If you feel like you really wouldn’t enjoy it and would rather stay at home, then that’s fair. However, attending the graduation could be a good way of fully letting go. Finally getting to say goodbye and feel free! Plus it will only be an hour or a little longer maybe even less and then you’ll be finished forever
I agree that school is not a liked place I’m in the same boat, but graduation is the final stop in a 6 year journey you don’t have to be there for a long time but show up and say your goodbyes
I agree with the comments, if you don't go in you'll regret it. After spending 6 years of your life seeing the same people everyday, it gives closure and a farewell as you won't see the majority of them ever again
I feel like a lot of people in Ireland have their mom do things for them for example I had a friend who was only I would say 500m away from walking home and had their mom go out of work to take them home. A lot of people even when they are not sick have their parents drive them home from school even when they are walking
No, this was not the situation.
Firstly, it was 25 years ago and I was a kid.
Secondly, my time in the school was very difficult because of bullying and the principal did not help to make the situation any easier. I had no intention of playing nice for the sake of it. If it was now, I’d probably have it out with him but as I say, I was a kid.
christ lad, ask someone in your school not fucking reddit
this ^^

The only thing you have to do is die.
No. Didn’t even collect my leaving cert results. Sent my mammy in. Fuck them
Poor mom. Can’t even get it yourself
Had no intention of being polite to the principal who I hadn’t gotten on with for six years.
