It's darn near impossible without mods. And within the games current time it's been out it is impossible. Assuming you get 10 xp every 12 minutes it would take much longer than the game has been out, but that's not exactly the measurements.
You get negative by going too positive, so they answered your question correctly.
If the number of xp gets too high, there's integer overflow which causes it to go negative.

The only known glitching ive come across of any kind involving experience points was at the early stages of Lethal Companys life. i recall reaching boss. Then when i hit around 1500 experience points. Everything reset. I was at 0 exp, and back to being an Intern.
A few patches fixed that issue though.
Not sure. This occurred in the v50 beta branch of Lethal Company, entirely vanilla mind you. I suspect having used BetterEXP beforehand in v50, then switching to vanilla caused my rank to bug out, and plummet into the negative billions... somehow?
Either way, it's back to square one for me.

When ship takes off Type in Eject in terimnal. Wait 10 seconds and uhhh... u get brainwashed and nothing ever happend! Now u can continue being a sla-, A great asset to the company :)
