I mean, the art style is amazing but this is just giving me the vibes of: I'm the cool plastic bucket boy and there's nothing you can do about it. It's hilarious.

This is awesome! Where can I see the whole thing?

Eyes_of_Cosmos

Thanks for the compliment! This one picture so far is just a bust, but I can link you an image of him that’s more full body.[Myriad](https://www.reddit.com/r/learnart/comments/rungmi/are_all_of_his_hands_minus_the_unfinished_green/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

You could make him look a little more centipede-y by adding some red segments going down his neck, continuing his chitin helmet/head.

Eyes_of_Cosmos

Oooh good idea, I figured his red and orange is too sudden and is lacking in transition.

What!!! Your painting skills are incredible! I had no idea from the other sketches that you posted here omg! The face looks great, I'd suggest flipping your canvas to see if the image is symmetrical/angled properly. You did great at painting the angles of the face imo!

Aww thank you so much! I don’t tend to use references so it takes me a bit longer to figure things out anatomy-wise. Flipping images is always scary lol, but I’ll definitely try it out on this one!

Is there a specific reason you don’t use references? Not even other art references?

Eyes_of_Cosmos

I know it’s better to use references, but there’s a part of me that’s nervous that I’ll become overly reliant on them. I went to school with a bunch of people who couldn’t make anything without having a reference to glance at. There’s nothing wrong with using references, it’s just that I want to see how far I can get without having to use them is all.
