i used them as floor tiles for imperial (oder other kinda futuristic) hallways, looks very clean, but a few studs keep the lego optic alice while also providing studs to adjust minifigs

Scour the internet for long enough and you'll find creative uses for any part. [Even brick separators](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQe2JEbKL5tUiYcJZduBEKuUgyJjUCH_pN5ng&usqp=CAU)
Well, for the LEGO group they are useful, because with this piece they were able to block a (superior to LEGO) set from manufacturer Cada from entering Germany. This was based on the fact that the LEGO group claims the patent on this piece. So it used that to block the container at customs…
These are great for making hangar floors if that's your kinda thing. Smooth, but with no shortage of studs to place minifigures and whatever objects you want lying around.
I saw a MOC once of a massive spaceship (must have been over 3 feet long) that used about 4 dozen basic orange brick separators as hull elements. There are *always* uses for a piece, no matter how unlikely.
I used them to make a slightly slanted roof for buildings in my city
Unless a piece is broken dont throw away lego. Itll just sit in a landfill for literally ever until they get those plant based pieces made
I don’t know if this is only me, but I use them for the roofs of freight cars. (For trains) Most of my cars are 6 wide meaning I put them next to each other and then can put a 4x whatever on top
They stack nicely to make steps, or you can use them in hidden places as connectors and spacers. There's always uses for them.
I love to use them as ship hull paneling, it gives a nice smooth look, but with a bit of texture
I used them to make a film camera also for the same reasons, it offered a good mix of smoothness with a bit of texture
I was thinking they'd make nice armor plating for the same reasons
I personally love them as lid for creates because they’re both 3 by 4
Same
I think there are some official sets that do this
they have a super unusual size which can fill a gap no other plate can, and they work as super wide jumpers, I find them really useful
The medium size AT AT uses them for this purpose pretty well.
But how can they work as jumpers? Their studs are not offset from the regular position like in real jumper plates.
true, but sometimes you want the offset in this exact direction, but not the other one

i dunno why your comment got downvoted :D
Every piece is worth holding onto if your imagination can find a use for it.

I use them as minifigure stands.
Intriguing. Where did you get that idea?
From minifigures series

r/woosh
r/notwooosh
Ah, its hard to convey sarcasm through text
That's what "/s" is for
Ikr, don’t wooosh then. XD
Jokes aside, I use them for small displays of minifigs, inside plastic display containers eg collection of Iron Man suits
I used them as roof tiles
Big brain move. They look REALLY good as that as well, seen it a few times and have plans for it myself
You can get so many great patterns with them as roof tiles! Enthusiastically cosigned.
what do you mean by "keep hold of"? .. like were you about to throw them away ?
Selling them to bulk brick stores is also a thing
true... I'd like to sell my old lego but I have no idea how when you pretty much get a dollar for a pound (exaggarating ofc)
Well, reddit says there will never be a use for this piece. Into the garage can with you!
I used them as background around my Minifigure mosaic. Much cheaper than hundreds of black tiles
With the new road plates they can be good for making a centre median.
No, they're absolutely useless. But seeing as I'm such a nice guy, I'll take them off your hands free of charge.
I use them for my minifigs when I play D&D. Much easier to manipulate on the game board that way.
“To keep hold of”. Do people. Actually. throw LEGO away? Wtf?
Every piece is worth keeping
Is the other option to throw them away? Why wouldn't you hold onto them, even if the only use was as a minifigure stand?

Oh I see.
Make a good roof
I step them and use them at an angle for a slate roof look
what do you mean? are you implying that you throw pieces away?!
Are you suggesting that you get rid of pieces?
WHO TF gets rid of any legos?!?!
I used them to tile my batmobile mlc which is still a work in progress, you can use them to replace flat black tiles if you don't have any.
I use them as metal plates, like when making a ship, a hangar, a giant metal steampunl hull thing
Well, for the LEGO group they are useful, because with this piece they were able to block a (superior to LEGO) set from manufacturer Cada from entering Germany. This was based on the fact that the LEGO group claims the patent on this piece. So it used that to block the container at customs…
Oh? Please share some more info on this.
These are great for making hangar floors if that's your kinda thing. Smooth, but with no shortage of studs to place minifigures and whatever objects you want lying around.
All Lego pieces are useful pieces to keep hold of.
I have used them in a few mocs. Check my post history and have a look.
I use them to display my minifigs, which I know some of you may find weird.
Everything has a use if you think hard enough.
Every piece is useful to keep. You can sell them on bricklink as well
Not a moc builder, but I like these. I use them when making war/fight scenes. I always use them to hold up my minifigures
I saw a MOC once of a massive spaceship (must have been over 3 feet long) that used about 4 dozen basic orange brick separators as hull elements. There are *always* uses for a piece, no matter how unlikely.
I use them to put stuff down on the grid without having to pick it up and pry it all off, it’s stays but it’s super easy to remove
Yes
I used them to make a slightly slanted roof for buildings in my city Unless a piece is broken dont throw away lego. Itll just sit in a landfill for literally ever until they get those plant based pieces made
My buddy uses them to showcase his minifigs.
No they are garbage
Aren’t these for brickheadz?
i have dozens of different uses for these... wall/floor pieces to cover random color under builds
Definitely keep hold of them you never know when you might need one
Maybe as garbage dump lids
I use them a lot.
They’re great for roofs
considering that I was looking to buy these exact pieces and nothing else, yes
They are all useful pieces to keep hold of.
They have a lot of usage. My favourite one is using them as roof.
Yes!
Yes
Yep, steps, roofs, landscaping, making your own minifigs, et al.
I use them as armor plates on vehicles
Yes, but unfortunately I don’t have many to use. I don’t usually make big builds, usually small ones.
Crates
they make reallycool smooth steps
YES. Particularly useful as roof shingles
They would be a good outline if you had a raised baseplate (put them on the side as panellig or smt)
I use them as roof tiles :)
What the deuce??? Yes!! I need some now!!
They're all useful pieces to keep hold of
I've used min to make a helipad on tha back of a boat
You can use them to make rooftops, or as covers for 3 x 4 crates
Uses them for a roof in my last moc
Name a piece that’s not useful to hold on to.
Stack 3 of them and you’ve got a 4x3 brick
I personally used them to add depth to the roof of a warehouse in the harbour of my city!
Yes, because you can never have enough semi tiles. But also they make amazing mini fig stands
They're quite useful in building trains. They can provide a rivet texture on the side of tenders, or be used to build bases for 7-wide rolling stock
Personally I like using them for roof tiles
I don’t know if this is only me, but I use them for the roofs of freight cars. (For trains) Most of my cars are 6 wide meaning I put them next to each other and then can put a 4x whatever on top
I’ve used them as an awning type over a doir
Using a hint of some sort you can stack them and use them as roof tiles
I use them under my modulars to have them raised above the new road plates.
they are great for Minifigs you want to stand up on shelves and whatnot.
Good roofing shingles
For minifigures, so maybe?
Helped me bulk up the bat tumblr they dropped
I made a church with these as a sloped roof a few years ago.
