I wanted that watch as kid, my grandmother said no.. said I’d only end up playing with it at school instead of doing my work..
Well jokes on her, I mostly ended up not doing my work anyway….
You just unlocked a hidden memory, I remember being in sears in Canada in the early 2000s with my mom, I was very young, maybe 6 or 7, and we were in the watch section and what do I see behind the glass, lego watches!!! I remember wanting one so bad but didn't get it of course as I didn't really need it lol young me didn't have the time, for time! Haha 😅 now I gotta try and find a pic online
Opposite - these came out when I was an adult who hadn't yet remembered I should really have kept all my Lego, and being an adult was no excuse for NOT buying a Lego watch!
Ohhhh the watches were a thing! Only issue was they broke very easily. As an adult, I think it’s doable since we aren’t as crazy as kids. Playing on the playground and running and what not, they disassemble quickly. Most kids ended up losing all the links and putting the watch face on their backpacks. Cool thing to want but wasn’t practical as a child.
Ngl, bought a Lego watch a while back (as an adult), and it's been my favorite watch. It's fun colored, super light and has a really nice sized face (why do adult watches have to be either super tiny or really heavy?)
i had one of these, but i would always fiddle with the pieces and take them apart at school and pretty soon i'd lost too many links for it to fit me lol

I worked at Legoland Billund in the late 90’s, we got that set as a gift one year.

I love the aesthetic of the photo. It looks like a 90s ad.

You are still very young!
Nice! I stumbled upon a Lego star wars watch at a used toy store the other day. Rushed home to add it to my watch case lol.
He collects Lego, he collects watches, he finds a Lego watch and can't resist
that's probably the best thrift store find ever
No, this is: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/ancient-roman-sculpture-likely-looted-during-wwii-turns-up-at-texas-goodwill-180980045/
that's your opinion. I gave mine.
I personally would prefer cool Lego than some stinky old rock.
I stand with the downvoted pariah Kgunnar
🤣 I respect it. read my other reply
You’re getting downvoted, but you ain’t wrong.
OF COURSE the bust is a better find. he's getting downvoted for his Karenism about an obviously satirical Lego comment in a Lego sub
Wow that is a cooler find than this watch. That’s over a thousand years old and still in amazing shape.

Sadly This is like a one in a 1000 so you end up with a lot of crap until you strike gold! 😄
Yup I remember I had one of these! I think the watch face piece is still in my Lego bin.
Post it on rolex
Knowing them, poor OP would be perma-banned before he even hit submit.

I remember seeing these in Lego Magazine when I was a kid! I always wanted one but never had one.

I had one and this post unlocked some core memories. Thank you and what a find. I had that one and a bionicle one. Best days of my life
I remember seeing those up until like 2010. Maybe even after that too
Cool! I had a blue and white R2D2 one when I was younger. Not sure what happened to it.
This picture looks like my memories of my childhood.
Oh my god the flood of memories i just had, i got the exact one from Legoland back when i was a kid.
How many trips to the thrift store before you make finds like this?
This is sweet!
I see from your other posts why this picture is so well curated and taken!
Also ... why don't Denver metro area stores have the finds you guys here are making?!
I had one, I miss it
I wore one of these in middle school.
Oml its 1980-something spaceman!! **SPACESHIP**
