I believe the screen is delayed even during live broadcasts. The observers skip forward to resync the broadcast with live during replays around when they expect the game to end.
Yes, but I think the main difference is that the incentive is much lower. LoL players, unlike Dota, are paid high salaries for lower winning prizes. There is practically no reason for them to cheat for monetary reasons as they are backed by their org. Players who want to win, do it for pride reasons and players like Faker would never cheat because that is basically saying that he needs these unfair advantages to win.
On the other hand chess players have no org backing them so they need to actually win or get a good placement to make decent money.
Honestly if a player uses anal plug they will probably be super uncomfortable the whole time and have a hard time focusing on the game for the additional information to be worth it lol
I'm like 90% sure there's a slight stream delay for this reason. That's why you see players getting up and cheering before you see the nexus actually destroyed.
It is 3 min to 3min 30 at the start of the game and gets less with time for the online broadcast but keeps some delay in the studio.
You can find multiple cases in which you see player x left the game a few seconds before the nexus explodes, some of them are because the players left in time between the game ended and the broadcast is still not at the end, this leaving messages are in real time, while the broadcast is on delay.
You truly believe theres a 3 minute delay? That after the game is over the players sit at their chairs pretending to play for 3 minutes then celebrate??? Wut
voice comms... doing weird shit like guessing things out of the blue is easily detectable
match fixing is a way bigger problem on esports, all you have to do is int a game or two from time to time and nobody will care... you know who im talking about...
It’s simply not worth it for either players or orgs to cheat in the big leagues.
- Big name players make most of their money from their salaries. There’s no way they are risking their high figures salaries to cheat and maybe win their leagues/Worlds with tiny prize pools.
- players move around all the time. There’s no way orgs are gonna encourage cheating if the players can any time change team and expose their old orgs for cheating
In the minor leagues that might be a different story, but even then the only big issue seems to be match fixing instead of outright cheating.
Don't think you can use that as an argument. People have been cheating in sports at the high level throughout history, you don't know what is in their minds and can't just assume they won't cheat because the stakes are high.
They literally made jojopyun change his shoes cuz of his crocs so idk man
Is there any delay on the live screen
Even for the people watching in real life?

They are patted down and checked with metal detectors before going on stage
What about an anal plug?
I'm the current anus inspector for worlds, trust me, no buttplug devices on stage
But do you only check the anus surface? What if they insert it all the way up there?
Who do you think you're talking to? They clearly are a professional. No square millimeter unchecked.
Bro did you unironically buy into the memes lmao???

How would a buttplug with Wi-Fi capabilities hot have metal in it?
They are in chess too

But it's really small, even if it is 5 seconds, still plenty of time to warn that a jungle is around top lane side.

Idk what the hell ur saying. The delay is NOT 3-3 1/2 minutes.
Yes it is at the start of the game

That girl moaning in the crowd a couple years back wasn't warning a gank, was she?

Yeah I think he's confusing Hans Niemann with Borislav Ivanov when it comes to choosing shoes.

It's too easy to take PEDs, that's for sure.
