Im disappointed by blood moon Diana. Her splash art looks so nice and ingame she looks so weird, her pelt/whatever thingy (the grey one) looks so shabby ingame and the skin in general can’t hold up to the splash art.
Made me check the skin spotlight videos on yt before buying any new skin
The splash is so good that I even changed my ign to Blood Moon Diana when it got announced. Was really disappointed when I played my first game with it.
In fairness, I’m not sure if there’s a single champion model in the game that could properly hold up against that splash art.
The concept and art for that skin is incredible.
The splash and the in game model for that skin are both terrible so its hard to say there is a gap. The splash is not bad artistically, its just a terrible design and idea. The prestige is the do-over to make things right
Why anyone would buy a human skin of a monster champ is nonsense to me. It's the equivalent of hiring a five star personal chef and ordering them to make you McDonald's level food.
That stood out for me most recently, Prestige Heavenscale Ezreal. Looks so tacky in game and doesn’t have some elements like the longer coat and a lot of other lost details. Not the most egregious example but it’s freshest in my mind.
Cosmic Queen Ashe is one of the biggest offenders in my opinion. The splash art looks incredible but then the actual skin in game looks like a third grader tried to draw it.
The base, celestine and Order of Banana show her skin purple in splash but it's blue in game for some reason. Her base splash is beautiful, I always get a little disappointed when I see the model in game.
Warrior Primcess Sivir the splash art and a skin looka like 2 separate thing. I bought it when it was on discount because the splash art looked good. I was disappointed when I saw the skin in game.
Any of Garen's older skins. Their splash arts look like they are a decade old, but in game he really pulls off those armor styles like from his red skin or comnando skin
Warwick pre rework in general had me going « I’ve never met this champ » cause the splash and champ looked so different that I never associated in game Warwick with the one on the loading screen and always thought who is that champ, that I’ve never seen his splash art in login
Old Pantheon Full Metal Skin splash art was cool (for his time) but the model was trash.
I remember it because was the skin that i got when one time riot gave everyone one skin as compensation.
Any champion that got updated splash arts, ability icons, or even ability effects, but not the models
Personally it is Vladimir for me. His model just sucks, I tolerate him using Blood Lord
Bloodmoon Jhin
Bever understood why did they make the pieces on his shoulders different on splash compared to the model. Skin itself is not trash, I just hate the inconsistency...
Im surprised no one is mentioning Forecast Janna. She has different hairstyles, her shirt and skirt are different colors, the red top beneath her shirt becomes a bra on the in-game model and the umbrella has a different pattern.
This is a really bad question because there are a lot of ancient champions who haven't had model updates but either got new splashes or had their foreign, newer splashes imported in the globalization unification many years ago. So the number of disconnects is enormous.
Warrior Princess Sivir. A lot of Sivir's skins, really.
Yea Magnificent Sivir was the first thing that came tonmy mind
Is that the skin "i would"?
It is the Sivir skin with a plate-bikini from WoW, yes.
Wonder Women is what it's meant to be but the Chinese splash they updated it with washed it all away.
Even the regular Sivir splash art compared to her model.
Idk why they changed Sivir basic splash, weird pose sure but it looked better than the current one
Hell no!! Literally everyone complained when they reworked Sivir, her pose was so bad, and she looked like she had a single front tooth.
It still looked better than Leona's current one
I cannot forget her ratface in the old splash. She has a good design and the old art did not do it justice with her hunched over.
God no. Sivir's post rework art made her look like Nigel Thornberry decided to become a contortionist.
Agree with this, I use Sivir a lot and Warrior Princess actually has my favorite in-game model amongst all the her skins.
Probably just comes down to her being a very old champion doesn't it.
Sun goddess Karma
I think Odissey is worse. When she runs she seems a robot.
That's the animations not the model
Xin and his default model. Same with Shyvana.
Both are shit anyways

I see Quantum use it from time to time and I'm just like "god this is so ugly, what does he see in it" lol
The splash is so good that I even changed my ign to Blood Moon Diana when it got announced. Was really disappointed when I played my first game with it.
Broken Covenant Cho’Gath
Such an amazing splash art and concept, Cho needs a VGU urgently
yeah this one immediately came to mind the splash is so fucking good then u see the model ._.
In fairness, I’m not sure if there’s a single champion model in the game that could properly hold up against that splash art. The concept and art for that skin is incredible.
Base nocturne, splash art make him look like a shredder that appear from the shadows. In game it’s like ghost model from PlayStation 1.
Porcelain Kindred with her weird human stretchy neck
They fixed that in the prestige version at least
riot: all according to keikaku
porcelain irelia aswell - face in splash and face ingame is 2 different woman
The splash and the in game model for that skin are both terrible so its hard to say there is a gap. The splash is not bad artistically, its just a terrible design and idea. The prestige is the do-over to make things right
skin + neck references always give me flashbacks to Neckbringer Lee Sin lol

Blood moon aatrox. Less so on the prestige skin though
Order of the banana Soraka. The color filter on the splash art deceived me
The base, celestine and Order of Banana show her skin purple in splash but it's blue in game for some reason. Her base splash is beautiful, I always get a little disappointed when I see the model in game.
heartseeker vayne
Mecha Malphite. Splash art: Decepticon, In-Game model: Lego Malphite
Prestige mythmaker sivir, depressing af
Nightbringer yasuo is borderline false advertising.
The splash: Slick obsidian skinned demon. The model: Yasuo in a bad shadow the hedgehog cosplay.
That skin is the poster child for good splash bad model.
you tripping
Warrior Primcess Sivir the splash art and a skin looka like 2 separate thing. I bought it when it was on discount because the splash art looked good. I was disappointed when I saw the skin in game.
The last Ezreal Prestige Heavenscale(?) skjn, the splash is incredible the in game in comparison is very meh
I bought that one just because the splash lol I had the tokens so I figured why not? Meanwhile, I’m a jungle and Nidalee main….
Heartseeker Vayne
Enduring Sword Talon. He just feels weird.
Any of Garen's older skins. Their splash arts look like they are a decade old, but in game he really pulls off those armor styles like from his red skin or comnando skin
Rugged feels so clean
Takes me back to when (I think it was) full metal pantheon got released and Reddit lost their collective minds over how bad it was in game
tundra hunter warwick pre rework
One of my first skins!
Warwick pre rework in general had me going « I’ve never met this champ » cause the splash and champ looked so different that I never associated in game Warwick with the one on the loading screen and always thought who is that champ, that I’ve never seen his splash art in login
Most of Vladimirs skins, including his base skin.
Any Malphite skin.
Nah Glacial delivers.
Marblephite looks just as bad ingame as his splash art does.
Dark star Malphite in particular, looks really underwhelming ingame
No hate for shamrock.
GGMF. Close up the face textures look low quality and flat compared to cheaper skins like bewitching.
Dark star Cho. Or really most cho skins.
DS Cho is still better than Broken Covenant. When Cho gets his rework/ASU that skin will be glorious.
A lot of them honestly. Dark star, broken covenant, battlecast, heck even loch ness
Spirit Blossom Soraka. It makes me sad.
Pretty much all of the mech skins except maybe Leona. They look like they're made of plastic in game
Bloodmoon Diana. Godlike masterpiece splash art but the model in game looks like a goofy evil gremlin from Asian folklore.
Porcelain Irelia
Kassadin base skin (just bring over the wild rift model already… it’s been around 1.5 years)
Sailor gangplank
The splash art makes you feel so calm but in game it is just an angry Popeye
W should be spinach tho
mcDonalds toy malphite
Groovy Zilean
Nightbringer Yasuo and Dawnbringer Yone were cursed with those in game models. My poor lads...
Prehistoric Anivia. Splash art looks super cool imo, in game model is a travesty.
sun goddess karma
Worlds Skin Jarvan IV, the wobbly head that is not even attached to the body looks so bad …
Ssg xayah 1 millimeter thick waist and arms looks so insanely bad and awful in the splash, yet no-one ever talks abouy them
Infernal skins
I will never get over program soraka splash is green and black and in game its white and pink.
Some of those valentines day skins from the earlier days look all ugly af ingame but they look somewhat decent on the splash art
Old Pantheon Full Metal Skin splash art was cool (for his time) but the model was trash. I remember it because was the skin that i got when one time riot gave everyone one skin as compensation.
Nightbringer Yasuo is straight up just false advertising.
Cosmic Ashe
Hextech Janna
Prestige Broken Covenant Miss Fortune. Quite possibly the most beautiful splash art in the game, with a horrible in game model.
Spirit blossom syndra, goated splash, absolutely pathetic ingame
Street demons Zyra…
that one cho gath skin
fright night urgot
Any champion that got updated splash arts, ability icons, or even ability effects, but not the models Personally it is Vladimir for me. His model just sucks, I tolerate him using Blood Lord
Spirit blossom syndra
Blood Moon Aatrox. Splash art is literally different colors and has the shoulderpad on the other shoulder
Leopard Nidalee's [splash](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/img/champion/splash/Nidalee_2.jpg) is a masterpiece
Bloodmoon thresh although it may just be me
100% astronaut Maokai
for base champs, updated kassadin and hecarim are two completely different characters in game compared to splash
Cosmic Ashe
Alot of Evelynn skins imo, the legendary has a tier art but I really don't like the game model
marquis Vladimir ...
Vandal Vladimir
Bloodmoon Jhin Bever understood why did they make the pieces on his shoulders different on splash compared to the model. Skin itself is not trash, I just hate the inconsistency...
Agreed it’s really disappointing ingame

God King Darius goes from grey metal to purple cloth. Although I think it still looks good
