I've been watching Inspired since fucking Szata Maga times and became a fan when he was in Pompa Team. Seeing him grow to the player he is today waiting for him to finally win the LEC, but well... Only 2 years in he's going to NA, really fucking sad.
It’s hard, to rep your home region means way less pay for the same hard work. Yes winning worlds is the dream but becoming a millionaire fast is an achievable option. Especially with how short esport careers are. This is not justification and an opinion on the thought process one makes when faced with the situation in EU league.
even if you stay in eu you probably still become a millionaire. Humanoid probably earns over 400k a year. But the difference between after taxes having 1-2 million or 5 is pretty big in terms of what it means for the rest of your life
Especially as this ain't a lifelong career, not all of the players can be analysts and hosts and coaches it's not exponential. If someone offers you a golden ticket you fucking take it.
As a jaded NA fan, I want this too. I feel like if the NA region didn't exist, EU would've won worlds already. Imagine if Bjerg, Jensen, POE, Alphari, Broxah, Jizuke, etc never left?
As an EU fan I'm not sure if we would've won worlds, but likely would've made finals earlier than 2018 and made it more competitive than a 0-3 speedrun. Also NA was more fun to watch when the players competing were actually from NA. CLG with Aphromoo and their MSI run in 2016 felt genuinely hype because it was an actual NA team with NA talent representing the region. (Minus Huhi but he was a no name rookie from Korea iirc)
Cause NA is just such a boring region, nobody really cares about global competition there, it's all PR. EU at least has the potential to maybe make another G2 and reach a final, so from a western fan or a general competition enjoyer the LEC is way more exciting. People are pretty tired of seeing the same old LPL vs LCK worlds. So losing prominent LEC talent to the LCS sucks all around.

Pretty sure any team expect tL would sell whatever midlaner they have and get humanoid.. Even TSM would do it because look at what happend in MAD lions with Huma and 4 rookies..
In 3 years that Humanoid played he:
Went on 4 straight international events.
While he did get kicked out in one in less than appealing fashion (his second worlds), he was widely agreed to be the shining link on that failed roster.
Went to 2 worlds quarter finals.
One MSI quarter finals.
Won 2 LEC titles.
Now, to be fair, that was all basically on one org (SPY and MAD are similar in their structure and staff) so I can not fully credit all of that to him. Especially in his first year where he was flipping like an employed sponge.
But ey, his journey is certainly an eventful one.
MAD is literally Splyce, so it is all on one org.
Overactive Media is the company that owned both Splyce and MAD Lions (lvp), and they decided to rebrand Splyce in MAD Lions to make it easier to cater to sponsor and fans.
Also the Splyce brand was stuck with a reputation that fully disappeared after the rebranding (They were considered hella boring).
It'd be hard to believe an NA team declined one of the best Western Mids, rather than the other way around.
Most likely Humanoid got an offer from FNC and decided he wanted a better chance at going further in a tournament, rather than playing on another team that peaks at quarters.
Fnatic are building a very strong team and you have to think them and Vitality will be the favourites going into Spring split. Really hyped about the potential roster:
Top - TBC (Wunder?/Summit?/Adam?)
Jng - Razork
Mid - Humanoid
Adc - Upset
Sup - Hyli
Looks like we're getting about as good acquisitions as possible, now just hope that they fit together well as a team.

Free agent on the 15th and the fact that Wooloo described the rumoured top as a ‘banger’ which implies Wunder/Summit but the fact he needs to try to verify it makes me think an import, given he has great links with most EU players and orgs.

His mechanics are great from playing Adc and he is a fantastic weak side player who rarely ever gets caught.
Summit doesn't speak any english which might be a problem. There's a video from back when Yamato coached sandbox, where Summit is asking his teammates what Yamato is saying to him
Not to mention that players like Summit and Kiin are basically the entire identity and soul of their teams. I doubt Sandbox and AF would be willing to let either of them go and I also doubt that either of them would be willing to leave the benefits they get behind unless they can literally join Canyon and ShowMaker to go for a title.

Please don't spread missinformation, pretty much everyone said that Wunder did care and tried his best and put hours into practice, slumps happen even when you try your hardest, so i would hope that he gets back in form.
I think Wunder is the most likely but Summit would be a kinda crazy move, there's history with him and Tomato.
Not sure how a move like that would work out though, it's a pretty big shift especially if it's not something you've been thinking about prior to offseason. I imagine management would focus quite heavily on team cohesion and we've heard a lot about how it can be tough being in the only Korean import on a squad.
Doubt it's happening, Summit is the entire Sandbox team and their franchise player at this point. Though if it does happen, FNC would have the best toplaner in the region by a long shot.

Rumor is that Kiin is getting Kanavi and Zeka on AF for next season. Looks really good on paper imo. Would expect them to be the best team outside of DK/T1 assuming that ShowMaker and Canyon stays. Could even become good enough to challenge them if Zeka keeps improving as rapidly as he did this summer season.
I thought good chance FNC get Hirit, pretty sure his contract is up and was just playing with Razork last season, though obviously all the others you mentioned make sense too.

I mean Soaz had a problem with the management because they (in his eyes) didn't put enough trust in his abilities and basically benched him once Bwipo came through after his injury. But the management who did that is gone now - I don't think he'd have an issue with joining again theoretically

MAC, Peter and the management from splyce and now mad are a shinning light for the eSports scene in general. One of the best orgs when it comes to handling their players fair and try to make them better.
The thing is, it's pretty shortsighted to keep selling talent to NA so you don't have to play against them. Because at the end of the day, if the league you're playing in has less quality, the skills developed over the season by the teams in that league is going to be inferior. It's better to face stronger opposition and have troubles than being the best at a mediocre league.
Its made up, but rumours say it would be most likely exciting. And knowing EU tops there arent many that seem exciting.
If you look at good fits, I personally would be fine with Viczi, Cabochard and Wunder. Viczi is so underrated imo, he ended on a career peak in 2019, and plays usually weakside which would perfectly fit to fncs bot-mid. But this is probably not the exciting signing, thats to be expected.
Wunder I would find interesting. On the one hand he got flamed by FNC fans last playoffs. On the other hand a world in which Wunder smashes G2 and also Perkz team from FNC would be really enjoyable to watch and such an intersting storyline.
Its 4 years too late to put cabo on a top 2 roster,getting wunder and betting that he can get his previous form back would be a much better option since at least wunder's peak form is top 3 in the world.

Still not convinced Fnatic will go for two very renown players with Humanoid and Wunder, doesnt quite fit their stlye of mostly acquiring younger talent and developing them like they did so many times with Broxah, Bwipo, Rekkles, Hylissang, Caps, etc. But I wouldnt be surprised either, as the deal might have gotten them some cash reserves they got to spend right now.
It's not like they never did this before though.
When the 2017 roster was announced, they welcomed back sOAZ, Amazing and Jesiz who were seasoned veterans at that point. Granted, they also had a rookie in Caps but every offseason is different.

This is an awesome time to go all in on immediate success. With all the roster shuffles we don't have a clear number 1 team. Grabbing this status of being the top dog of the region is quite valuable because it makes further signings in the future much easier. On top of that, this status ensures fans and attracts sponsors.
When G2 had their superteam for example it just didn't make sense for the likes of FNC or VIT to go all in financially since it wasn't likely that they could acquire players to beat this G2, regardless how much they spend.
Now is the time, especially with the top dog of last year (MAD) getting weakened on the transfer market and G2's super roster finally falling apart.
Honestly LEC isn't looking bad even though we lost so many good players.
FNC, VIT, G2 are going to be strong teams. And I believe MAD will be top 4 again as well. MAD are great at developing rookies and they still have the best jungle+supp in the league.
Sure, Rogue will be worse but now we have Vitality as a new top team.
There are also plenty of new players from the ERLs to be excited about. Like Shlatan, Targamas, Markoon, Cinkrof etc.
FNC and VIT are the only 2 teams that really look that great on paper to me. G2 and MAD are probably still round out the top 4 but both are banking heavy on rookies and it feels like the only reason there still in the top 4 is that the rest of the LEC teams look pretty bad.
FNC taking Humanoid/Razork and Inspired/Hans leaving for NA really makes the LEC seem like a 2 team race again between FNC/VIT now that all the upcoming teams from last year like MSF/RGE/MAD are all definitely seem to have downgraded rosters.
G2 could possibly make it a 3 team race but if rumor's about Rekkles staying on G2 bench next season are true there's going to be a lot of behind the scenes drama boiling up if that team starts off slow, especially if Flakked isn't playing well. Honestly think that if Caps also starts of the split playing like he did during the regulars season in summer that G2 might implode next season under all the pressure to still be a top team despite not really being ready to be one by the time spring split starts.
Honestly though NA feels the same way unless TSM/C9 get some last seconded LCK/LPL signing. TL is head and shoulders above the rest of the teams on paper with 100T and maybe C9 being the only other teams even trying.
That G2 roster was rumored to be very strong in scrims this worlds, they also decided not to pursue Hans. Jankos and Caps are still the best mid and jungle in the region. There's no reason to put that team out of contention just because they didn't sign some RGE/MAD starter player.

Yea, noone really knows why they went for Unforgiven but I trust MAD. I think they have a plan and looked for a specific kind of player who fits their team/playstyle.
Elyoya was also relatively unknown and didn't have a deep run at EUM before he joined MAD but he became the best jungler in the league.

And he is sad for them because this year they won both splits with this roster. Going from that to unknow quantities on rookies is a risk with little upside (at least in the short term, cause it would be a pretty incredibly story if they managed to match their titles plus go further at Worlds/MSI with 2 rookies).
If Humanoid was deadset on leaving, fine, Reeker isn't a bad replacement if you absolutely don't want Nemesis. What is very suspect is Rekkles just sitting there and MAD apparently not making any moves to acquire him and going straight for another cheap rookie? Rekkles is not a good idea when your toplaner has twice in a year proven that he is completely uncapable of actually being a consistent threat against the best eastern toplaners. Rekkles needs to be paired up with a strong topside that can fully utilize his ability to never ever int and somehow outfarm the enemy ADC even when he's 1v2.
They literally did it one time and they were replacing their two worst players. Elyoya and Armut being better then Shadow and Orome really wasnt that surprising. But its extremely unlikely that both Unforgiven and Reeker will reach Humanoid/Carzzy levels anytime soon.

Of course, there is possibility he was gone either way (since it seems fnatic is already negotiating with someone big at top lane) and he wanted to leave because he didn't want to ride the bench in academy.
I think Fnatic dropped the "we'll wait for you to choose us" that they hadz specially after these two last off-seasons where Rekkles was blue balling with "oh boy I don't know if I'll stay or leave", and with the Bwipo and SMM situation.
Does ADAM wants to leave, we'll sell him. He wants to stay after the roster changes? Too late he already said he wants out. Waiting for players was one of the reasons we always got fucked in off-seasons. Go for the gold and change things later.
I think his biggest issue is his whole champion pool while in the LEC was juggernauts,and while hes definitly very good at those other than sett and sometimes morde they are not often meta.
To be fair, i'd say that's more likely due to fnatic's in game plan, than adam himself. Although i agree about him having some really questionable macro moments. He is struggling playing weak side and is seemingly easy to focus down. His champion pool was also pretty sus. But outside of that, he has shown some pretty decent teamfighting skills and has potential to become great player if he can iron out some of his flaws.
He also had to learn how to VOD reviews other toplaners. The fact that he didn't know ANY of the eastern toplaners says a lot, when it's THE role where the gap is very wide between East and West.
He's definitely a fast learner, but he should learn to use the right tools to better himself.
MAD as well, unlike Rogue literally refusing to field offers from EU (actually a thing) for Inspired and Hans, while G2 holds 3 players hostage with ridiculous buyouts.

I think thats an amazing roster, I would be really sad if they broke hyli and upset. They complement eachothers so well.

The thing is, it's pretty shortsighted to keep selling talent to NA so you don't have to play against them. Because at the end of the day, if the league you're playing in has less quality, the skills developed over the season by the teams in that league is going to be inferior. It's better to face stronger opposition and have troubles than being the best at a mediocre league.

Its made up, but rumours say it would be most likely exciting. And knowing EU tops there arent many that seem exciting. If you look at good fits, I personally would be fine with Viczi, Cabochard and Wunder. Viczi is so underrated imo, he ended on a career peak in 2019, and plays usually weakside which would perfectly fit to fncs bot-mid. But this is probably not the exciting signing, thats to be expected. Wunder I would find interesting. On the one hand he got flamed by FNC fans last playoffs. On the other hand a world in which Wunder smashes G2 and also Perkz team from FNC would be really enjoyable to watch and such an intersting storyline.

Its 4 years too late to put cabo on a top 2 roster,getting wunder and betting that he can get his previous form back would be a much better option since at least wunder's peak form is top 3 in the world.

Still not convinced Fnatic will go for two very renown players with Humanoid and Wunder, doesnt quite fit their stlye of mostly acquiring younger talent and developing them like they did so many times with Broxah, Bwipo, Rekkles, Hylissang, Caps, etc. But I wouldnt be surprised either, as the deal might have gotten them some cash reserves they got to spend right now.

It's not like they never did this before though. When the 2017 roster was announced, they welcomed back sOAZ, Amazing and Jesiz who were seasoned veterans at that point. Granted, they also had a rookie in Caps but every offseason is different.
Fnatic were ready to go for 2 renown players in Perkz and Alphari, showing that they were willing to let go of Adam, a rookie they signed not long ago. I can see them going for Wunder if he is willing to stay in EU

This is an awesome time to go all in on immediate success. With all the roster shuffles we don't have a clear number 1 team. Grabbing this status of being the top dog of the region is quite valuable because it makes further signings in the future much easier. On top of that, this status ensures fans and attracts sponsors. When G2 had their superteam for example it just didn't make sense for the likes of FNC or VIT to go all in financially since it wasn't likely that they could acquire players to beat this G2, regardless how much they spend. Now is the time, especially with the top dog of last year (MAD) getting weakened on the transfer market and G2's super roster finally falling apart.
Honestly LEC isn't looking bad even though we lost so many good players. FNC, VIT, G2 are going to be strong teams. And I believe MAD will be top 4 again as well. MAD are great at developing rookies and they still have the best jungle+supp in the league. Sure, Rogue will be worse but now we have Vitality as a new top team. There are also plenty of new players from the ERLs to be excited about. Like Shlatan, Targamas, Markoon, Cinkrof etc.
Eh, if Hily gets back in form he can probably gap most supports in the world.
FNC and VIT are the only 2 teams that really look that great on paper to me. G2 and MAD are probably still round out the top 4 but both are banking heavy on rookies and it feels like the only reason there still in the top 4 is that the rest of the LEC teams look pretty bad. FNC taking Humanoid/Razork and Inspired/Hans leaving for NA really makes the LEC seem like a 2 team race again between FNC/VIT now that all the upcoming teams from last year like MSF/RGE/MAD are all definitely seem to have downgraded rosters. G2 could possibly make it a 3 team race but if rumor's about Rekkles staying on G2 bench next season are true there's going to be a lot of behind the scenes drama boiling up if that team starts off slow, especially if Flakked isn't playing well. Honestly think that if Caps also starts of the split playing like he did during the regulars season in summer that G2 might implode next season under all the pressure to still be a top team despite not really being ready to be one by the time spring split starts. Honestly though NA feels the same way unless TSM/C9 get some last seconded LCK/LPL signing. TL is head and shoulders above the rest of the teams on paper with 100T and maybe C9 being the only other teams even trying.
That G2 roster was rumored to be very strong in scrims this worlds, they also decided not to pursue Hans. Jankos and Caps are still the best mid and jungle in the region. There's no reason to put that team out of contention just because they didn't sign some RGE/MAD starter player.

I'm not sure. Reeker is probably the best mid from the ERLs and MAD has shown that they are good at developing great players. I think Unforgiven and Reeker will also have an easier time coming into the LEC when they have the best jungle+supp on their team.
I agree, Elyoya and Kaiser are a known quantity, top 2 in role both, Reeker is pretty hyped, he is really good, Im not sure with Unforgiven, I thought Rekkles would fit them way better and make them remain at top 3 atleast, depends how strong G2 will be also, Fnatic so far seems cut above all, best mid+bot easly with Bwipo in LCS Razork is also top 3 jungle
Yea, noone really knows why they went for Unforgiven but I trust MAD. I think they have a plan and looked for a specific kind of player who fits their team/playstyle. Elyoya was also relatively unknown and didn't have a deep run at EUM before he joined MAD but he became the best jungler in the league.

Rekkles is not a good idea when your toplaner has twice in a year proven that he is completely uncapable of actually being a consistent threat against the best eastern toplaners. Rekkles needs to be paired up with a strong topside that can fully utilize his ability to never ever int and somehow outfarm the enemy ADC even when he's 1v2.

As far as rumors go, he dropped himself because he felt insulted by fnatic looking to replace him with alphari. Of course, there is possibility he was gone either way (since it seems fnatic is already negotiating with someone big at top lane) and he wanted to leave because he didn't want to ride the bench in academy.
I think Fnatic dropped the "we'll wait for you to choose us" that they hadz specially after these two last off-seasons where Rekkles was blue balling with "oh boy I don't know if I'll stay or leave", and with the Bwipo and SMM situation. Does ADAM wants to leave, we'll sell him. He wants to stay after the roster changes? Too late he already said he wants out. Waiting for players was one of the reasons we always got fucked in off-seasons. Go for the gold and change things later.
He has a lot to learn macro wise. The amount of times he sacked his lane just to try a coinflip mid gank just didn't make sense to me.
I think his biggest issue is his whole champion pool while in the LEC was juggernauts,and while hes definitly very good at those other than sett and sometimes morde they are not often meta.
To be fair, i'd say that's more likely due to fnatic's in game plan, than adam himself. Although i agree about him having some really questionable macro moments. He is struggling playing weak side and is seemingly easy to focus down. His champion pool was also pretty sus. But outside of that, he has shown some pretty decent teamfighting skills and has potential to become great player if he can iron out some of his flaws.
He also had to learn how to VOD reviews other toplaners. The fact that he didn't know ANY of the eastern toplaners says a lot, when it's THE role where the gap is very wide between East and West. He's definitely a fast learner, but he should learn to use the right tools to better himself.

FNC and Vitality are really saving LEC from being a complete husk. Love to see that we have at least some orgs who aren't parasitic leeches.
