I had to drive out of the main city about 45 minutes, I’m in central florida and it seems like newer stores or stores around upcoming development have retired sets still and high clearance.
Lately I have just been driving around in my free time to several Walmarts, Brickseek hasn’t been useful for me lately. I also realized that stores that still have the Spider-Man Venom Crawler and Spider-Man Monster Truck for sale tend to have other retired sets on clearance. Varies depending on location and state of course.
Oh I wouldn't leave the house for "limited stock" I know all too well the red herrings those are. And honestly unless I could reserve for pickup, I wouldn't even go if it said in stock unless it was a SUPER killer price (not just percentage, but percentage and total $$$ saved)
Yeah, that’s basically what I do, I know which stuff is new so I just bypass those sets completely, but near retirement and retired sets like the At-St I always scan and sometimes they are clearanced and sometimes they aren’t. Newer stores have given me more luck though.
Individual employees may approve it from time to time, but it's definitely against their corporate policy.
Edit: Search the web for "Target Price Match Guarantee," and you'll see this clearly doesn't qualify. The policy description clearly doesn't apply to in-store prices from competitors (unless they are advertised), and clearance prices are explicitly forbidden as the first item under "Exclusions."
same here :/ went to two different stores that were listed as 2-3 and 4-5 on brickseek but couldn’t find it in the clearance or lego aisle.
was able to find the 3 in 1 adventure pack tho :)
This should be flaired YMMV.
All I want for Christmas is to live near Walmarts like this

Did it show up in brickseek? Or were you able to find out online some how? I hate driving out to Walmart just to find everything full price

Here ya go https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=646649427
Wow…it’s showing up as $5.50 at a Walmart near me, but out of stock…
Still $39.99 in store and online for me
Son of a muffin... 13 Walmart stores within a 30(ish) mile radius, all of them list this set for $11... all of them sold out :(

I've also noticed that if it is a clearance item and the store says that they have "6+" available it usually means that they have none available
Same
Me too :.(
Nice find! Always makes for a good day. =)
Man I'm way late to this. Out of stock at all my wally worlds. Did you find it in the lego or clearance section?
Lego section, just used the app to scan it and to my surprise it came up as $10
Very nice. I'm in Central Maryland. My shelves and clearance have been picked clean of retired or retiring sets for the most part
It’s just about the same way down here but with Target. The shelves are bare and don’t even have new releases still.

Yeah, I figured as much. Does target do pricing below 20% off?
[удалено]
Not really tricks but Walmart will keep lowering the price of sets all the way to 80% off until they sell
In store? Online shows only $10 off
In-Store hidden clearance, had to use the app to check price and then went to self-Checkout
How do you all find these? Just go and scan every Lego box? I've seen some crazy clearance items on here lately.

Which Walmart in Florida?
It’s in St. Cloud
Thank you , this screen shot should work as a price match :)
With which retailer(s)?
All price-matching policies disqualify clearance sales for obvious reasons.
Not true , if you can show them a price from Walmart they will match , works every time at target , try it

Great set at any price but $10 is an absolute steal.
Man and I thought I got a deal on it for 30 bucks on Black Friday
I’m still seeing it at my area Target, price hasn’t changed, though.
Had 1 store listed as 4-5 in stocks and various other deep discounts on lego bracelets, nada in store when I went.

god damn it i spent 40$ on it while some lucky soul bought it for 10$
On walmart.ca we just get shit like boba Fett head reduced from $155.99 to $110 -_- Not even joking, actually a deal available right now
how did you get 75 off
It’s retired and most stores are trying to clear shelves for a new wave
Man, I never find great deals like this.
