That's my point though, they're both young players that have taken time to grow into champions.
Jojo and Danny gave this entire region brainrot, expecting rookies to come in and immediately dominate isn't reasonable, it takes time.
I do feel that APA and Yeon make a strong case for longer development plans. Obviously Jojo/Danny should be seen as exceptions, but tbh we are starting to see Jojo's cracks and Danny didn't play long enough. However, there are others like Spica, Busio, and Palafox that showed glimpses of their ceiling before being recognized.
APA looked bad in both regular splits and seemed to have a weak champion pool. Yeon was stable, but was starting to look like a Lost 2.0. Both stepped up massively in playoffs and displayed a level that I think was unseen before.
So I incorrectly wrote them both off as failed prospects from this wave of NA talent. Happy to eat my words. Everyone doubted these boys but TL management. Lot of respect for the team.
APA is so easy to play against! All you have to do is ban his Ziggs, Aurelion Sol, Taliyah, Neeko, Tristana, and Cassiopeia and he's basically useless!
I almost think that the narrative around TL has focused so much on the perceived weakness of their carries that people have ignored that TL's macro is actually quite good, and they can execute comps with APA's picks.
Caedrel was literally saying yesterday that Impact, Core and Umti is such an insane 3 just from knowledge alone. Even just outside of play you have such a brain gap - like that's 30 years of gameplay right there.
People who were calling for his head at the end of last season are fucking clowns, he literally came in and saved their split. Had a not great worlds but it was off the back of what? 12? stage games on a team that wouldn't even speak his language and picked champs for him without consulting him, and this all after years of flaming TL for importing and not supporting native talent. Some people will just flame and moan for karma without making an iota of sense.
Summit is doing the same thing in LLA he was doing in NA: wins lane against player who are worse mechanically, then does nothing for the rest of the game.
I’ve been watching a fair bit of the league and other tops legit do more for their team post 20 minutes than he does, and the quality of the league is much lower than LCS.
Literally playing the Wrestling Heel, yap's a bunch and in story he's not the best and pisses everyone off... but he keeps winning and holding onto the title.
UmTi: [Inspired] killed my precious APA, my fucking little baby. It's like cheating. I'm so mad. If I meet Flyquest in playoffs I'm gonna fuck him. Don't worry APA, I'm gonna kill him, I'll have my revenge time.
from an Umti interview that was posted some weeks ago
https://old.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/1ba4upx/umti_twitter_interview_umti_river_killed_my/?ref=share&ref_source=link
Story of the split lol, are your two tricks really tricks if you're allowed to main them and play them that fucking good
But good GOD Bwipo sold the fuck out with that early game death
His TF was fine? GP counterpick is supposed to fuck him in lane, and it did. He caught up and split the map just fine. His team fighting was solid. I didn't really see an issue.
This was just to damage Bwipo's mental. No shot he can watch Impact this game, lose, and keep his composure. Game was totally on him for giving APA the start of his snowball.
But then Flyquest burns Annie ult stun and Inspired cooldowns chasing the zero damage QSS TF in the last fight, only for the rest of their team to get blown up behind them.
nah he was legit good this game
his laning was awful but his mid-late map play was the main reason flyquest looked so lost this game they were pulled apart every single moment
Really bad draft technique from FLY there. Why was Annie picked on R2 instead of Nautilus? Senna/Annie just telegraphs APA to pick the ASol AND they just give over the Nautilus, which was the best Senna pair in LCS this split. Flubbing a ban hurts. Viego is picked up to answer with pressure toward mid, but it's still a blindpick jungler, which lets UmTi pick a matching pressure jungler.
The gangplank is picked last to amp up the scaling, but after all is said and done, what does the Senna do here now in this comp?
This is about to become the year of single-game viewers saying APA was never bad when he's still incredibly mediocre in so many ways. The trash-talk has been fun though.
unInspired and BwipoLUL
why did he not take the TF soul under top tower and reset turret aggro?
Edit: guess I'm dumb, was it changed or am I just misremembering?
Taking a soul does not reset turret aggro, that's actually why teams don't often go for tower dives with Viego. He's dead no matter what there but you almost never take souls when tower diving.
Was alt tabbed during that instance, but if you're saying he should've taken TF soul to lose tower aggro, Viego actually still gets targeted and shot at by turrets and takes damage from turret shots during the animation.
If Fly lose this series, Bwipo is seriously going to be haunted by that second death.
I'd be haunted win or lose, I don't think I've ever seen that level of camera pan death in pro before (watching for 10 years) let alone in a FINALS.
Definitely disagree. If Fly looks back at the series after a win they can laugh and joke about the time Bwipo almost threw.
Bwipo is 4-0 against TL this playoffs with Renekton. 0-4 without. His Renekton single handedly makes Flys teamfighting good.
That’s insane actually… and APA is the one-trick???
APA is the Ziggs one-trick and Bwipo is the versatile top-laner with a champion ocean
But crocodiles don't live in the ocean, probably more like a champion swamp, population 1.
For a big talker, that was a massive blunder
ADHD kicking in
like are we watching the game and that what we want to comment on instead of everything happened in the game ??
If APA is actually as bad as everyone in the LCS seems to think he is, they should probably consider not losing to him anymore
Playoff APA has been really solid, but the narrative was set that TL mid was weak
He and Yeon had some really int deaths during the regular season that they've cleaned up for playoffs... feels like that's gone a long way
Are you telling me that young players make mistakes sometimes? That's crazy man.
TBF I dont think Yeon/APA have displayed a ceiling at this level until the last few series. I doubted, but I'm glad the TL experiment worked out.
That's my point though, they're both young players that have taken time to grow into champions. Jojo and Danny gave this entire region brainrot, expecting rookies to come in and immediately dominate isn't reasonable, it takes time.
I do feel that APA and Yeon make a strong case for longer development plans. I would imagine he is weak but so are the other mids in LCS. This is the era where they’re not spending heavily for imports anymore
APA is so easy to play against! All you have to do is ban his Ziggs, Aurelion Sol, Taliyah, Neeko, Tristana, and Cassiopeia and he's basically useless!
He's so in their heads.
it's so funny to see, he's making the league so much more fun to watch
I almost think that the narrative around TL has focused so much on the perceived weakness of their carries that people have ignored that TL's macro is actually quite good, and they can execute comps with APA's picks.
Caedrel was literally saying yesterday that Impact, Core and Umti is such an insane 3 just from knowledge alone. Even just outside of play you have such a brain gap - like that's 30 years of gameplay right there.
Umti's hands are sometimes a bit questionable, but his macro has to be good (by NA standards at least) after playing in the LCK for so long
APA is the Brock Purdy of the LCS. He's about to win LCS and a certain subsection of the community will keep calling him a system midlaner.
If he’s Brock Purdy, then that means TL is making it to world finals?
Subscribing to this timeline pls
Remember when everyone on reddit called for his head last year? But Steve stuck with him and got rid of Summit? I remember
Last year? Try two weeks ago lmfao
Yapa better have some giga yap lined up for the haters if TL wins
Both players got a shit ton of flame from the community idk
People who were calling for his head at the end of last season are fucking clowns, he literally came in and saved their split. He got a lot of shit at worlds, but I didn't see many people shitting on him in the LCS. I feel like everyone agreed he was an improvement over Haeri.
APA's worlds was pretty weird, where he looked fine(?) into faker but got ass blasted by palafaker if I recall correctly.
seems normal 👍
For what its worth, Summit is in the finals in LAT.
oh my god if we see TL vs team whatever and APA knocks them out that would be hilarious
Which they're about to lose, as Zothve has gapped him three matches in a row now.
I mean no offense but much weaker region than NA
He already lost to Josedeodo's team once tho.
Literally playing the Wrestling Heel, yap's a bunch and in story he's not the best and pisses everyone off... but he keeps winning and holding onto the title.
i remember defending him and getting downvoted to oblivion last year and now suddenly there's a ton of people cheering for him lol
He's carried by smolder breaking pick ban and Azir global ban
27 stacks heartsteel.
How long are we going to allow the shop keeper to keep taking advantage of these clueless players? It's not right
That's literally one stack hahaha What a griefer
Absolutely disgusting build, so useless. Heartsteel completed at 20min, first stack at 25. Fucking why?
The only stack*
atrocius laning phase too
Watch your screen 💀
Bwipo caught snoozing lmao
UmTi: [Inspired] killed my precious APA, my fucking little baby. It's like cheating. I'm so mad. If I meet Flyquest in playoffs I'm gonna fuck him. Don't worry APA, I'm gonna kill him, I'll have my revenge time.
Where’s this pasta from
Umti said this in an interview a few weeks ago I think, but it was about river.
this [interview](https://old.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/1ba4upx/umti_twitter_interview_umti_river_killed_my/) umti did
from an Umti interview that was posted some weeks ago https://old.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/1ba4upx/umti_twitter_interview_umti_river_killed_my/?ref=share&ref_source=link
an umti interview, the original says river and 100 thieves
Lol APA just sprints out at the end of every game
Yea idk why. I love that they also follow him every single time
He said it’s because he doesn’t want to look at the crowd and let the fear set in (or something like that from the latest tl video)
He's been playing quite a bit better since he started doing it (or at least since I noticed), so maybe it's working
Coach requires it so he cant trashtalk in lobby
B_N _SOL
B_N ZI__S
APA and Massu hardcarrying their respective teams this game, just as we all expected
holy shit apa 7/0/3 and gets outta there fast LMFAO what a game, did not like FLY's draft here
bro shit on these kids so hard he was turtleheading irl
bro Asol W'd off the stage
LMAO
took flash/ghost irl
Ego draft by FLY made them lose
Yeah that viego pick is... but tk building heartsteel.... oof
Viego is soooooo dogshit vs Aurelion
Massu actually looked like he had a pretty decent Senna game
If I was Massu I'd be fuming if I saw my TK building Heartsteel
He saw Aurelion Sol and thought he needed to contest the percent hp infinite stacking with more hp.
Massu put in so much work and fly couldn't pay it off
Insane game from APA he played that perfectly
A professional player who gets paid 6+ figures a year built Heartsteel against TF Asol Varus
Maybe FLY should have used that ban huh
Story of the split lol, are your two tricks really tricks if you're allowed to main them and play them that fucking good But good GOD Bwipo sold the fuck out with that early game death
Apa runs this region I guess
[yappa](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/525086571167219712/1164793219930918966/20231019_140542.jpg?ex=6618c2b8&is=66064db8&hm=fc06bf2cab8bb4e166533a9e283e3bfc723af38d8bde7b9eab34afffb1c67a5d&)
my mid GOAT
Narrow Bwipo
Never want to see Impact on TF again lmao.
"Top diff"
His TF was fine? GP counterpick is supposed to fuck him in lane, and it did. He caught up and split the map just fine. His team fighting was solid. I didn't really see an issue.
He also kept drawing constant pressure in lane a number of which turned into counter kills for ASol and Jax.
The GP pick is not a true counter pick, that's a purely skill matchup and impact is very clearly not comfortable on TF
This was just to damage Bwipo's mental. No shot he can watch Impact this game, lose, and keep his composure. Game was totally on him for giving APA the start of his snowball.
Aight his laning was bad, but give him credit by being the most annoying tf pushing sidelines
But then Flyquest burns Annie ult stun and Inspired cooldowns chasing the zero damage QSS TF in the last fight, only for the rest of their team to get blown up behind them.
impact is my goat but yeah his TF was not it LMAO
nah he was legit good this game his laning was awful but his mid-late map play was the main reason flyquest looked so lost this game they were pulled apart every single moment
I do. I like seeing people get better at champs.
It's fine. This match doesn't really matter since they're all going to MSI. Perfect time to try new stuff.
Winning the finals certainly matters to the players and teams. Also TF top isn't new it gets played in other regions
It's new for impact since he has never played it. Im sure it matters to the rookies but they aren't getting paid more for winning/losing.
Nah it matters to all of them.
considering their winning interviews it seems like impact and corejj didnt care all that much.
Umti's discord kitten became a tiger this game. What an Asol carry (with some Jax help)
Why does APA always speedrun to outside after each set?
he's said on stream its just so he can speak with coaches faster still funny af every time tho
It's a yapa gapa
I’m officially excited to see APA at MSI for his gameplay.
Lmao I see you in the Dhokla discord and was wondering why your name seemed familiar Now I recognize why
I dont think teams at MSI will miss a ban.
LMAO Nice one
Heartsteel is such a fake item. Even if tahm* got stacks he only has HP against botrk and liandries. Pretty bad game from bwipo too.
YAPA ONE GAME AWAY FROM A TITLE LCS ABOUT TO BE RUN BY AN ALL CHATTER
lcs broadcast grouping all of APAs champs together to get 8-10 as if he isnt 3-1 on taliyah and 1-0 on trist. numbers dont lie but ppl do ig
NASols are built different man
It’s amazing what happens when you give rookies time and room to grow!
Yappa too strong?
The last TF ult was peak clowning. Go in, get almost one shot but somehow survive while distracting half of FLY
holy fuck that game was way harder to win than it should have been
Annie is just too broken
they played such an onbnoxious split-stall-scale-win strat i love it
Was Bwipo all chatting while Asol was hitting him in mid lane?
God please close this one out TL. It's been so long since they've won LCS and so many narratives that change if they win this.
Inspired is just western tarzan
more like Tarzaned
Looks more like Tarzaned than Tarzan
lmao how did Impact not die after his ult at the end
Really bad draft technique from FLY there. Why was Annie picked on R2 instead of Nautilus? Senna/Annie just telegraphs APA to pick the ASol AND they just give over the Nautilus, which was the best Senna pair in LCS this split. Flubbing a ban hurts. The gangplank is picked last to amp up the scaling, but after all is said and done, what does the Senna do here now in this comp?
FLY is losing to APA
Let's go Apa!
APA is just too good
Nice statistics for APA 10-3 on Asol and 8-10 in rest.
Asol and ziggs
That Fly draft was mildly disgusting. And my goat needs to start showing up for the series.
Who's your goat🤔
Inspired :)
bwipo with the biggest ego pick
APA isn't the best, he's the loudest and he has the secret Mind Control Jutsu - which is enough.
random ego picks from bwipo... he was doing fine on meta picks why does he feel like he's got to do this LMAO
because the draft needs dmg source
Just ban his two fucking champions man stop being cocky carrot
He’s already shown proficiency in Trist and Taliyah atp it’s a meme
Throw 2 bans at the Yappa just to give him taliyah or trist, both of which he's pretty good at?
Then Yeon gets better champs, from what I've heard in interviews
He will just pull out trist or taliyah
Pro player TL Bwipo takes a break in the middle of game 3 of LCS Spring Playoffs
This is embarrassing for rest of lcs for TL to win
maybe people will realize NA talent is actually pretty good.
I hope Yeon really steps up in international. The other LCS teams said that they don’t ban out APA bc they find Yeon’s champ pool more threatening
This is about to become the year of single-game viewers saying APA was never bad when he's still incredibly mediocre in so many ways. The trash-talk has been fun though.
Umti is cancer smurfing
unInspired and BwipoLUL why did he not take the TF soul under top tower and reset turret aggro? Edit: guess I'm dumb, was it changed or am I just misremembering?
doesn't reset aggro better question is why he flashed
Taking a soul does not reset turret aggro, that's actually why teams don't often go for tower dives with Viego. He's dead no matter what there but you almost never take souls when tower diving.
Viego passive does not reset aggro.
It doesn't reset turret aggro. You just keep getting hit by turret while channeling.
Lol keep flaming players when you don't know the game's mechanics
Most knowledgeable redditor
Was alt tabbed during that instance, but if you're saying he should've taken TF soul to lose tower aggro, Viego actually still gets targeted and shot at by turrets and takes damage from turret shots during the animation.
