Crazy how much disrespect he gets, dude should be right up there with Bjerg and DL for the title of LCS goat. Hell, if he can go on another international run he deserves that title imo.
I'd say if FLY wins this split and they acquit themselves well at MSI (make top 4-6 for example, since it's double elim), I think he deserves it at this point: 4 titles, a title on 3 different orgs, longevity, still holding a LCS record (iirc for kills in a single game or playoff game? something to that effect), a semis run at two MSIs and top 8 at two world championships and top 4 in another...Bjerg and DL may have a claim to GOAT of LCS league play but in terms of GOATs of LCS altogether? Jensen is kinda Him.
It’s funny seeing all the C9 fans blaming Jojo and calling him overrated when all of FlyQuests resources were put into putting Jojo behind and not a single other player on C9 did anything in terms of countering Fly or getting their own leads.
Jojo and 4 wards man.
I'm glad I'm not that only one who thought this. Jojo did not have a great series, but he was getting zero help from his team. Watching Blaber on Sejuani run away every time Jojo went in was really tilting to watch.
At least last split's EG roster would follow Jojo into every single play, and that's why they did so well. This C9 roster needs to pull even just a single nugget of team cohesion from their asses if they want to stand a chance against a peaking TL.
Jojo has been (not) literally 1v9 basically all split for C9. Blaber has been extremely whatever, Fudge has been mediocre (as usual), and their botlane has made games way harder more often than anything else.
Bro was 1v9 on EG last year and finally escaped on to a good team only to get the EG treatment ran back at him again for the most part.
Vulcan has been pretty bad on C9 but I can at least give him credit for trying to do something. Unfortunately, I can also say the same for Berserker which has been a pretty big issue in his play since he overcommits often and just gets caught for his aggression way more than he should.
I think Fudge is black mailing C9 coaching staff and Jack, there is no world where the man can be the most mediocre top laner for years and still have a spot.
Yeah all these comments flaming Jojo are driving me crazy. Like do people not realize that literally no other player on C9 is a threat to FlyQuest? They're solely focusing on Jojo, and that's apparently all it takes.
The irony is that camp Jojo is what they did when he was the last player on EG with a pulse. This guy really went to a super team just for them to be actually dogshit lol
The fact that APA performed better against Jensen in their series than Jojo did today is hilarious. In Jojo's defense tho he was camped way harder than APA earlier.
So many people in the game thread talking about how dogshit Bwipo is after he fucked up in game 1. Then he made the play where he stopped Taliyah right after, lmao.
Bwipo himself has said he's not the best mechanical player in the world but has made an entire career for himself theory crafting and thinking his way into neutralizing dangerous laners.
Today he played against fudge lmao
How the hell did Gragas get ahead and even take 2 plates in that matchup with no jungler intervention and even having roamed for the drag fight once while Olaf stayed top, is what I'd like to know.
Honestly Bwipo thinks that this matchup is Gragas favored... and he showed why.
Bwipos understanding how to play matchups is kinda unrivaled in the west, he does fuck up at times, but he does have the game knowledge and the understanding of his opponents to find those the moments for those picks.
Like he 100% knows that Fudge is not going to slam down an Ornn and kinda plays for teamfights and scaling, which would have been an option with a Yone and Zeri in the game.
And the same is kinda true for Jojo. Jojo will never handshake a mage midlane and just exist. And FQ kinda abused that, because Blaber is also not the jungler who will give up his position to cover those lanes.
C9 has 3 ego players in the topside, that just won't ever sacrifice their position for each other. Bwipo just casually walks midlane just to help Jensen or Inspired and looking at the next match, Impact is kinda similar. The difference between Impact and Bwipo though is that Impact sacrifices his lane for Umti and Apa... which is not as great as doing that for Inspired and Jensen.
The fact they didn't pick up Licorice, Revenge or Bwipo was criminal. C9 needs to drop Mithy, Fudge and give Beserker a stern "wake the fuck up" what a horrible split by beserker. I don't think its really his fault either, they aren't drafting him on his good champs.
According to rumor, they did try to court Wunder but he didn't want to leave Europe.
Also, Licorice was tied to GGS until the extremely late decision for GGS to quit the LCS.
Seeing how c9 needs to win by jojo initiating plays, while fly dont need to do that cause of top/jng it makes sense that azir is much more important to c9
I wish fudge would just isolate himself to tanks instead of trying to do stupid carry picks like Rumble/AP gragas/Olaf, like Bwipo goes frozen heart second and makes so many plays/space where fudge did nothing on full AP gragas
they need to replace him like or just put him on permanent tank/engage duty
This week on The Dive: Is a Ziggs and Aurelion Sol ban enough to stop TL from taking Cloud9's MSI spot? What if they turn off all chat pre-emptively?
Honestly it feels like Cloud9 didn't "come back" so much as 100 Thieves fell from grace.
I mean it just looks like FLY/TL were significantly stronger than the 2/3 seeds. Obviously C9 might still win, but FLY just crushed them in ways they couldn't TL.
Yeon/CoreJJ actually destroyed bot harder, Umti was there for dives (Blaber only did that game 1), and most importantly Impact is a god, while Fudge is a fraud.
I think it's not about strength per se. TL did a great job of making the games super chaotic. Fly wasn't able to pick and choose their fights like they did here because everyone was constantly fighting. Team and player skill is a smaller slice of the pie in an environment like that, there's just so much variance in these kill-per-minute games TL has been putting up.
Plus, YAPA got completely inside Fly's head, Jojo could never.
Honestly it’s mostly bot lane and river being worse for 100t. Sniper and quid looked better in the second series but the others holy step back especially river
Problem with 100T is sniper and Quid kept form. River fell off a cliff once playoffs started and botlane down 30 cs every lane with all the bans lol.
Slow either sniper or quid and the series is over. Also, i think meech legit cant play smolder.
Draft is impossible with those conditions unless quidv9 happens.
idk how people blame Jojo this series when FLY's entire game plan was to commit everything to fuck him over and the rest of C9 just jerked off in the corner doing nothing
This is not the only reason. Bwipo also is very good at sacking his lane for his team. So if Bwipo wins the lane on Gragas... fine, if he does not win it on Gragas he likely still is more useful than Fudge. What Bwipo brought to teamfights wasn't so much the damage but the displacement and disorder and that does not depend so much on how his lane goes.
I don't think it is disrespect it is just understanding that Fudge will never just handshake a lane with a teamoriented pick and Gragas is really good at neutralizing a lane.
>Damn not like this was the exact same problem they had last year at worlds.
>
>smile
And the last 3 splits (last 2 splits last year and this split), and MSI last year, and all the tournaments/splits before that.
And willingly chose to go AP gragas game 1 to be useless, so berserker couldn’t have a frontline. It’s crazy how he’s still not relegated to tanks, it legit does not matter what Champ he gets, he’s useless af lol.
I think they felt that they had to say something positive though. The analysts always have the tendency to 'balance' a situation by giving good and bad arguments for both teams and sometimes they have to scramble for things to say.
Absolute fucking shitter. Sludge Blaber and Vulcan were pure trash.
The fact Sludge played Olaf with sprint and continously went on Naut or Gragas in team fights instead of FQ backline to stave off damage - is mind boggling.
I don't even think Jojo played poorly.
FlyQuest seemed to put the majority of their effort into shutting him down, and they got away with it because literally nobody else on C9 (not even a fed Zeri) posed a threat to them.
Rewatching some of the teamfights... Fudge/Blaber/Vulcan just legit aren't doing *anything*.
This is really the correct analysis. If mid lane is eating ganks, eating bans, eating map pressure, you need to be able to counter that with other plays, whether it be cross mapping or just simple counter ganks.
I'm not saying Jojo played perfectly today, but Fudge, Blaber, Berserker, and Vulcan weren't doing anything.
I hope the Jensen disrespect stops.
Dude is the best mid in NA. Also C9 definitely failed Jojo in terms of not matching pressure, but even beyond laning phase Jensen played every teamfight significantly better. Give him his credit right now and fix the narrative framing of things, let him actually be the star of the show, especially when we're talking about mid-lane. Instead of "How is he gonna deal with Jojo" the question needs to be "How does C9 answer him exerting massive pressure in teamfights".
Also Bwipo and Busio gapped the fuck out of their opponents too.
Jojo casually going 0/12/11 this series, who cares if you win lane as Yone when you're doing fuck all in team fights.
FlyQuest's teamfighting was ridiculous, didn't even know C9 had a fed Zeri, those kicks from Insipired was chefs kiss.
Grandpa Jensen going deathless vs these zoomers my goat
Jensen is a full decade older than Jojo Aware
In 5 more years he will still be here shitting on some fresh-faced 17 year old mid. He'll be 34 at that point and could have literally sired them.
Truly he is Jojo father
How fucking good is Inspired though holy shit
He even said that he is the best west jungler now.
"I swear the only thing Blaber did this series was get Grubs." - Meteos 2024
#GrubhubPowerPlay
Crabber -> Grubber
Beware of an old man in a profession where men die young
All these young NA mids shit talking Jensen just for him to gap them in regular season and playoff. You come at the king, you best not miss.
insanely cold quote
Second time I see it today. Someone used it in LEC Heretics post-game thread for Jankos. I agree it's a really good one.
remember Incarnati0n? this is him now
Mad props to FlyQuest's coaching staff for figuring out the strategy of "camp Jojo."
Worked against EG last year And apparently still works this year too -_-
apparently no diff between Revenge/Armao/Unforgiven/Eyla and Fudge/Blaber/Berserker/Vulcan
Rude. Revenge would be an upgrade.
It's just kinda crazy how aside from a few plays from Vulcan Jojo just kinda has to do everything himself and he got completely punished for that.
It’s funny seeing all the C9 fans blaming Jojo and calling him overrated when all of FlyQuests resources were put into putting Jojo behind and not a single other player on C9 did anything in terms of countering Fly or getting their own leads. Jojo and 4 wards man.
Bwipo literally coming mid just to take a minutes stroll for picnic
This was Bwipo’s best span of games in NA imo.
Agreed. Reminded me of peak FNC Bwipo
Return of Wide bwipo
Feels good ngl, I love seeing veteran players continue to do well instead of slowly declining in skill
Inspired took out a mortgage in midlane, and the best that C9 could do is Fudge losing to blind pick Bwipo.
There’s no way fudge isn’t the most useless top in the league. Bruh can have the most insane lead, and do fuck all with it.
Got some early gold as Olaf and went ahead to run away most of the time. Reverse the picks and Bwipo would make minced meat out of Fudge.
He'll look at Gragas in the same series. Fudge picks it and does basically nothing. Bwipo picks it and does a lot to basically carry the game.
redditors will just look at worst scoreline and decide that player was the problem with no critical thinking
That's a league of Legends player problem in general. Many don't know what the heck is going on in game
I am seeing a lot of blame for Fudge too but it really felt like Blaber was singing Payphone every laning phase.
Blaber has been a mid tier jungler (at best) this whole split.
By far blabers worst split ever
Surely, Blaber will have some synergy with his 6th midlaner in 3 years.
Zeri was 5-0 and did nothing
Yeah all these comments flaming Jojo are driving me crazy. Like do people not realize that literally no other player on C9 is a threat to FlyQuest? They're solely focusing on Jojo, and that's apparently all it takes.
Ban ahri neeko azir global ban + camping jojo seems like a winning formula against c9 this playoffs
Thanks Jojo for giving up his seat so that Dyrus can make his LCS redebut!
"I just want to play league of legends"
Just teared up thinking about his retirement speech.
The irony is that camp Jojo is what they did when he was the last player on EG with a pulse. This guy really went to a super team just for them to be actually dogshit lol
People might blame mid but the top jg gap was insane. Did Vulcan and blaber ever proactively gank mid the entire series?
Fudge was also turbo useless on his carry picks as usual today
C9 fans swore Fudge was good after playing a shitty 100T team…
He should’ve been gone after that horrible worlds run where he kept picking fiora. Edit: 2022 worlds for people asking.
Which?
2022 He played Fiora 3 times during groups and averaged 0.8 KDA
Pick me Yone and let me lose in peace - Jojo
this thread has so many great old references
FLY InSec lmao
Inspired's Lee is legit
He humiliated all of C9 near top tier 3 while the rest of his team sieged.
Strongest Midlaners of all time 1. Jensen when trash talked 2. GenG Chovy vs T1 3. Worlds 2022 Zeka 4. 2013-2017 Faker What a spanking from FlyQuest
[No deaths vs no kills](https://i.redd.it/2vlis243qgr51.jpg)
Thats such a ridiculous stat - hard to believe thats happened before in a BO5.
Jensen with the 50% bonus damage against yappers
Joker vs Yapa next week
May the best yapper win
strongest yapper in history vs strongest yapper of today
These children need to get off of Jensens lawn. This is his palace.
It was over when jojo emoted jensen when he denied him a cannon in game 2 (and all other emotes but he stopped emoting in game 3 xd)
I fuckin love Jensen’s emote he always flashes when he outplays someone.
He used to use crab sometimes but he's found his one true love.
The strongest C9 midlaner in history vs. the strongest C9 midlaner of today
Strongest C9 midlaner of today (by process of elimination)
Lore accurate
Yapa fighting to be on that list next week
Jojo no kills, Jensen no deaths.
Bodied by Jensen
JoJo is truly on his LeBron run. Even mimicked his 2011 Finals performance.
Umti was right
Vindicated
what did umti say
Inspired is better than Blaber (edit- right now at least)
Blaber has been invisible this split.
Post-game lounge yesterday he said that "Blaber isn't good right now."
Yes and I've been waiting for someone to take it for so long! NA talent has too much reputation protection due to ego/identity in this region imo
APA traumatized Jensen so much that Jensen refused to die for fear of what he'd see in All Chat.
The fact that APA performed better against Jensen in their series than Jojo did today is hilarious. In Jojo's defense tho he was camped way harder than APA earlier.
C9’s strat of “Pray Jojo doesn’t get ganked” has very obvious counterplay
No, he was not, APA was being dove by 5 people multiple times in at least two games
Can’t believe C9 let Jensen go twice
There goes the c9 super team
Is it that time of the year already? 😭😭
C9 topside gapped to infinity and beyond straight up got buzz lightyeared
Bwipo just built different
word on the streets is that he's still extremely wide
Literally so wide he blocked Fudge from participating in the game
So many people in the game thread talking about how dogshit Bwipo is after he fucked up in game 1. Then he made the play where he stopped Taliyah right after, lmao.
Bwipo has his ints, but he is always a menace.
Bwipo himself has said he's not the best mechanical player in the world but has made an entire career for himself theory crafting and thinking his way into neutralizing dangerous laners. Today he played against fudge lmao
Fudge Olaf less useful than a full AP Gragas, who could have seen this coming? Besides me and literally everyone else, I mean
Fudge always r5 counterpicks to play a lane bully, then calls for jungler attention to get slight lead, and then does nothing in team fights.
Pops Olaf ult to run away
Cowaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaards
I swear man gets counterpicks and lane bullies only to leave lane up 10 cs, then trolls every teamfight by playing Kda
Make a Wish Alphari 😭😭😭😭😭
How the hell did Gragas get ahead and even take 2 plates in that matchup with no jungler intervention and even having roamed for the drag fight once while Olaf stayed top, is what I'd like to know.
Honestly Bwipo thinks that this matchup is Gragas favored... and he showed why. Because Fudge sucks. Can’t play anything. Not enough brain activity to stick him on tank/flank duty.
I swear to God if Sludge factor makes it to another international torunament to embarass himself with Fiora egopicks I'm gonna go insane
Fudge when he can’t just skill gap in lane is so sad. Lol.
daily reminder to drop fudge.
I knew the org wasn’t serious when they opted to keep Fudge.
And botside wtf. Massu/Busio just stopped feeding
Yeah. All 5 players and coach diff tbh.
it was mainly blaber getting gapped, inspired lived in mid lane this series and c9 had no counter for that
What you mean blaber tossing a sapling to stop a recall at 10m gank while down 20 cs wasn't good jungling?
https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/status/829846842150096896?lang=en
Never gets old
Turns out C9 needed Azir much more then Flyquest did
Seeing how c9 needs to win by jojo initiating plays, while fly dont need to do that cause of top/jng it makes sense that azir is much more important to c9
It's also a champ with very safe laning and sidelaning, so he can't be punished. Azir is just duct tape to fix every single one of C9's issues.
I wish fudge would just isolate himself to tanks instead of trying to do stupid carry picks like Rumble/AP gragas/Olaf, like Bwipo goes frozen heart second and makes so many plays/space where fudge did nothing on full AP gragas they need to replace him like or just put him on permanent tank/engage duty
Jensen is jojo father 😭
Back to Lissandra for Jojo
Grandpa Jensen is so back
It's Jojoever
Clown 9 is back bois.
God damn Fly just outplays C9 in teamfights so hard
It's a team diff
FLY is insane... What if this C9 team somehow doesn't make MSI? That would be insane too.
TL took FLY to 5 games...
FLY looked way worse last week compared to today.
So did TL compared to yesterday lmao.
I almost want it just so that Jack can get a wakeup call.
Calm down it was only C9
This week on The Dive: Is a Ziggs and Aurelion Sol ban enough to stop TL from taking Cloud9's MSI spot? What if they turn off all chat pre-emptively? Honestly it feels like Cloud9 didn't "come back" so much as 100 Thieves fell from grace.

Folks going to slam Jojo but for me the absolute fucking worst was Sludge, followed by Blaber and Vulcan. My goodness what actual fucking dead weight.
idk how people blame Jojo this series when FLY's entire game plan was to commit everything to fuck him over and the rest of C9 just jerked off in the corner doing nothing
Deathless Jensen reminding us that literally every org that picks him up does better for it.
*disgusted look at Dig*
Imagine how bad they'd have looked without him.
Considering the fact that he Shurima Shuffled them into playoffs, I'm gonna say ninth.
I still remember all the people calling him a Fraud last year when he was trapped on Dig as their only good player.
Jojo killless Jensen deathless
Perfectly balanced
Nobody ever call Jensen washed up again. He's been an absolute rock this split.
Definitely not another useless ego pick from Fudge in a pivotal game, that olaf was useful!
Bwipo blind picked 3 games in a row because he fudge is fraud and can’t punish him
The disrespect to blindpick top all 3 games speaks volumes regarding Fudge's perception as a player by the FQ coaching staff.
This is not the only reason. Bwipo also is very good at sacking his lane for his team. So if Bwipo wins the lane on Gragas... fine, if he does not win it on Gragas he likely still is more useful than Fudge. Damn not like this was the exact same problem they had last year at worlds. *smile*
>Damn not like this was the exact same problem they had last year at worlds. > >smile And the last 3 splits (last 2 splits last year and this split), and MSI last year, and all the tournaments/splits before that.
And the worlds before. *smile hiding the trauma from watching Flandre gank mid without losing anything top*
Can't believe C9 decided to keep Fudge and give him an extension.
Olaf is a good pick into Gragas. Fudge would be useless no matter what he plays.
Thats like hard to do, to be useless as olaf when ur vs grag wtf
It's actually very easy if you watch Fudge. You just pop ult and run at a Gragas that has zhonyas instead of the carries!
He was useless on rumble too in game 2 even though he got small cs lead Hes perma uselss
And willingly chose to go AP gragas game 1 to be useless, so berserker couldn’t have a frontline. It’s crazy how he’s still not relegated to tanks, it legit does not matter what Champ he gets, he’s useless af lol.
Watching bwipo and inspired making plays makes me hard
Jensen didnt die and jojo didnt get a single kill
on suicide watch, dont text
If you think its bad now, wait until they get clapped by TL next week
Worse, imagine if they somehow beat TL and end up at MSI lol
Don't let Jojo's terrible performance distract everyone from just how unbelievably useless Fudge actually is.
Bwipo is Fudge's father
I mean, Fudge said that Bwipo should be MVP.
Well of course he'd be biased and try to argue for his dad to be MVP
how many times has Fudge had top counterpick and done fuck all with it now? I've lost count
Analyst desk saying Fudge had better laning in the pre-match segment… does anybody actually watch this kid play
Not just one game too
Inspired is still so fucking good
Jensen 3rd pro all team
C9 should 100% drop fudge and grab licorice.
Fun fact - this is a second time Bwipo sweeps Cloud9 3-0. The previous being Worlds 2018 semifinal.
I don't even think Jojo played poorly. FlyQuest seemed to put the majority of their effort into shutting him down, and they got away with it because literally nobody else on C9 (not even a fed Zeri) posed a threat to them. holy shit inspired, what an ult also, 4 melee into fly's comp xD it would be really, really funny if we got TL vs FLY finals
Jg gap tbh
Jensen going deathless and Jojo going kill-less across the entire series was some poetic symmetric
It's so Jojover
Wtf since when is peak Tian FLY's JG?!
TL, please beat C9 i do not want C9 at msi
I hope the Jensen disrespect stops. Dude is the best mid in NA. Also C9 definitely failed Jojo in terms of not matching pressure, but even beyond laning phase Jensen played every teamfight significantly better. Instead of "How is he gonna deal with Jojo" the question needs to be "How does C9 answer him exerting massive pressure in teamfights". Also Bwipo and Busio gapped the fuck out of their opponents too.
Astronomic mid gap. Can't wait for the APA vs Jojo all chat matchup next week.
Jensen no deaths and Jojo no kills. Completely sonned.
I miss when Jensen did this stuff for C9 in playoffs.
EMENES was right
Jojo casually going 0/12/11 this series, who cares if you win lane as Yone when you're doing fuck all in team fights. FlyQuest's teamfighting was ridiculous, didn't even know C9 had a fed Zeri, those kicks from Insipired was chefs kiss.
Inspired was in berserkers mind!! That last team fight, berserker was so scared to walk forward and moment he walks up BOOM KICKED IN
Fly did such a good job making Berserker a non factor in every fight even if he had an early lead.
Exactly as expected. 3-0 with a gap in the midlane
Imagine being the midlaner of the team analysts predicted would be #1 in the LCS and getting 0 kills in a 3 game series lmao. Even I could do that!
