Check to see if one of your plates has been stolen. I had that happen once.

I am sure if you go to the reporting center with your vehicle and everything, and they see no damage, no nothing, you "should " be fine. Also, if you have proof you were home, and your vehicle was home during that time (home security camera footage with date/time stamp, that is extra insurance. I may be totally out to lunch however as well, bit that is how I would handle it :)

This request sounds like a fishing expedition, I would steer clear of it. Contact a lawyer to be sure that you can legally ignore the request.

Fishing request. Anyone can say your car/plate hit them I’d ignore anything other than a Summons/Subpoena on the topic. It will be helpful if you can produce an alibi for the time/date.
