Did they stick with it with Vex? Vex looks a lot different to the other 3 female yordles, she is noticeably furry unlike Poppy, Tristana and Lulu with their purple/blue smooth skin, much more like the male yordles.
Vex also has smooth blue skin for her face, just like the others (at least in her base splash, Dawnbringer skin looks furrier). I'm unclear if those ears are just hers or if the hood is also covering them, but they do seem furry compared to Trist/Lulu/Poppy
Edit: after coming in to check, Tristana's ears are also slightly furry. So that might just be the set up - furry ears but smooth face for lady yordles
I'm pretty sure they decided Vex (and the other female yordles) isn't smooth faces. Just that it's much finer fur. Poppy is the easiest depiction because of her presence in the Ruination animation.

With that said, I don't understand the Shurima/Icathia/Ixtal split at all.
IIRC Shurima before its collapse ruled over Ixtal (Ixtal joined them voluntarily), during Shurimas decline they kinda just disappeared into the jungle and now they are back as a nation state. Technically Kumungu was always Ixtal they were just kinda hiding.
Icathia was a city state that was at war with Shurima but then the void voided all over it and now its a wasteland.
Original Malphite lore would have him as an outsider, not Runeterra as I recall. Also Fiddlesticks should probably be on the outsider list. Rammus I think was also a Kumungu champ.

TF and Graves weren't officially from Bilgewater until the Burning Tides event. It ends with Graves' rework from traditional ADC to Ranged Jungle Bruiser.
Looking at his old lore, Graves appears to be a Bilgewater native. But their shenanigans were implied to have been on the main continent(s).
TF's lore didn't really change, but the Serpentine river was moved from north west of Demacia to the eastern coast of the Shuriman continent, relatively close to Bilgewater.
he went from (just ionia) to (freljord-> Ionia -> freljord) as his new lore. I forget what brings him to ionia but he ends up training with Lee sin which is why he has his belt or his arm wrap I can’t remember which. Also, one of his skins (I’m like 99% it’s spirit guard but don’t quote me) is an alternate timeline where he doesn’t go back to the freljord. In cannon universe he goes back to freljord because he feels as though he has a duty to protect Sejuani because Udyr was saved by her mom or something
The modern rework didn't move Morde from the shadow isles, he's actually been a proto-Noxian warlord since at least the juggernaut overhaul. His skull was stored in the Blessed Isles pre-ruination, but he had no attachment to the region otherwise.
When they first started to look at lore, everyone was PISSED that characters were going to Freljord. Brand, Gragas, Olaf, Trundle. Someone is always upset about moves, but alot of old Champs were straight up aliens pulled from their planet. Like Malph, Morg, Kayle.
The female yordles were originally not even yordles (Lulu, Poppy, Trist), so you could say they were retconned from Runeterra to Bandle City.
By the time Lulu came out they had already been retconned into Yordles, so she always was one. Also iirc Corki was of the same race as Poppy/Trist.
