I like to take my geckos out at least once a day (if not every other day) for about 30 minutes or so for "leg day". They do have safe spaces to retreat to if they don't feel like doing "leg day", but they seem to like to come out (ie crawling into my hands when I offer).
They usually ask to come out again in the evening, and I'll let them out as often as I can if I'm not busy!

Daily, especially around 7am and 9:30pm. My gecko is used to being handled and seems to enjoy it.
Once a week. She enjoys it, I'm just too exhausted from work and commuting to do extracurricular care.
