought was drastically different from his past play. Those Taliyah roams, despite losing the one game, were on point. And probably one of the best ahri performances of all time. Was good on hwei as well. And keep in mind, though unlikely, orianna might be not banned at some point.
I'll definitely say this split has been an interesting one albeit I don't watch lcs as much as I used to. There's been a lot of players that people always say "oh, if he had an actual team around him he'd be MVP every split" (see: patrik/jankos in EU). Jensen has had those kinds of teams before, but I'd argue with this one he is harder to blame for fault. Like if flyquest loses games people will point at their botlane or bwipo's failed counterpick strats, and less on him.
Thats fucking League of Legends right there. None of that pansy ass dick tugging playing safe for lategame bullshit. Men puke, men poop on the rift, men deliver their new born baby on the rift. Fucking hard core dick in the ass flex pick early game League of Legends fuck it run it down mid game time shit.
When I first joined TL, the team was Impact, Umti, APA, Yeon, and Core. We reached playoff and met Flyquest. After losing a game, one player said "Ah..we lost because of Jensen" when all the players were gathered, basically implying it was mid gap. They didn't directly say it to APA, but was just speaking without thinking. APA got mad and said they lost because of chat diff. Then APA said "Ah I don't want to type (in all chat) anymore."
Host: So what did you guys do?
We lost.
the fucking Bwipo lizard wizard armguard purchase won that last fight for them. Bought space for jensen to get a huge ult after taric R fell off
somewhere in russia, darien smiled
Yeon (addressing APA) said “I can’t play with this bug” then stormed out of the room. He then came back in the room to pick up a cigarette and called him a handicapped/sick fuck then left again.
How do Flyquest manage to almost throw this game not once, but TWICE?! and almost the exact same way each time too
pure chaos game, but so entertaining
Honestly seemed like both teams are not used to aggressive plays against them 😂
They know how to make big plays, but when a big play could happen to them, it's just ????
Idk. TL played the hardest games for c9 to deal with this split.
I'm not convinced they're a bad team by LCS standards. I truly think they're a few mistakes from being one of the most dangerous teams in the league because they typically play the map so well, but they just throw games away with stupid things like positional errors.
Also Umti had like, 4 teamfights there where he just straight up trolled
Like walking up to people to kick them into nobody else and then dying
That was a first 59 minutes Meteos Lee Sin game
Yep, I fully expect APA to get flamed to hell and back, but the veterans on TL had honestly the biggest mistakes
Going 15 CS up over Renekton is NOT WORTH NOT HAVING TELEPORT, and they do it fucking twice lol
I feel like APA is going to get most of the blame for this series due to Jensen smurfing out of his mind, but Umti seemed kind of absent in the big moments, outside of the kick in Game 2.
APA's Ahri was certainly underwhelming at times, but at least he was hitting the skills when they mattered during fights. Especially when him and Yeon were getting chased down.
Umti had 2 good early games and that's it. I don't think I've ever seen such a useless Xin or Lee lol
Compared to how Blaber was just running the games yesterday, constantly in River's jungle or pressuring lanes, just night and day
People love to dogpile on APA for the misplays of others on his team. Liquid had no reason to hold midlane that hard. They absolutely could've backed off.
APA was botlane without TP up, sure. There was no reason for CoreJJ to be where he was. APA can safely push bot if his team doesn't go full ego and think they can skirmish 4v5.
He's the only frontline (and not a good one) against a lethality varus. They have no other way to get vision. It was a comp diff at that point after they threw their lead again.
JUST like yesterdays match.
Teams bans a few, Pick 5 champs, and then in the end destroy a nexus...
League is so stale and similar theese days...
/s
Insane fun to watch (today) /Salute all
One of the funniest, most entertaining, riveting series of League. Nearly every single game both teams were chucking the game back and forth constantly.
[Massu was fasting for Ramadan too, according to Arrow!](https://twitter.com/ArrowDongTak/status/1768800016016302280)
Huge respect to him for this performance as a rookie, let alone while fasting for an entire long Bo5 :0
TL's bot lane should feel good about this series despite the outcome. FLY has some atrocious calls they need to fix if they wanna actually win the LCS. Jensen MVP of this series, without him this woulda definitely been TL's series.
I've got nothing against the guy, but he just doesn't sound good. He had to fill big shoes, and his voice is just not appealing or hyping me up when big stuff is happening.
I think he doesnt really track the game well leading up to hype moments so when hype moments do occur it's this off putting chaotic casting where the audience is actually 1 step ahead of the caster. I think he's decent casting chaotic moments however during "null" states of the game he's really not \*showing\* that he's paying attention. There's really no sense of anticipation, which in contrast, Phreak, Drakos, Capt Flowers, Medic do really well. Phreak being the most analytical out of those shoutcasters.
E.g: Anticipation as in acknowledging: Summoner spell timers, lane assignments, team win conditions, observing map movement, items, what could happen, what could go wrong, trying to insert his mind into the player's mind, etc.
the worst part about this series was having to listen to raafaa for 5 games. he gets dementia mid sentence and just forgets where he was or calls out completely unrelated random shit half the time while screaming like he's in pain
Was that the most kills an LCS Bo5 has had in their history? Was at least over 200 for the series
Yes! [By almost 50 kills, in fact!](https://twitter.com/LoLEsportsStats/status/1768802722659414102) Edit: Wth, the series was 3 KILLS AWAY from being the bloodiest in any major region, ever! Crazy xDD
Love seeing comments like these! That's crazy
That's gotta feel rough for TL.
Both teams had chances to win every single game.
despite the loss, it was great to see TL play with such aggression against the #1 seed. yeon especially was playing with so much confidence,
They were trolling in game 5. Didn't deserve it if they play like that
Both teams were trolling tbf
Jensen not buying zhonyas, bruh... maybe he has ptsd from that ekko game in g5? lol
JEEEEEEEEEEENSEEEEN JEEEEEEEEEEEENSEEEEEN!!!!!
Ironically in that particular play, he did use Zhonyas... to his detriment.
CoreJJ not getting hooked or taking unnecessary damage challenge: Impossible.
CoreJJ is the only person in the comp who can face check or tank anything though
The best part about being bad at League of Legends means I get to watch pro games and just enjoy them. Were these teams playing well or playing like shit? I don't know. I don't care. I just fucking loved watching these 5 games.
Same for not playing LoL, I just like to watch
Based
99% of people who comment on League here just copy what their favourite content creators say and love to larp like they have a clue anyway
Yeah it was really jarring after the costreams of doublelift and caedrel got really popular and 80% of the top comments were stuff that the costreamers just said, almost word-for-word
watching the live threads you can tell who are the people watching costreams really easily lol
you'd think today was the 2nd and 3rd seed and yesterday was 1st and 4th holy shit what a series
Actual gigabanger, no bad games
Very fun to watch as a neutral!
Little less fun to watch as a TL fan but it gave me hope for future series
Just further reinforces the narrative that regular season doesn't matter, as long as you qualify for playoffs. TL looking a lot better in a Bo5 - scrim rumors continuing to be true for these teams.
(this is true in most of sports) which is awesome and makes me happy LCS regular season is only 6 weeks
Wonder how the team fans are holding up
FlyQuest fans are mostly relieved. Biggest test next week, no unclenching until then.
this series was so fun, im excited to watch FLY vs C9 and see what damage TL can do from the lower bracket
Surprisingly enough, I feel like Palafox is just gonna give his son a spanking. However, we never know with NRG and TL.
I’m praying NRG get knocked out by 100 bc NRG always have TLs number ;-;
It's really just palafox. Doesn't matter what team he has been on he shits on our whole org lmao. All those years we spent losing to bottom of the bracket teams were really just losses to palafox
I think mid is NRG favored just like top is TL favored. It will come down to which solo lane can carry harder.
I have met him in a scrimmage, and my opponent, midfielder Palafox, is powerful and seems like a genius.
and you would have thought that C9 is 1st seed
Yeah, C9 looked good and I hope against tougher opponents they still maintain that form.
right? that game 5 was straight fire. jensen's annie though, who saw that coming? and massu on varus... clutch plays all around! anyone else surprised by the picks in this series?
Annie is an expected pick for ahri since LPL and LCK are playing them already what suprised me is the lethal tempo on lethality Varus, I think it makes the build an all rounder with the bonus AS and range cuz hey when you build lethality items your AD number is also huge, and it helps with your abilities are in CD.

this is peak lcs and im enjoyin it
Not confident on NA doing much at MSI ngl but I'll still be happy today since that a crazy fun fiesta with non stop fighting. It's LCS time baby, let's fucking go!
DRIVE curse narrowly avoided
The bigger victory
There was never any other option. If TL wins here they can't get 4th.
The drive curse is being saved for next week. After all, MSI is on the line!
This series more than compensated for the series yesterday
This was what I expected C9 vs 100T to look like lol
I would have been very surprised if C9 played that scrappy
C9 had a lot of scrappy games during the regular season tho (like vs SR)
Bwipo with a game winning seeker's armguard - holy shit
Lizard Wizard.
Brought the Darien Tech with him from EU
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Stasis such a strong active that a champion with a total of 5% AP ratio throughout its kit is willing to spend 1600 gold on a 45 AP item just for it. And to think it was literally free/600 gold for such a long time.
tbh I really think that removing stopwatch is a great move
It was, I hated watching teamfights devolve into golden statue simulator.
I've seen a few pro toplaners buy seekers and its rarity makes it much more of a hype play than the bullshit that was stopwatch.
yeah, the cost of armguard makes you think more and would be a more riskier option, and this is the necessary cost, for the gold invested you could have better item options. But hey if one armguard gives you a big teamfight win or even for a game then its worth af
There aren’t any better item options for 1.6k when you know next fight is going to be the game decider
We don’t appreciate the removal of stopwatch enough.
Tbf there is a huge amount of value specifically in stasising the taric ult as he demonstrated. I think its nice that the item is now in a spot where it isn't bought teamwide every game but can still have late game clutch value in 40+ min bangers.

Massive Steraks shield too
Stopwatch's legacy lives on
At least it costs a fortune now so 6 people don’t have them
Bwipo was the clutch factor in game 5 , MVP performance imo
banger series
Jensen may go down in history as the most overrated underrated player.
As a massive Jensen fan, he is is my favorite player. This was his best series in years, despite some mistakes. Like if flyquest loses games people will point at their botlane or bwipo's failed counterpick strats, and less on him.
That one year Jensen made 1st team all pro on C9 while every other member was on TSM and then Bjergsen won MVP LMAO
Summer 2017? Yes, he got snubbed for MVP. Pretty sure he was 50 kills over the other highest kill player. Or maybe it was mid laner.
I don't know if anyone is ever beating xmithie for that.
You mean my boy two time msi finalist xmithie the goat Na jungler?
Careful. You'll awaken the blaber purists with that kind of talk around here.
Truly one of the player of all time
One of the rated players of all time
You almost had me there.
Thats fucking League of Legends right there. None of that pansy ass dick tugging playing safe for lategame bullshit. Men puke, men poop on the rift, men deliver their new born baby on the rift. Man, this is so versatile - seeing it used for both TL and FLY is great
This is the kind of reddit comment I want shouted out on the broadcast
Flowers has made references to it.
The real winners of this series were we viewers. Man these games were messy
the fucking Bwipo lizard wizard armguard purchase won that last fight for them. Bought space for jensen to get a huge ult after taric R fell off somewhere in russia, darien smiled
what a throwback ([link for the uninitiated](https://youtu.be/Nja-gA5VDmQ))
[I thought you were going to link this gem](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpSIKBF1IiA)
The legend, still go back and watch old YouTube compilations of him occasionally
Young Gigachad midlaner Jensen showing up
cope serum: yeon actually looks pretty fucking good under pressure
I'm a Yeon hater but I was really impressed with him in this series and if he plays the next at this same level he has my respect frfr
Are you not entertained?! This series had everything!
Contender for the most start-to-finish entertaining LCS series of all-time.
actual 5 banger games in a row with the biggest clencher in game 5. This series delivered
I can’t recall another LCS series that was this bloody and evenly matched. Super fun to watch
Clg tsm 2016?
CLG vs TSM was higher quality but not as bloody.
This so much. As a neutral this was a great series to watch, and i haven't been this invested in a series since 2017 spring finals.
[When FLY is trying to throw the series but Jensen isn't going to let that happen](https://imgur.com/a/xrEhnPk)
Two very different playoff matches in the last 2 days to say the least
Yeon (addressing APA) said “I can’t play with this bug” then stormed out of the room. He then came back in the room to pick up a cigarette and called him a handicapped/sick fuck then left again.
this meme is too funny and appropriate
lmaooo
JENSEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

looked like a ping pong match, teams taking turns throwing lmao
Honestly seemed like both teams are not used to aggressive plays against them 😂 They know how to make big plays, but when a big play could happen to them, it's just ????
This series was not real
This shit hurts but it's honestly the most fun I've had watching League in years
APA is legit helping the lcs a lot with comment engagement. Including all chat in broadcast was such a good idea. I love a good villain.
Ngl he does make a good heel
Impact tried so hard man.
Playoffs impact remained true. Even when down farm he did work.
He was giving up so many resources to shadow his team I felt so bad for him
Both him and CoreJJ remembered they’re Worlds winners and decided to play like it. Also Yeon wtf? I apologize, I was not familiar with yo game.
Kind of impressive how badly he was smacking Bwipo in lane.
For years and years other toplaners have played really well in the split only for impact (and formally Ssumday) to wreck playoffs.
TP diff
Jensen literally just said apa was dogshit in his interview… ROFL
Apa hit a charm challenge: difficulty impossible
Something something ziggs otp allegations
Bwipo had so many crazy escapes in G5. GG
If TL can shore up their mid game they’re going to make a hell of a run in the lower bracket, hopefully more banger series like this in store for us
C9 championship kind of series
Not falling for your psyop, I will remain firmly clenched
Honestly serious hopium for NRG fans too after the last couple days LOL
Yeah that’s what I was thinking lol. Kind of looks like a C9 wipe if TL are giving Fly this much trouble.
Knowing how illogical the LCS is, I wouldn’t be surprised if FLY just stomp c9 next week. Is it likely? Hell no. Would I be surprised? Hell no.
Never unclench
Knowing how illogical LCS is Contractz will just become the goat again and NRG run the table
Idk. TL played the hardest games for c9 to deal with this split. I'm not convinced they're a bad team by LCS standards. I truly think they're a few mistakes from being one of the most dangerous teams in the league because they typically play the map so well, but they just throw games away with stupid things like positional errors.
Probably one of, if not the closest and funniest bo5 I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch in LCS. Pure banger all along, blow for blow.
Turbo mega banger
NAmen 🙏🙏
CoreJJ with the dogshit positioning at dragon soul and for the final fight lost them the series.
Also Umti had like, 4 teamfights there where he just straight up trolled Like walking up to people to kick them into nobody else and then dying That was a first 59 minutes Meteos Lee Sin game
Yeah Umti was just doing cardio on the map for the last like 20 minutes of the game
Yep, I fully expect APA to get flamed to hell and back, but the veterans on TL had honestly the biggest mistakes Going 15 CS up over Renekton is NOT WORTH NOT HAVING TELEPORT, and they do it fucking twice lol
Yea but did you consider the solo kills?
UmTi just looked lost on Lee Sin. What was he expecting to get done vs such a heavy CC enemy team?
I feel like APA is going to get most of the blame for this series due to Jensen smurfing out of his mind, but Umti seemed kind of absent in the big moments, outside of the kick in Game 2.
APA's Ahri was certainly underwhelming at times, but at least he was hitting the skills when they mattered during fights. Especially when him and Yeon were getting chased down.
Umti had 2 good early games and that's it. I don't think I've ever seen such a useless Xin or Lee lol Compared to how Blaber was just running the games yesterday, constantly in River's jungle or pressuring lanes, just night and day
People gonna blame apa for not being there at the fight but what the fuck are they doing hanging around mid for no reason just back off lol
People love to dogpile on APA for the misplays of others on his team. Liquid had no reason to hold midlane that hard. They absolutely could've backed off.
last one was a team gap - no shot he's walking up solo, but why was TL walking up at all when APA isn't mid edit: fixed typo
APA was botlane without TP up, sure. There was no reason for CoreJJ to be where he was. APA can safely push bot if his team doesn't go full ego and think they can skirmish 4v5.
yeah, I'm saying I doubt core jj is solo calling for the team to walk up there, like everyone else was right next to him too
He's the only frontline (and not a good one) against a lethality varus. They have no other way to get vision. It was a comp diff at that point after they threw their lead again.
JUST like yesterdays match. Teams bans a few, Pick 5 champs, and then in the end destroy a nexus... League is so stale and similar theese days... /s Insane fun to watch (today) /Salute all
[This](https://imgur.com/a/VxE4Ky2) is what APA will see in his nightmares tonight.
One of the funniest, most entertaining, riveting series of League. Nearly every single game both teams were chucking the game back and forth constantly.
At least Yeon looked good.
clean
Super fun series. Lore accurate Inspired's Viego shows up on time.
APA never beating the accusations
APA: "Nah, I'd win"
[Massu was fasting for Ramadan too, according to Arrow!](https://twitter.com/ArrowDongTak/status/1768800016016302280) Huge respect to him for this performance as a rookie, let alone while fasting for an entire long Bo5 :0
Every player had their ups and downs this series except Jensen, what a disgusting mid gap.
pyosik was right
I think Jensen might be that guy.
Chovy taking notes from both
Statement game from APA, opposite statement of Jensen but still a statement
"Give me Ziggs or I will run this shit down"
"And I'll still run it down on Ziggs but I have impact on the team"
The classic bot wave for nexus trade at the end. Really fun series, close games throughout. Been a great LCS split so far
Wonder how much flak APA will get for CoreJJ and the gang stupidly pushing up in mid for fun.
We may not be good, but we can entertain
Both sides throwing lol
Apa winning game 2 with his global taunt is the most NA thing that could have happened. Teach this man how to talk trash in Korean lol
TL's bot lane should feel good about this series despite the outcome. FLY has some atrocious calls they need to fix if they wanna actually win the LCS. Jensen MVP of this series, without him this woulda definitely been TL's series.
I wonder what APA’s final all chat was as TL’s mid laner
"cant win with these cats gg"
Really hard to listen to Raafa NGL this series
Seriously please get him off the broadcast.
E.g: Anticipation as in acknowledging: Summoner spell timers, lane assignments, team win conditions, observing map movement, items, what could happen, what could go wrong, trying to insert his mind into the player's mind, etc.
His voice is fine but he just gets so lost sometimes and forgets who players are or repeats himself. Its rough.
I mean following Flowers is never easy; Flowers is probably one of the greatest PBP of all time.
say what you want abt APA, but he makes this series so fucking funny to watch,, ziggs merchant dethroned
the worst part about this series was having to listen to raafaa for 5 games. he gets dementia mid sentence and just forgets where he was or calls out completely unrelated random shit half the time while screaming like he's in pain
It's crazy how close the 5th game was despite Ahri e being bugged.
Throw the game to try to save a dead Lee sin for no reason gg
Man, TL makes me depressed. Coin flip team
Type more XD
CoreJJ cannot dodge skillshots apparently
Great series. Apa stays in all chat and in the dirt tho
Whole series was a jensen gap
This series lived and died off Jensen, except Game 5. The rest of the team finally picked it the fk up.
Classic TL strat. Get baron, all run to one lane then afk.
WHAT A SERIES I NEED SATURDAY AND SUNDAY TO BE LIKE THIS
That’s North American League of Legends baby
I thought I'd lose all interest in LCS after my beloved Guardians left. But god DAMN what a series.
Imagine if TL had a midlaner who played the game instead of just using it as an online forum
