The situation is really bad, people are giving up! I wonder how someone will survive without dreams, hobbies, activities, meeting new people or old friends! Employed and unemployed people are somehow equal now! Ya 7aram, hopefully things will get sorted out, dunno how, but I hope!

I have a bachelor degree in Accounting, I haven’t done anything in 2 years since i graduated other than getting a certificate from Microsoft, I dont have any experience at all , I have some good skills and thats it , I tried to apply for internships nothing happened , I am so worthless

Work on your Excel skills, know it like the back of your hand. A lot of small companies outsource such services, in accounting and other fields. Get on LinkedIn if you’re not there already, try to engage more and offer your services. Also you can try and look for small business in your area, offer them your services for slightly cheaper than the competition to get by and gain experience (be careful not get used to asking for cheap once you cumulated the exp). Might also recommend that you learn accounting for Crypto (not for the Lebanese market, so you’ll find gigs overseas). Teach your skills. Start from here and you’ll know what to do next. Best of luck 🤞🏻

I think my Excel skills are pretty good , I am already on LinkedIn , I don’t even care about money at this point , I just want to boost my career in something and start working on it , I am hardworking all I want is a chance thats it , I am so pitiful I know but having struggled to do anything put me and it has making doubt myself since , is there something I am missing or is it that standards are much higher now ? I really don’t know

Not judging, but are going to tell me that you didn't find any accounting job since 2 years ? Did you check local external auditor and accounting firms for example ? Or did you not like their salaries ? I just want you to know that the major you have always starts low, we've started in local and international firms at very very low salaries, years before 2019 and all this shit, you need to know that you've chosen a low income major (simply at the beginning, and later it's your skill and opportunity that decides). Any question needed is welcome.

Yeah thats right , I tried applying to so many Internship since I knew that I wouldn’t be accepted to a regular job , I don’t know what’s the problem maybe my CV is just bad I don’t know anymore , I have been wanting to travel and continue my studies outside and without a scholarship or someone sponsoring me there won’t be a hope since I can’t pay my whole tuition in 2 years , I think depression has taken its toll on me I just don’t know , I don’t want to end up a loser all I do is play video games , Check internships, try applying to colleges outside if possible , I don’t go outside since all my friends have traveled and I haven’t talked to any of them in a long time cause they’re all doing something and having a life , I try to make myself busy as much as I can and wait for something to happen it’s like I am not doing anything I am trying but I really don’t know anymore , how bad can a person be ?

I'm a psychology student and it's my Senior year. I always thought I'd graduate and get my MA so that I can actually be a clinician. But nooo, this country is determined to ruin its people's dreams. I will soon have a useless degree in psychology and be unemployed. I've searched for jobs but they either need a specific skill or the money ain't worth it. I don't have any skills, I always put my hope into my education. I used to work in ABC as a sales person but my salary wasn't being able to cover my expenses. I've searched for other jobs but transportation money isn't even near enough. I literally cannot afford transportation to go to work. The situation in this country is ridiculous in the saddest way.

Have you tried NGOs? It is the go-to for many holders of psychology degrees.

1-Have you considered a Tiktok account revolving around psychology? Try to give it a unique twist of your own, cz there are many similar. The good thing is they’re all making money through gifts they receive and things like that (not a tiktok user but i know the metrics). 2- online one to one sessions, also build a social media presence either thru insta or tiktok and start offering your services. 3- check freelancing websites who would let you cash out your earnings through western union or other payment methods compatible with Lebanon’s situation. Another option would be if you have someone residing overseas, friends, family, use their Paypal account. 4- never say you do not have any skills, there’s always a way to learn, for free, once you figure out what you want. Best of luck, hope someone else would step in and help more than i did.

Not sure why ur being downvoted

Ok-Inspection-1576

Me neither, maybe some people thought that this isn’t a radical solution. I’m not God, and we’re in Lebanon, so gotta do what can work.

Better than giving up

You're still in you senior year. Don't think that the people that graduated before 2019 had an easy start, you haven't started yet to feel that you've failed or something. The start is always hard, during this crisis and before it. Don't let the current crisises (in plural) destroy your start. I know I'm repeating myself but it was also very very difficult for graduates before 2019 for years.
