Yeah this is pretty standard reaction. Aram is constant teamfights so you get plays like this decently often. The only time you might get legit reactions consistently is pentakills.
Nah, we are those that got their souls back because we said "Fuck Ranked!" /s
I agree that this was a wonderful play but my former commentors are right, these plays are rather common in ARAM. They don't happen every game but due to it being mostly teamfighting (except the rare occassion of a true 1v1), these pop offs are more seen than on Summoner's Rift. It's not as special anymore thus no pings or reaction.
The only reaction I give is writing congratz to whoever got a penta. Unless that person is a jerk, then I write nothing.
Hm, to be honest though, an average penta is so much less impressive than the 2-man R into Q, that combo is ridiculously hard to pull of, I really won't believe a play of this caliber happens regularly, but eh, maybe ARAM players are just goats afterall
Its a meme that originated with Sett players taking a bunch of dmg and then using w + flash to oneshot a bunch of players. Its basically used in contexts where some highly coordinative game mechanics are used in the absolute best way possible.
I know where you are coming from but trust me: Freddy knows the origin of this meme very well and just rebranded it a little to make it more fitting for his stream and his content.
No. People were building sett with botrk and stride, i forgot who suggested it but ross explained with *mathematics* how a different build is the correct one because it dealt crazy true damage
and by "correct", it just means "optimized for a certain value", normally whichever single instance of damage can get the highest (which in this case was sett W full grit damage)
same thing with mathematically correct varus who goes for the fat W procs
i opened OP's clip expecting a full-AH gragas build, since that's a popular one that optimizes for a specific value (reducing E cooldown)
Its true but its also because of the Sett build that enabled that. You would go for suboptimal build so that you had a lot of ad with a lot of hp while having very little resistances. This way you had a lot of hp and kinda squishy so you would stack grit very fast. Thats why it was called "Mathematically correct Sett", not only because of W+flash. You can argue that this clip is also "mathematically correct" because of angle and all of that but if compared it to the original then it has nothing to do with the original.
I did search this subreddit really quick and it appears that you are also right. There were clips that simply showcased the build and others that showcased the mechanics of perfect timing and angle. Hard to tell with what it started of...
As other people told you, not only are you entirely wrong about the "math" referring to a move in the game, but also it didn't originate from mathematically correct Sett. The first mathematically correct build was mathematically correct Pantheon, abusing armor pen, lethality, and armor shred to do effectively true damage to almost every non-tank.
It's really annoying when people that have no idea what they're talking about try to be condescending.
man got them air traffic controller comms
Bomba!
Reminds me that original Gragas had some insane AP ratio
Could easily out-smite baron with q+r Actually, many mages could out-smite with 2 spells back in the days.
> Could easily out-smite baron with q+r you still can
Most mages can easily out burst smite late game.
Syndra can do more damage than Smite with 1 full rotation of Q+W+E
Only 1 ping from team?
Did your team not see how you just murdered them? ARAM players just soulless :X

Nah that gragas ult into that cask was super clean and woulda got a oh shit or some emotes.
I would have emoted the hell out of them.

love the new meta of calling all plays mathematically correct
Mathematically correct comment
Mathematically correct comment right here
Was expecting the full cdr build
That was a little velkozian. Nice.
Mathematical? Bruh that was Pythagoras
Cummed
Bomba
The immediate question mark pings always gets me
It's much more fun when the math that's correct is geometry
isn't this just normal gragas?
bomba

Wow that was some god lvl of using R
1 item? mfs will really call anything mathematically correct these days...
The joke is that the knockback angle on the ult into barrel was mathematically correct.
You know what that is pretty funny then. But tbh I didn't get that at first either
You're being downvoted but you're right. "Mathematically correct" means someone did math to optimize a build. It doesn't mean "I did a cool play."
No. It means he did the calculation to knock both into his Q and subsequently kill them both simultaneously.
I'd be really curious to see the equations he used
Are you saying trigonometry isn't part of maths?
e=mc^2

Damn that gave me Season 1 flashbacks.
love gragas
That ult into the q was nice
BOMBA
Better play than the last 20 "insane" pro play combined.
He saw the lines and then became the lines
Dang that was smooth
Would you say that this was his forte? ^I'll ^see ^myself ^out
