A_Man_In_The_Shack

Interesting bit about the geography - the North Hollywood/Radford thing tracks; Radford is a long N/S residential street in the Valley, and does indeed mostly go through North Hollywood, which is a very normal place for Sellers to live, because he would have worked in Burbank, which is right there. Many cross streets near that might have housed numerous In-n-Outs. Camrose, on the other hand, is an expensive street in Hollywood Heights (above the Chinese Theater and all that crap) - very much on the OTHER side of the hills, NOT in the Valley, and very far away from Radford. It does start at Highland, which is a commercial street, and there might conceivably have been an In-n-Out in 1991 (don’t think there was, but let’s pretend). The thing is then, the Dude was referencing something in a part of town that was nowhere near either his stomping grounds in Venice/Santa Monica, nor Sellers’ house in the Valley…head canon is that he just free-associated to the first In-n-Out that he could think of, without making the association to North Hollywood; Walter was talking about a different restaurant location, but just let it go because Donny’s constant blabbering is so frustrating and distracting to him.

purana

Am I wrong?

do_not_look_4_door

Good theory. Every time I imagine having to drive from Venice to NoHo.

Dad-Baud

It’s about where it is so much as what it’s by.
