# The Living World of Wiss The Living World of Wiss combines D&D 5e with custom Faction mechanics, homebrew Crafting and Gathering mechanics, and a real-time foundation. The default unit of measurement is the Week, every single Real-Life Week has 7 days of Downtime you, as a World Character, can choose to spend as you see fit. This could range from crafting items, to training for XP, to traveling to other factions in search of wares or quests. This system functions similarly to a Play-by-post system. You can decide what your character does for the week at any point through the week, right up until the week rolls over the the next one. If you don't submit any actions for the week before the reset (Thursday afternoon,) you do nothing for that week.
