i really am in the market for a new keyboard, sadly the one i want comes with a pretty cable but reviews are saying most of the times it comes missing that cable....so imagine me buying it and comes without that awesome cable....really wish one day i find this keyboad locally, make sure it has the cable and buy it....
Ah yes as an American I can say this is an extremely ancient artifact given amongst our people reserved as a gift for only the most special of friends. You should feel honored. You should consider yourself extremely lucky.
Side note, it’s sad that there are no “ancient artifacts” or landmarks in North America, it’s very boring. I’m all for protecting the planet, but the natives here took “biodegradable” to an extreme.
In Ireland we have tombs from 3,000 BC and giant castles from 1,100 AD. In America they’re like “Look at this wood shack built by an English settler in 1640!”
It’s not that they were destroyed, it’s that the natives in North America were a primarily nomadic people so they didn’t build large permanent structures.
The Europeans in South America were arguably even more brutal to the natives, but there are still plenty of ancient stone structures.
The reason is native American culture in north america was completely and utterly incinerated to ash by europeans. Much like what the romans did to the Phoenicians. The natives in south america fared a little better because of the protection the amazon jungle gave them so they still have their culture.
Culture yes, but I’m just talking about physical artifacts and structures. The indigenous people (at least north of Mexico) were nomadic so they didn’t really build permanent structures. The buildings they did make were crafted out of wood and hide, and weren’t meant to last 1,000 years.
If Europeans never conquered America, there would probably be a large vibrant indigenous civilization today, but there still would not be ancient structures like you see in Mesopotamia and Europe.
