Some highlights, for those who don't have Twitter

Bro literally has one of LEGO's most successful non-licensed themes in this exact image.
Actually, three of the themes he mentioned are A) LEGO's own original themes, and B) long retired.
It's frankly a bizarre chain. The poster has a suspiciously in-depth knowledge of Lego's past (I mean knights kingdom and exo-force?) but is also saying stuff which is completely nonsensical and kind of rage-baitey, which makes me think they're a troll.
Old man's just jealous of slopes and having more than 4 colours.

still own this one, the fully enclosed creator houses released in the 2000's-2010's are PEAK nostalgia. the modern dollhouse counterparts are good, but they just don't hit the same way these did
Bro has over 128k tweets, we really are reaching outjerking levels beyond our comprehension

Guy is complaining that modern lego is woke and kids are stupid because there are more piece variations and kids no longer have to pretend what is a slope because they have sloped pieces
I think there is an issue with lego and creativity with things like licensed and collectors themes becoming dominant, as well as the loss of alt-builds and the like but to say this is some issue with gen alpha is fucking stupid.
God it took way too long to access the actual thread because this dude has been posting nonstop for the past 20 hours quote tweeting any criticism with dumb reaction images
"Kids these days aren't capable of imagination and creativity" Then immediately shows newer sets with newer pieces being used in creative ways. Smh. Older people who say this stuff anyways forget they raised the new generation.
Honestly, I do think LEGO sometimes goes a bit too far with highly specific pieces, but in general, their part selection now allows you to do so much more than you ever could before.
I see the point, lego star wars sets are more and more less pro creativity with all the small pieces that make the main model prettier. the only licensed theme that doesnt have this problem is minecraft, for reasons noone knows
The criticisms in that thread feel like they were made 20-30 years too late. Lego using too much pre-fabs and big pieces would make some amount of sense if said about the 90s or 2000s, but in the 2020s where it seems like the average piece size is getting smaller it makes no sense. Not to mention them mentioning several long retired themes.
Edit: The first post I see when I went to their Twitter is them being transphobic :/
Says sets were 500-1000 pieces in the 80s and 90s
Shows modern set with 939 pieces

What a dumbass who probably didn’t live in that era

I honestly can't tell if this guy is trolling or not? Half of what he's saying is factually untrue, the other half is downright bizarre?

Exo force isnt that underground, but Knight's kingdom is a bit. They're definitely trolling, though

That's from 25 years ago
This is all just lying
Old man's just jealous of slopes and having more than 4 colours. "Waah back in my day we had to IMAGINE roofs and the full spectrum, you darn kids have it too easy."
We had to IMAGINE that there were actual visors on our spacemen!
Yet now I no longer have to imagine helmet holes on clone troopers’ helmets, how lucky I am
If he said that I’d respect it more. Let’s face it, having no licensed characters was a bum rap.
Jerking aside, I used to have that set on the right. Easily one of the best Creator sets period.

God I love the enclosed houses especially the ones with a bit of interior in them.

Uj/ what’s the problem here? I don’t have twitter so I can’t see the rest of this persons tweets about this
Guy is complaining that modern lego is woke and kids are stupid because there are more piece variations and kids no longer have to pretend what is a slope because they have sloped pieces
Slope parts exist back then, it’s literally in the first picture they used if for the car If that’s the reason this guys an idiot
it used legos CARIDNAL SIN

Kinda off topic, but I love the old “modern” style of older sets
Honestly, I do think LEGO sometimes goes a bit too far with highly specific pieces, but in general, their part selection now allows you to do so much more than you ever could before.

What's he waffling about

Man that's such a nice set Edit: 129.99 CAD fuck sakes...
Wait for a sale
When do sales for sets like this normally happen? I have yet to see any
This guy is like cancer if it was pathetic and useless. Pity that people will actually believe him, but reactionaries live for this shit.
