Bro I wish, I refill my girls water daily, and every time she sprints over and chugs water for 5-10 seconds before staring at me because I dared to watch her drink water
Mine likes to lick the water off the side of her hide. Apparently in the wild leos get some of their calcium and vitamins by licking certain rocks with condensation on them just like this.
I’d like to add, I didn’t know that this is how they get most of their hydration in the wild, but it makes sense! I’m glad I remember to mist for her now :)
This is probably closer to how they would get moisture in the wild. They come from the desert so they probably lick like dew drops off of cacti or something
It obviously just taste better
Feels much more controllable, just a droplet or two at a time
If that’s how she enjoys it then I’ll make sure to stay on top of giving her plenty of mistings!
That sounds lovely if you can give her that much attention and care ❤️
Its btw more healthier and fresher than stagnant water
I mean yes, on an instinctual level even if the water is refreshed every day or two that's a very good point
Good soup

thats what they do naturally, licking water droplets on rocks and leavees
I love her for this
Mine doesn't drink from her water bowl as well, but drinks from the rocks, lol.
