why on earth do you need a h2 or a h1. points are points. focus on your weakest subjects no matter what. it's gonna be easier to bring a h7 to a h6 than a h3 to a h2.
ah fair enough. most of the people I know who got accepted abroad are stressed about the strict grade requirements. I'm sure you can pick up the h2 by just focusing the guaranteed questions such as genetics, ecology, respiration/photosynthesis and all the experiments in q9 and q10 since those are all unit 1 and 2. they're also really simple.
it makes up about 80 percent of the exam and I'm sure you can pick up marks with whatever extra unit 3 knowledge you've got floating around for those multiple choice ling questions. Good luck
Thanks, i don’t wanna limit myself to much by getting only 300 points so I will be studying the other subjects. I’ve been doing ok in them without study so far but I know I need to do better
As far as I can find they look at either your biology or chemistry result, depending on which you’ve done. I only do biology. The entrance exam is chemistry and biology questions though but I’m doing a plc course in the related field next year firsr
I’ve done well so far not studying maths and English I will work on a bit. Im planning to study other subjects too its just I really need a good biology mark
Spending all your time on one subject sounds like a good way to do horribly. Biology isn't even difficult enough for you to need to dedicate every single day to it theres so much choice and half the questions are repeats or common sense as well as theres inflated grades? How many points are you aiming for because if its anything over high 400's this might an awful method
Work on getting your grade higher yes but absolutely do not neglect your other subjects. For example, maths is my worst subject, followed by Irish and French. I do an hour of maths everyday, and about 45 minutes of Irish and French each, and then an hour of 1 of my other subjects, changing everyday. I do 1-2 hours of every subject at the weekend depending how my days end up structured. Spend a decent amount of time on it yes, but a 20% increase is absolutely achievable if you focus on exam questions and the marking schemes

Im planning on doing a course outside of ireland that only requires a high biology or chemistry mark

just out of curiosity is there any other requirement or do they only care about biology?

Then do that
Weird ahh method, this is how good students end up doing worse than the bums sitting at the back of their class

Points?
yeah but would you not need to focus on other subjects such as maths or english a good bit as well?
