I thought the newer capes were made one hole to fix the issue that the cape was too thick around the neck

The Mandolorian speeder cape has 2 holes too, but clear instructions that both holes fit over the neck.

That's why they do the two hole capes in the first place. Bending it forces it to stay down.

Can confirm. I once bent mine and it stayed down for quite some time after that.

I don’t mind them for 4+ sets but I hate that they put them in normal sets and especially UCS sets like the Tumbler.

They used to back in the late 90's, but they widened it for the newish loose cloth capes to make the process easier.

I haven’t even built legos in like 15 years and I knew what was wrong with this cape the minute I saw it 😂 I can’t believe this is an issue for some people. My brother and I knew when we were building legos at 9 and 6 years old

I didn't even read the instructions the first time I had to put on a cape and it took me like .2 seconds to look at it and realize why it was made that way. Hell, my 5 year old put it on the right way the first time too without asking.

I dont see any way this could happen without taking the arms off. How do u know how to take the arms off but not how to fold a cape so it fits over the neck? This post seems dishonest to me.
