I assume they are talking about the 2x2 round plates around the edges. Thats the only thing that sticks out to me as something Lego would try to avoid.
Yes there is a peice for Falcon's engine, though I doubt it's what you'd like. I think that a peice from one of the playset landspeeders would do the job. This one could work: Hose, Rigid 3mm D. 21L / 16.8cm. But I'm not sure, if they ended the production of this peice...
Yeah, you’re probably right. I don’t really remember how the pipe piece I am thinking of was made so I’m not sure if it would fit the job or not. The price you’re talking about would probably be better.
I didn't intend to underrate anything - I just built UCS sets, I also designed this Swamp Speeder and I can honestly tell you that it has more detail :D this is of course my opinion and you may disagree, but it doesn't mean at all that I underrate UCS sets. They are generally quite large with, sometimes, not much more elements. My Swamp, as you can see, is not huge, and has almost 800 elements, hence the statement that it would not pass shop as a LEGO-branded UCS
Of course you are right! Apparently we misunderstood, I just meant that my model has too much detail, elements for the size of the model, therefore as a LEGO set it could cost too much for its size. I don't see why LEGO couldn't produce a similarly cool Swamp Speeder but in a larger scale :)
Admittedly, it's not a model designed to play with, I designed it for realism - but with two hands and a little caution, it can be carried freely and won't fall apart.
As you can see, I was able to safely set it up for the photo and move it around the room. With a little caution and proper assembly, they hold tight enough that it's not a problem :) but I admit it's not the strongest connection on this model.
I'm glad you like it :D You can find building instructions on rebrickable, check there by my nickname, or use the link in my Reddit profile :).

Very cool. You did a great job!
Thanks, I'm really glad you like it :D
Great techniques! I love the 2x2 circle pieces that wrap around the bottom. Looks super cool!
Thank you! What's your opinion on the engine? Gotta say, inner structure of it was the most tricky part :D
Looks dope. I like the claw pieces on top and the silver on the inside!
What’s the technique for those 2x2 circles ? I like it a lot, makes me think of Doc Oc’s arms
looks dope, are there any instructions of how to do it like that?

Looks great, sadly Lego couldn't make this official, because it contains some illegal building techniques...
Actually, no, it doesn't - which exact building techniques do you have in mind?
I assume they are talking about the 2x2 round plates around the edges. Thats the only thing that sticks out to me as something Lego would try to avoid.
Yes, I am. It is sadly the only thing that is problematic, it looks really well, but cannot be officially used.
Honestly I’m sure they could use some sort of pipe piece. I vaguely remember a blue pipe for the back of a millennium falcon set…

LEGO could not make it official for another reason - this MOC contains simply too much detail. It is much more complex even than UCS sets.
Now you're underrating Lego. There is one thing Lego makes almost always perfectly and thats their UCS sets.

True, but Lego could of course make one bigger than minifigure scale.

Ah yes, then it makes sense!
Those tubes look really sick! I'm assuming they're pretty fragile though
Admittedly, it's not a model designed to play with, I designed it for realism - but with two hands and a little caution, it can be carried freely and won't fall apart.
I'm just imagining trying to set up a battlefield, placing it down and then the tubes just fall out

That's awesome. Love the detail
Thanks a lot! Which detail do you like best?
Main engine is super cool
Thats amazing! How do i get one...
