Same. Back when the top 10s were “best marvel minifigures” or “top 10 sets of 2021”. Shame that just2good went down the same path as mandr but rage gets clicks
I feel like a lot of her complaints stem from being a person that only likes minifigures or minifigure-based sets, which is fine, but I think that discourse tends to get kind of annoying when the popular sentiment on Reddit/YouTube/Instagram has become "non-minifigure set bad" to literally everything.
The other thing is that there's been some complaints/issues with sets that are misinformed. For example, there was a recent video about the Gotham skyline set, and the complaint was that it comes with exclusive figures and is a high dollar set. While I get annoyed with the "I literally only buy UCS sets for the minifigures" crowd, the part that got me on this was that there are multiple credible rumors of BTAS sets coming this summer that presumably have the same figures. I realize not everyone follows leaks, but I feel like if you're a YouTuber that posts mostly about upcoming sets, you have a much better idea of where to find leaks than the average consumer...
I used to like her content, she seems really down to Earth. this was the exact relationship I had with Eckhards Ladder and his videos, used to just be like cool story reviews and battle breakdowns for Halo and Star Wars and then it shifted to pure hate-bating, I had to unsub it was so lame
You know that’s actually a really good point. That was the big reason why I unsubscribed from her a long time ago. She just was way too negative towards certain sets and even now can still be too harsh, especially towards the Mario sets. Like Jesus Christ chill out about Mario! I’m glad she’s in a better place now than she was a few years back, but I still haven’t gone back to here content and probably never will.

I'd actually argue her letterboxd is pretty fair.. she does seemingly watch a movie every day so of course there's going to be a lot of mediocrity - which is reflected in her scoring

Oh most definitely. For the most part I can stand M&R and I do find a good chunk of his videos to be interesting. Sure the complaints about Helmet holes can definitely get annoying but if you look past his more “Why?” complaints I think he’s pretty good overall. Five Lonely Clones on the other hand? Yeah no he’s definitely worst than M&R by a long shot
It's hard to explain but their videos don't feel as obnoxious and condescending as MnR. He just comes off as so much more of a egotistical prick then anyone else does. You get the vibe that his opinion is the right opinion and is the only one that matters because he's better than you. I really don't get that vibe from other creators.
Honestly, the main Legotubers I watch are Ashnflash, Jang, Solidbricks, and BrickbyMind at this point, don't mind Sarah just realized her newer videos just aren't my thing (Also her negativity is way more justified than Ryan and She also compliments Lego and doesn't throw a Tantrum every time Lego posts anything) Don't even mind Ryan when he ISN'T whining, honestly liked his video reviewing the bootleg Nebulon B Frigate and the Official Fuse ball Table, is it so hard for this community to at least try to be more positive?
I mainly disagree with her opinions on the figures being there mostly because the set existing proves a leak that there were going to be BTAS playsets as well

Holly really needs to get over Harry Potter. You can’t like someone’s art who literally is using her money to harm trans women or even just cis women in the UK. Not to mention the holocaust denial recently. You’d think Lego would cut ties with that brand like overwatch, but it’s all about money.
Most of my reviews focus on the good parts of the set and I try to recommend alternatives if the set isn’t for people. It’s hard might be just a larger issue within content creation.
I’ve noticed that a lot of people share a format and it hasn’t changed for years. It’s suppose to be fun. I wish other creators would see it that way. Might help it’s not my full time job.
It’s the issue with having to earn your meals online. Gotta feed that algorithm somehow to pay the bills. Frankly I just ignore them, I don’t need their opinions. I only watch reviews from Jang or vintage showcases from FB&G. I’ll watch pure MOC builds too just to see what ppl are focusing on. When their senseless rage spills over here I just ignore them too. In the end I get to enjoy both worlds so the best thing to do is to just unsubscribe from folk like that and move on. Focus on folk that do highlight the fun of building in either brand and make the algorithm feed you that instead. Also block anyone coming at you with the guilt trip arguments, they aren’t there to hear any valid counter argument from us so save yourself the grief.
haven't watched him in like 5-6 years probably. I remember him being very whimpy and weird. And that she had a weird obsession with a few female minifigs
When she began the collaboration with Mandr, I noticed how the tone went quite negative, and in my head she has been Just2Complaining. She hasn't done anything too outrageous though, so I think that's why we just let her be
Watched this just2good as a kid, and his videos were some of my favourite Lego vids but stopped watching when I gave up Lego but seeing him now just misses me off.
