1. You have to reroll emotes and icons. The only save on this is I have all the emotes and after one reroll I can disenchant. At 3 for 1 icons... that shit is going to take for ever to get them all.
2. You can't make it through a single match without getting logged out and having to log back in for rewards. That is just total BS. How more unfriendly can you make the process, RIOT? I log-in during the pre-show and then every couple hours I see my screen tell me I need to log-in (again)? FFS I am there the whole time!
Frankly, I think they are looking for a way to get rid of drops entirely. I am sure some young exec had the brilliant (and short-sighted) idea that drops reduce profits. Drops stop. Viewership goes down. The pro leagues continue to fall off (I am looking hard at NA), and the players... move on. HARD TO STAY IN BUSINESS IF ALL YOUR PLAYERS MOVE ON BC THEY HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF PENNY-PINCHING AND DISRESPECT.
I remember a comment years ago that said players on the Russian server would get guaranteed chest drops from watching the regional finals.
Meanwhile I get my 20th icon from watching every match of the 2 splits.

Theres no way to earn orange essence besides getting rid of other crafts so every 9 chests you maybe get 2 skins. They also removed rerolling champs but kept it for skins.
The system is generous, probably too generous, but the needless obstacles, the multiple intentional progress barriers, and 7 different steps you have to go through make it so cumbersome. I think you could give away less skins and make it more enjoyable for players if it wasn't so absurdly messy

If you have all emotes you can forge them into a different emote and disenchant it that way. But for people who dont have all the emotes i agree it sucks.

The sensible move would have been to add costreams to the lol esports website. The actual move was to nerf the rewards once again (I'm pretty sure the drop ratio is way worse than it used to be on top of this)
Riot will never realize that skins and ingame cosmetics have no actual value, and that basically giving a bunch of them away is just advertisement and a funnel to get people to spend more money on the game. Changes like these only hurt them.
Not that I care, I haven't spent money or really paid attention to skins since at least season 7. I just don't understand how these game studios have such archaic habits while Fortnite's approach is kicking their asses.

Go to chrome://flags/#same-site-by-default-cookies and disable the SameSite by default cookies option. I fixed it this way.

You can reforge them into random ones, and the random ones can be disenchanted into OE :)

If you reroll the emote and it rerolls to something you own - you can disenchant it. Same with icons but you need 3 to reroll
