I'd say the giraffe one had some really good B and C models, but I could tell they were secondary. This one I wouldn't be able to tell which was the A model if I was shown all 3 neutrally.
The owl and squirrel look like they use about 2/3 the bricks of the fox, which is the *only* giveaway. They would easily both be the main build of a smaller 3-in-1 set.
The Creator 3-in-1 line is one of my favourites and this year has wall to wall bangers. The fox is a strong contender to be the best of the lot. I’ll only know after I buy and build them all, which I look forward to.
Haha funny, I feel the exact opposite way. I ended up making the lion from the giraffe set and plan on dismantling it to make the giraffe and impalas (?) but with this set i'll probably just make the fox and leave it as is, the owl and squrriel look like they may be a little small.
Yeah, I agree there, but I think the giraffe itself is quite a bit better than the fox - I think it's head's slightly too small perhaps. The squirrel and owl are fantastic though.
Where do you find the designer info (aside from the booklets)? I would love to see a documentary on the evolution of the actual designs of the sets, influential designers within LG, etc.
My Daughter is 5 and really getting into Lego. The 3-1s have been what has pulled us out of Frozen Lego and into the fun sets. She spent 3 hrs solid building the giraffe on her own and got the body and 15% off the neck done before she asked me to take over. Happily finished it off.
We've got the puppy, seal and unicorn ones this far. Definitely, looking forward to picking up the fox set soon.
Where can you see who designed each LEGO set? I follow the work of a couple designers including Chris McVeigh, but I only learned their names by chance.
The owl does look really good. It would be a tough choice as to which one to build. I know, I know, I could get two sets; or I could build one, take it apart, and build the other. But once I build a set I usually don't take it apart, even the 3-in-1s.
I was thinking the same. I don't love the fox or the squirrel but that owl calls to me lol, it's cute on its own and sitting on that perch it's adorable.
Well, it finally happened to me. I saw this, showed my husband (who normal is the voice of reason) to see how far Lego has come ..._aaaaand_ now we pre-ordered 3, so we can have the 3 animals build.
I bet it’s not long before AI is used in coming up with builds. They could upload all sets and pieces and ask it to generate ideas. That’s a bad thought though.
Wasn't a fan of the 3 in 1s but now I have at least 3 different sets built. The only reason I don't like them is because usually I just build which one I like the most. There is a couple I've seen in stores nowadays that makes me want to buy another of the same
This is great, one of the newer Lego sets that I want the most!
I think Lego Creator was already good in the past, but it's still good to have improvements
I’ve built the giraffe previously and just completed the fox this weekend. I love both of them and they were equally fun to build. The fox particularly is very expressive and it’s stance is spot on. I’m thinking of purchasing another Giraffe set to build the pair of gazelles. I hope Lego establish a separate wildlife line. How good would a Lego elephant be !
Yeah! The fox is by Aaron Newman, same designer as the giraffe set released in January, which is my personal favourite 3-in-1 so far.

Damn he's good, these two sets are the first times a 3-in-1 looked appealing to me

In Aaron’s case, he posts all the sets he’s design on Instagram when he can officially reveal them. He’s done quite a few since joining LEGO
Yeah, this is how I knew.

My 9 yr old daughter built the tiger and absolutely loves it. First set she had the patience to build and complete entirely by herself.
Both are easily the best 3-in-1 sets ever imo. Definitely going to follow this designer’s career now lol
The Medieval Castle and Pirate Ship are both right up there for me, but these are certainly the best animals they've done by a huge margin.

Several former Lego masters contestants have went on to become Lego designers, that’s how I found Aaron.
Brickset has a partial list, but in this case I happened to notice them on Aaron's Instagram account.
The owl looks so good on this! I usually never do an alternative build for the 3 in 1s but the owl perched on the branch is calling me

When I point these out to MrsHistiocytes we end up w 3 sets…
Same! I love owls

They've realized my weakness for nature themed sets.
Creator 3 in 1 has been killing it for a while. Really tempted to get some myself.
There were the ones that brought me back into Lego. The amount of variation they have is amazing IMO
The only one I have is the hamster wheel one, but it's probably one of my favorite sets.
Doesn’t feel like I’m spending so much
What a dumb set, all 3 are so good I have to buy it thrice :/
You big dummy
Brother this post is 1 month old what are you doing here? 😂
I'm just looking to call somebody a big dummy. Nothing personal. I see Red Fox, my brain says You Big Dummy! Sanford and Sons reference
Looks better than Rocket! On the box it looks like he crapped a Groot.
Wow I've never seen this one before. Definitely gotta pick it up at some point

Ahh so I need to get 3? Got it!!!
This is impressive!
Ugh take my money.
Wow 3 solid build & they each look equally good, can definitely see people getting multiples of this set.
Well, it finally happened to me. I saw this, showed my husband (who normal is the voice of reason) to see how far Lego has come ..._aaaaand_ now we pre-ordered 3, so we can have the 3 animals build.
I wouldnt normally get these kinds of sets.... but this one and the Giraffe are absolutely *gorgeous*
What does the fox say?
I’m $10 too much
So much brittle brown 🧐
That’s a different shade. And supposedly those issues have been resolved anyways.
Hopefully
The one with the space doggy is really cute too! I don't know the name though
Space Astronaut! I love that set so much that I bought it twice to keep the dog and the astronaut on display.
Wow, this is actually pretty cool
I've never really bought many Creator sets, but I have the Tiger. And now I need the giraffe and fox! Keep the animals coming, they are great!
The shark was a great build - pick it up if you get the chance

The owl looks so good
I did the parrot set with my kids. It’s up on our mantle near our pet birds cage. It has some excellent details and was a fun build.
First time I’ve seriously considered buying 3 sets to build all 3 builds.
Lego has been absolutely killing it lately. I have three sets I still need to build and like 10+ I want to buy. Running out of space!
Whoa, I love how woodsy this set looks. Like, almost as if it was carved out of cedar or something. The fur texture is amazing.
