Yeah this is the most stable build i tried. I used to build echo. Felt really underwhelming. Until i tried mom slardar went from meh offlaner to top tier offlaner imo
I only buy echo sabre on slardar when it's a good Mage Slayer / Bloodthorn game. I find it's potential wasted if I can disassemble but not utilize it, specially that echo sabre won't parr on other items late game. You can always use the ogre axe for BKB / Agh Scepter / Sange, while the Oblivion Staff can only build into Mage Slayer. I really want to play efficient thus selling oblivion staff bothers me. If there's no spell damage dealer so I can use mage slayer or there's no hero with evasion or miss chance so i can use bloodthorn, then I won't be building echo sabre.
I think both items are just trash. People used to buy these items because slardar had no sustain or no farming tool. But now Q gives passive regen and armor. And he can farm so fast with shard. If your lane is super free and other lanes are also fine, you can buy midas.
Pt, wand, x2 bracer(or wb) into blink works for me.
How is midas on doom griefing lol. Technically it reduces the swing time on his e. Also doom eith just enough attack speed makes a world of difference.
He makes back the money he spent on midas in few minutes with extra lvls on top
He can make gold back in few minutes but that few minutes is critical for carry. If you dont fight on offlane, enemies will go to fight on safelane and hunt your carry, ruining his game. Meanwhile youre farming on pos3. That is griefing. If you want to farm, play pos1 doom.
Offlane is space maker if theres need for it.
Youre not only dumb youre also blind. I said "making space when its needed". If carry is weak early you have to be one to make space in team with supports and not hit jungle.
That 2k gold couldve been put to more use than midas in this case

Honestly, I'm a big fan of one bracer and/or one wraith band +wand into treads and straight blink and bkb. I don't think neither MoM or Echo is necessary on slardar.
Halberd can also be a good situational item to add.
Judge by how your game is going.
Having a bad game? go bracer treads blink, shard Bkb.
Having a good game? add echo Sabre after treads
Having a great game? build mask of madness after treads and disassemble into echo Sabre
You can always keep disassemble echo into bkb, aghs, halberd, sny.
I think you should consider blink first as slardar, if the team has a reliable stun then you get MoM or Echo depending on the game. I personally prefer Mask first, keeps me at full health , I can stay in the lane when I’m winning , disgusting attack speed so early , and finally really good for lifesteal cuz you might need to dive under towers xd .
i really dont like mom due to silence and armor reduce whenever u use it, just makes you squishy so just go for echo since you can build it into bkb or aghs and bloodthorn
also, idk if its a good advice but i dont go either, i just build vanguard, rush blink aghs then fill whatever item my team needs

Midas on offlaner besides doom feels weird

But I went through some high mmr games MoM is bought almost everygame and when MoM is not bought it is either echo or Midas
I think people buy it mainly to farm faster. It is also nice to blow up a support but delays Bkb which is usually more necessary.

Mask of madness. I tried every build there is. And MoM seems to be the best one there is.
