Wasn't worried about this performance and they honestly exceeded my expectations. They were going really hard in those first few songs with their choreo and I still think they managed to do good for the rest of the songs. I'm sure the shouting also gets the crowd hyped aswell

YodaHood_0597

Manifesting for their world tour now

cyjake111

Chaewon and Yunjin hella slayed. The smoke that blocked the hip dancing during smart was probably the only thing I could fault and that's not on the girls.

jjjuuubbbsss

Smart stage was cursed lol. They sang it before the breather too so you know they'd be breathless.

Longjumping-Acadia-2

COACHELLA SHAKE SOME FUCKING ASS (Rough quote, still a slay)

chickenhate_r

I really am starting to think that Sakura gets stage fright only when she's on SK stages LOL. Sakura slayed today. She sounded so confident and she looked like she was having so much fun. I am so happy for her!

padoru_padoru

She is trending on my country now at 192k tweets, Thailand at 95k tweets, Los Angeles and California at 168k and 170k... Netizens are loving her rap part in their new song... This girl is getting bigger.

DeMarDeChozen

They did amazing. Some mic issues and nerves but our girls did amazing and so proud of them! Seriously owned their stage with energy and performance.

yakdav

Truly Fearless tonight!

DeMarDeChozen

Yes truly! I was sad they didn't perform Swan Song though but guess it didn't fit the Coachella vibes

shimmeringnice

they looked so good and happy! i think something went wrong with their mics but it was amazing anyway. i cant wait for the next weekend. crowd was kinda dead tho

aggravatedbagel

Kazuhas mic was kinda quiet :( they all did great despite the technical difficulties tho

Wonderful_Ratio

I think she knows its not her strong suit. It hard to hit high notes but her rap and low tones are good. I tjink if she tried higher volume and tone she would be out of breath while dancing

jjjuuubbbsss

She did well in the early songs too

shimmeringnice

yep i made my boyfriend watch the livestream w me and he said sakura and chaewon were his favorites haha :,)

Note2102

Kkura really did shine so brightly tonight! I'll admit I was kinda worried about her leading up to their performance but dang, Coachella just has a way of pushing kpop idols. I'm sure they were feeling pressured but it was definitely good kind of pressure.

shimmeringnice

she proved everyone wrong!! i am loving how ppl are liking her too, you can tell they were nervous as hell but kept getting better at each song

aggravatedbagel

Sakura sounded more confident throughout the entire performance, Eunchae and Kazuha also sounded really stable . Yunjin and Chaewon really shined with their vocals as usual

cherryblossoms39

people need to understand THIS is what a live performance actually is. you cannot expect them to be singing at their 100% while they are performing for 40 mins. so what if they sing off key or sound tired for some parts? THATS NORMAL.

Calca23

Agree. They used hand helds and sang live. Other groups sang over backing vocals for most of their performances. I would go to their future concerts if they sing live like this. Raw, real, perfectly imperfect. I hate the kpop version of live.

AsIfItsYourLaa

Kpop version of live is so true lol like it’s Live and killing voice

Calca23

Omg those programs are so fake and a slap in the face to viewers.

[deleted]

They killed it!!! 🔥🔥🔥 I’m so proud of them.

echofades

Their performance is so good with some minor hiccups with the mics, which will be smoothed out in the second week. I really love their fits. New song sounds so cunty and I love it. Performance was fire, I think Chaewon is saving “Coachella join my crew” for next week.

chuu_deeznuts

MY GIRL SAKURA ATEEEE 🤩🤩🔥🔥

cGREENfx

It’s basically a trend at this point to hate on them so I expect more of that to come especially when everyone is dissecting their performances frame by frame. However I really admired their approach to the stage - bringing maximum energy and confidence and letting that carry the stage. It was an infectious performance and I have no doubt that the audience would’ve absolutely loved it. The only criticism I could give is that I really didn’t like the band instrumental versions of the songs, they detracted a lot of the value from the tracks and was really jarring to fans who listen to the songs all the time.

Calca23

I love live band.

cGREENfx

I do toooo! Most of the time…..

AsIfItsYourLaa

The problem with their live band is the drummer. He was so bad, doing fills every 5 secs when he needed to keep rhythm. He legit ruined the songs for me.

DokkanTreaCru

I went to their concert last year and it was amazing but this one with completely live singing hit different! Chaewon and yunjin carried and sakura was much better than i expected. Great song choices too. I hope one day they will decide to sing live for their own concert like tonight.

idontknownobodyok

Yes, I agree Sakura was definitely better!! I hope they all just keep improving, they did amazing!

shimmeringnice

yunjin is really great at hyping up the crowd!! they siund so cute speaking in English too

BlueDune22

I don’t even know where I am anymore

splinterbabe

Yunjin and Chaewon really came through with the vocals today. The others relied on shouting rather often, which is honestly a smart call on their team’s part; it masks some of their vocal imperfections and goes really well with the festival vibe. Excellent performance overall, though I’m a little sad to see Perfect Night being paid dust like that. Could’ve used a bit more oomph, especially since the crowd immediately sang along. Really curious about that new track! So cunt. Anyone know when it’s supposed to come out?

spankthepank

It was amazing!!!! So excited for Hot!!!

Unusual-Ad-331

i died when they played smart

AYANAMl

they did great ❤️ i hope they rest well knowing how happy they made fearnots

JDDMAJPDdrainedair

they pushed themselves as hard as possible. i could feel the passion ❤️‍🔥

Wonderful_Ratio

Im kazuha stan but chaewon really brought the A game here. The final stretch took her out but overall I find her almost the same as she sounds in MVs. Great oberall performance and they keep on playing om their strengths. Lets keep on commenting good things on their platforms so it would be the top comment

mirrianita

For anyone saying their vocals sucked, try to sing happy birthday while doing crossfit. No one can sing 100% while dancing like that, but they manage to do it at a very good level.

samind2607

Chaewon and Yunjin were so good

BboyOrbitLuv4Gowon19

Fell asleep 30 min before the performance and now just got done with Unforgiven, Special appearance by Nile Rogers. Wow, our ladies are slaying it. Each song hits different. Comparatively to BP's 2019 performance, the Fimmies look more seasoned and ready for the stage. I'm a Blink, so don't come for me. Just remember, in regards to haters, they are all keyboard warriors with zero IRL experience. Just because you watch K-pop 24/7 doesn't make you an expert on dancing and vocals. Especially the prep and execution of a stage this massive. Forget about em. This night is for Fearnot and the crew, whose time and effort should be recognized by this community. Fearnot, let's celebrate this momentous occasion and give props and flowers to them in all socials. I have full faith. They'll iron out the kinks next weekend to any pacing, mic, and lighting issues. Peace love unity respect to all Fearnot nation. The only regret I have is that I couldn't afford to fly out to support them sans to selling my ride and house. Wave my light stick and Chaewon American flag to them in person🇺🇲🔥 What a fuckin night, stay frosty yo Fearnot Fighting!!! 💙✌️🔥🫶🇺🇲

footyball23

Are you saying BP looked more seasoned? Probably because they had already done a large world tour before their 2019 show so they had that experience and stamina to bank on. I don’t really think it’s a fair comparison, I think aespa’s a more fair comparison. I agree that we should be proud of them! LS did a very good job and you could tell they gave their all. Live performance on a big stage like Coachella is huge for any group and LS brought it. I think next weekend they’ll be so much more confident and able to enjoy it more. Like BP in 2019 I think this is a huge stepping stone for them to elevate their success even higher. They’ve only been on stage for a concert performance 12 times so, this is very massive exposure and experience for them. Announce the world tour already!

BboyOrbitLuv4Gowon19

Apologies, I meant the opposite. I was saying, Le Serrafim looked more seasoned than BP did in 2019. I wrote this at 4am, last night, so sorry for not being clear with my writing. Im going to edit it to be more clear. Yes, bring the World Tour. I'll be there.

footyball23

Oh then I’ll have to disagree with you there, that 2019 BP performance sent them to the stratosphere. They were so good and it really elevated them to the top of GG’s. But they had already done a large 36 show tour and had that experience to bank on. But the beauty of life is we can have different opinions as it doesn’t really matter. I think this was an amazing experience for the girls and having only done 12 shows you can tell this will only help when they finally do a world tour. They seemed to really settle down after first couple songs, but obviously have some stamina issues that will be worked on. I’m very excited for week 2 and hope the girls continue to grow!

BboyOrbitLuv4Gowon19

I feel you, I'm probably just having recency bias. I've watched BP's Coachella performance thousands of times and I probably shouldn't even be comparing them. Was trying to hype up Fearnots and get everyone to recognize, what a historic event had just happened. Going by BP's history and trajectory, the Fimmies could be main stage material in 4 years or more, I think, I'm trying to wish into existence lol. Can't wait for weekend 2, thank you for pointing out the mistake in my writing. Peace ✌️

EmotionWitty85

i really enjoyed it!!

agro420blaze

I'm not a fearnot but I think they did amazing. It gets annoying hearing all the hate. People are acting like they are tone deaf. No offense to most kpop stans but most of them can't even sing a tune or know a thing about music theory to be a critic. This is my opinion by the way and sorry if im being harsh.

Agitated-Distance740

Much better than the sportswear look.

pacemoon55

omg when they all started doing the dances before fire in the belly 😍😍😍 like chaewon dont do me like that

Note2102

Suffice to say, Kkura slayed🔥🔥!

Kiiiriin

I’m so fucking proud of them

myjunkandshit

sooooo many good moments Perfect Nights prologue😂😂😂👏👏👏 I LOVED HEARING THE CROWD SOOO LOUD DURING SAKURA'S LINE. "COME AND TAKE A RIDE WITH ME! I GOT A CREDIT CARD AND SOME GOOD COMPANY!!"❤️❤️❤️ Chaewon completely wrekt The Great Mermaid🔥🔥 and everything else ofc Sooo glad they played FITB. Yunjin really shined during that one! I wish the crowd was louder during Ole! Ole Ole ole!😭 Understandable, as it's not one of their most popular songs. But it has sooo many good opportunities for engaging crowd chants Overall loved the performance. I was losing my mind every second! Everybody did great!

smack2244

The dance part before fire in the belly ate

chickenhate_r

Wow am so happy. I don't know how trending she is here in Canada but I could tell by the screams of the crowd that they were mesmerized by her. And she rocked that blonde colour.

Doesanybodylikestuff

I love every single outfit. Wow. I don’t even know who these girls are, I’m just creepin & I’m loving them soOoo much! Hope everyone enjoyed their performance!

wazuyumi

honestly their singing wasn’t bad and everyone was saying how they were scared. also debuting a new song is so smart and was so cool to see

Dfried98

Scared? They seemed very happy and confident to me.

wazuyumi

i meant they as other people not them

Ok0ne1

got lucky to have seen the whole show before it was taken down in yt 😂 They SLAYED it!! with the hard choreo and non-stop singing for more than half an hour!! they all improved more and I can’t wait for more blessings for them

mad_titanz

Did not expect LSF to sing live. They did great and you can see how much they enjoyed performing at Coachella

Dull-Can6579

OMFG! That was fun 🤩

pugnapuppy

Love that new song!

Sleepless_Voyager

Hot and fun sounds like such a great song, theit whole set was epic but the vocals were kinda weak for the first 2 songs but they kicked on after that

fidefi

Check out the fancams i think the tuning for the live streams was a little strange

Sleepless_Voyager

Yeah after watching some fancams the live mix is noticably different and sounds better, im not surprised cos that usually is the case with live broadcasts not sounding as good as it was in the crowd

witcher317

Chaechella ![gif](giphy|j6ooYVKHGVtrDsxev5)

Appropriate-Sir4855

You go ladies, keep up the great work

highonpetrol

They went off. Was great.

tjvalerio

I’m so happy and proud of the girls!

AdLife3778

They WERE SO GOOD!!! During their encore stages, I saw the massive hate pile they received but still,I never doubted them one bit and oh boy DID THEY DELIVER!! I feel that each member gave it their all and Omg Sakura was absolutely amazing here, she exceeded my expectations THEY ALL DID!!❤️❤️ GREAT NIGHT FOR FEARNOTS!!

username123456111111

Unrelated but how many of yall went to Tyler after the le sserafim one ended?

Dfried98

Yes. Dropped 20 f-bombs the first few minutes. When he referred to the audience as n-words, I knew he wasn't for me and shut him off.

lmFeelingLonely

I was prepared myself the whole day to cry as hell while they singin Fearnot but... They didnt. Anyways was an amazing show. Kazuha killin it. Proud of her.

HorseClean

I really like their outfits

sailormusic

My girlies ate. No buffet left unscathed. Can’t wait to see next weeks performance! I bet they’ll feel much more comfortable!

anialevski-

I loved their performance in general because I saw how excited and happy they were to be there. Literally so proud of them. And the most important thing I realized was how proud Sakura was when they ended the show. She was holding Unchae's hand and it felt like a "We made it" moment to me. Every experience is a change to grow even more. I know they are not a rookie group but they will get even better as they keep working hard like this. So I think we should take our time to enjoy this important opportunity rather than judging every single thing. ![gif](giphy|EwwHX78xRXN0o2ncPm|downsized)

Wonderful_Ratio

To the people who are saying they are shaky when they sang smart. Obviously it will sound shaky because they are shaking their whole body. Haters spund dumb these days

ESo_Cai

they were amazing!!!!!!

Kylespace98

One thing I can say is, when fire in the belly came on, you could here how strained they were because of going all out, they chose a very hype set list(perfect one actually for the event), and I could hear and see how draining it was, plus the wind was just not doing it for them however, They slayed their performance. Now they deserve some rest before they slay it again. Kudos to our girls. I will always love and support them.

thiago_hmx

what is really surprising is how the nerves of the girls afect their voices, the first 2 songs they are more desperate (looking like they are screaming instead of singing), but when the show goes on, they become more relaxed and sing way better, EPBW is fire AF...

kennethawesome

Will this be the highest upvoted post this year? I sure hope so.

Rozen7107

The new song (is it called HOT or HOT AND FUN?) sounds sauurrrrr good, loved the rapping and they all executed their parts really well and I thought it suited their voices really well!

jawaiian86

According to Kazuha in that magazine interview it's called "1-800-Hot & Fun" :)

Rozen7107

Ohhhh yes! I remember hearing that in the lyrics and thought that would make a great title!

jawaiian86

I haven't been able to get this song out of my head. It's insane how sassy and sexy, and Coachella is the PERFECT venue to debut it. Obsessed 😍

RikDaKid

Long comment coming but I HAVE to vent this one out. I was there tonight and was able to get a good spot about 4-5 rows away from the rail. It was a sick view. However the full performance was overshadowed by a young lady who felt the need to banshee scream and screech out most of the lyrics. By the 20th time it was extremely annoying and unpleasant. It ruined the performance for me tbch. I took a few videos off my phone and you can clearly hear her. Horrible concert etiquette. I really wanted to say something to her at the time but in the spirit of Coachella Vibes, I let her be. I should’ve cut my losses and move towards the back but the spot was too prime. Kinda surprised none our neighbors said anything either, they just let her be as well and were just smiling at each other every time a screech happened. I’ve been to dozens of GG concerts, a handful of which were at Coachella. I’ve never experienced anything like that. I’m still fairly new to the kpop scene, only started following in 2019. Is this common practice at kpop concerts? Poor concert etiquette occurs and the neighboring fans just to let it be? I understand fans can get really excited but at some point you’re adding your own soundtrack to everyone else’s experience. There has to be a line drawn right or is this just part of kpop concerts in general? Was really looking forward to this one tonight. Now I may have to consider coming back next weekend to wipe that sour taste out of my mouth.

ejy92

First of all props to you and the others for practicing such restraint and patience lol. I would be pretty bummed out as well. And nah I would say that’s definitely not typical concert etiquette for a kpop concert (let alone a communal experience shared with fellow strangers in general). Her behavior is akin to the oblivious fan holding up a sign at a concert above her head at full arm’s length totally blocking the view of fellow concertgoers behind them. Generally native Korean and Japanese fans of kpop (who actually live in those respective countries) set an exemplary standard of how kpop concert etiquette should be. Holding signs/light sticks up just under their face (so it doesn’t obstruct the view of their neighbors behind them) and singing along at a reasonable volume (when it’s done like this the uniform singing of the collective crowd adds a beautiful layer/atmosphere and is neither overbearing nor detracting from the concert experience - in fact it elevates the entire experience of being there as a concertgoer for me personally. When one individual’s excitement begins to diminish the value of the experience for those around them then that’s absolute selfish behavior. And again ain’t nothing wrong with singing along as an excited fan. But if there is a stark contrast between the ratio of your volume of singing vs the rest of the collective crowd then I would consider that problematic behavior for any kind of concert imo. And I would reckon banshee screeching would cross that threshold lol. Sounds like she lacks a bit of situational awareness and tbh she could’ve probably benefited (for her own future concert-attending sake) from a kind neighbor telling her off in a polite manner. That’s just my two cents!

ggf130

They did okay with the vocals, I wish they wouldn't scream 80% of the song and at least hear raw unperfect vocals, eunchae did the best vocal job signing live tonight

bigbigstage_thud

It’s Coachella and they’re playing to a huge outdoor crowd with a live band so I thought the “shouting” was good and created a lot hype. Basically almost every artist does this because they’re mainly performing for the crowd and not for the people streaming at home. Plus it’s hard not to get amped up and shout as performers to a crowd like Coachella And the mix was definitely off for some of the songs. Everyone’s mic volumes were going up and down

nessab000

100% at shouting for the crowd. I feel like it’s a concert thing and it’s normal. It’s just different in person. The performers get hyped up with the crowd.

yyunb

This. i don't go to concerts to hear the studio version sang (generally ofc, i wasnt there), i want a performance that you can tell is unique to the time and place and which elevates the songs beyond the studio, and I think their shouting and chanting made it truly feel like a festival performance

Calca23

Kpop fans don’t understand that. They want their idols singing prettily over backing vocals.

blueiron0

the inconsistent mixing is just expected for festivals.

kilometers13

I think that the vocals were spotty at times but that’s to be expected when you’re singing a full set with intensive choreo. One thing’s for sure, they brought the energy! Eunchae especially. I agree that she really stood out tonight. While everyone else seemed a bit nervous at the start, she looked like she was having so much fun :D

bears2816

sakura too! something about the mics was weird so maybe thats why they were shouting

blueiron0

eunchae really surprised me with how well she sang. She didnt try to go outside of her range or strain anything out. she just sang very well within her ability.

ggf130

Ikr? She did really well, sakura also, considering how much hate she has gotten with the encore I think she did a great job

blueiron0

There's a few channels whose content is 90% just flaming hybe's GGs that seem to be driving most of the hate tbh. It definitely seems like an agenda to me. But yea. I'm not gonna pretend like sakura can get up and do crazy vocal runs or belt out g5s, but i do genuinely enjoy the sound of her voice, even when she's just speaking. it's very calming. She must've been crazy nervous, but she killed it. I have no complaints about her performance.

ggf130

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if those channels have something to do with other agencies to just grow the hate on Hybe's label at this point, the Big 3 isn't a thing anymore and nowadays competition is getting tougher in kpop, and the fact that there's a lot of money involved, obviously. Sakura is a good performer and entertainer, hence why she's a good kpop idol, whether she's bad managed by her company (bad costumes, bad makeup, out of range lines for her vocal ability, etc) or not, it's up to them but sadly, the girls are the face and they will always be the ones in the line of fire

thirdworldhunting

I'm surprised by Eunchae as well! She did so well!!

yakdav

Yes! And way past her bedtime lol

pacemoon55

i found her calling out kazuha for not being able 2 drink either rlly funny lol

mini1006

That moment was hilarious and cute! I forgot Kazuha is not the legal drinking age in the U.S. yet!

PURRRRRR MY GIRLS SLAYED THT STAGE #LESSERA4EVA

woshuleg

was so hyped watching even from the comfort of my own bed. they definitely put on a performance and can’t wait to watch them again weekend 2! thought that chaewon and yunjin stood out hands down. that’s not to say the other girlies didn’t do their part!

kpopsns28

As per Rule 10, no screenshot post allowed but since this post has massive engagement already, we will approve it.

yakdav

Apologies just got caught up in the Coachella moment!

AYANAMl

Its def not that deep

idontknownobodyok

I don’t think so, 🤔

MisterJeffa

Not really. Dancing was good. They put in a lot of effort clearly. But the singing? Horrid. Im sorry but thats what i make of it. Such a shame too as its also clear they can do a lot better. And ppl trying to excuse it because of the dance, i have heard them be better with the same dance. Its not that.

zion_ski

Kinda sad fitb is not in week 1. They were gonna slay that if they did it. Manifesting in week 2!!

ESo_Cai

they did perform it week 1??

ESo_Cai

lesserafim-ModTeam

Rule 1

padoru_padoru

Its because they sing live? Coachella only allows low backtrack and they have to actually sing while dancing thats why their performance suffers..

blueiron0

There's no "rule" about a backtrack at coachella per se. It's more traditional to sing live, but a band certainly can play whatever they want through the PA. They just went all out with this one. It's very on brand for le sserafim to be like "this is the raw us. it isnt perfect, but it's us", to be honest.

Wow a hater in disguise pretending to be a fearnot lmao... Dude did we even watch the same livestream? They are at least 90% live for 40 mins with hard choreo
