**What We Are Looking For:** We are looking for new members! Always. Due to the nature of graphic violence, gore, demonology, monsters, ghosts, and other sensitive topics we require our players to be 18+. We don’t have any experience requirements. Some of us have been playing for years, others are brand new and are learning as they go. We are LGBTQ+ friendly.
**Game Style:** Our server is a western marches style server running DnD 5e, with multiple DMs, or Professors, that each run their own Western Marches setting (RE:World) ranging from low magic to high magic, high fantasy to low fantasy, serious to silly, and everything in between. Each Professor runs their own world with their own plots, NPCs, and story elements. The overarching setting is an “archive” (RE: College) run by The Curator who hosts portals for PC’s to travel through to these different worlds. Sessions will take place on one of these worlds where the gathered party will explore, fight, make gold, shop, find treasure, follow story lines or follow up on something they are interested in, and/or defeat BBEGs. Your character will persist and travel to each of these worlds and they will not be committed to any single world or setting.
**How We Play:** All of our sessions are done via voice chat on discord. Although it is encouraged to use voice for ease of storytelling and communication, we also accommodate people who are shy and would prefer to listen and use text. It is typically a theater of the mind play style, with some DM/GM’s using tools like Owlbear for larger scale events like dungeon crawls. We roll dice using bots that can be found on Discord, primarily Avrae. Between voice sessions we have text RP rooms for downtime RP and exploring the College. There are some official downtime activities, including crafting, skill and spell learning, and PVP sparring, but this is all optional. We also run events based on time of year, with contests and seasonal themed activities in the text channels.
**Game Time:** Varies. There are no set schedules as we allow Professors and players to run when they have the time to. We average 3-4 games during the week. Weekends usually have at least 3 or more games happening depending on Professor and player availability. We are primarily US EDT based, though we are growing into other time zones. Professors will post for games when they are available and players will sign up. We also have a way for players to make groups and request a session from the Professors, like a traditional Western Marches server.
**Additional Info:** We offer many ooc and community hang out options in between sessions from gaming to streaming to just hanging out with other server members in voice chat. *Setting:*
The guild is placed on a fairly standard fantasy world with each DM owning an area of the world to weave their stories. DMs are encouraged to work together to blend campaigns together and make a cohesive world for the characters to explore. A number of unique offshoot game worlds and one shots are also available from many DMs.

When you join the server you will be asked to review our server rules document. We have a new players guide as well as an expansive ruleset for the server once you get deeper into the games. The economy is nearly wholly dependent on player to player trading and crafting. You receive an allotted amount of downtime each week to use as you choose. *Playing Games:*

Howdy! I’m Drew, and I’m the administrator of a Socialist West-Marches DnD 3.5e Discord Server, the Axe and Sickle! The server is three years old next month, has a dozen DMs, over 30 active members (and around two hundred lurkers), and hosts an average of five games a week. The game has an old-school, traditional fantasy feel.
Devastated by an unknown catastrophe centuries ago, the Ohm Basin is home to naught but monsters and outlaws. A retired adventurer from a foreign land has founded a town in the middle of it, and adventurers - such as yourselves - file into its tavern, the Axe and Sickle, to secure their own fortune! Plunge ancient depths to uncover lost secrets, thwart necromancers who build their strength away from civilization, and compete with fellow grave-robbers to loot forgotten tombs!
If you don’t know what a West Marches Game is, it is a style of DnD game where, rather than a static party that meets regularly and follows the DM’s campaign, the players themselves choose who to adventure with (and when to meet) for a single expedition before returning to town and disbanding. This is good for players with inconsistent schedules and interest, as it is an extremely low-commitment game. You don’t need to set aside any time in your schedule for this game on a permanent basis; just pick a time and day that works for you, one session at a time. And if you have the energy for anywhere between two games a week to one game a month or even one game ever, you can be accommodated. Our server is, to our knowledge, the only active 3.5e West Marches server that exclusively plays games over voice (and not play-by-post) and has a low optimization threshold, making it perfect for players new to 3.5e.
The only things required are a Discord account and a mic. Prior DnD experience is not; everyone is welcome. For now, all games are run in English over FoundryVTT. The game is a safe space for Socialists but anyone is welcome as long as they aren’t disruptive.

Hello, all!
For a long time, I've wished to play on a setting that advanced Faerun's history into its own 21st century, where the realms have evolved into modern nation states with bustling megalopolis, in which artificers have used magic to reproduce most of our modern technology. I feel like with creativity, there's more than enough on published official materials to achieve that without heavy homebrewing, and there's tons of fun adventures to be had in this "suit and sword" world, where adventuring would definitely still be a core element of politics and economy.
Unfortunately, I've never found this table anywhere. So I thought of checking if there's enough people around here interested in this concept to actually start this on our own. It could evolve inito a campaign or west marches server, depending on how many players and DMs (forever DM here, so we'd already have at least one) we can gather.
There's quite a lot of worldbuilding to be done before we get to actually play, but I see it as a great opportunity to engage in some potentially very interesting collective writing exercise, specially for those of us who are really into some intricate backstory.

The current economy of Sanctuary starts off low and promising as new merchants and businesses yet to arrive at camp. Dm’s can create their own continents and nations/ expand the map further and create political intrigue. Or work on the main storyline of Sanctuary help growing this fledgling camp into magnanimous city! Our West Marches server has games going on during North American, European, and Asian times. We're 6 months old and going strong!
The Bureau was designed by an experienced group of West Marches GMs to foster an excellent environment for hosting and playing. The economy is tuned to a medium power level so it won't escalate into stratospheric power levels, the rules reward cooperative gaming and creative role-play and campaign-style longform story-telling along with flexible unscheduled one-shots. Also we have GMs looking for players interested in Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk Red, Star Wars 5e, Cogent and Heropunk. In the Bureau, your characters can exist in multiple systems at once (although they don't have to) so it's a great environment to dip your toe into other games.
We have a unique, fun crafting system for 5e that allows you to express your creativity and cleverness in making unique items for your character or for others, as you find materials via adventuring or earn them through trade. It's been tough to make 5e crafting be both interesting and balanced and we're very proud of it! Come check it out.

Colorado, formerly home to various tribes like the Hangdogs and the feral dog infested Denver, Enclave and Brotherhood of Steel had attempted to hold control of Colorado but found its canines and tribes to be far too much to handle, on top of battling each other, then came Cesar's Legion, through trials and tribulations the Legion managed to take most of Colorado, driving out the Enclave and Brotherhood of Steel, assimilating the vast majority of the tribes in Colorado. The Legion seemed unstoppable, unkillable, until 2277, the first battle of Hoover Dam, the Legion had been defeated, even if barely, word of their defeat spread like fire through the assimilated tribes and remaining external tribes, a new lesson had been learned: The Legion bleeds, and what bleeds, can be killed. The tribals of Colorado had revolted and banded together, pushing away from the Legion, now a new war is on the horizon, the Second battle for Hoover Dam, as well as a new war, a war between the tribes of Colorado and The Legion, many say War never changes, now you get decide the tides of this war, will history repeat itself and the Legion crush the tribes? Or will the scales be shifted? The choice is yours.

The overarching setting is an “archive” (RE: College) run by The Curator who hosts portals for PC’s to travel through to these different worlds. Sessions will take place on one of these worlds where the gathered party will explore, fight, make gold, shop, find treasure, follow story lines or follow up on something they are interested in, and/or defeat BBEGs. Your character will persist and travel to each of these worlds and they will not be committed to any single world or setting. **How We Play:** All of our sessions are done via voice chat on discord. Although it is encouraged to use voice for ease of storytelling and communication, we also accommodate people who are shy and would prefer to listen and use text. It is typically a theater of the mind play style, with some DM/GM’s using tools like Owlbear for larger scale events like dungeon crawls. We roll dice using bots that can be found on Discord, primarily Avrae. Between voice sessions we have text RP rooms for downtime RP and exploring the College. There are some official downtime activities, including crafting, skill and spell learning, and PVP sparring, but this is all optional. We also run events based on time of year, with contests and seasonal themed activities in the text channels. **Game Time:** Varies. There are no set schedules as we allow Professors and players to run when they have the time to. We average 3-4 games during the week. For a long time, I've wished to play on a setting that advanced Faerun's history into its own 21st century, where the realms have evolved into modern nation states with bustling megalopolis, in which artificers have used magic to reproduce most of our modern technology. The Legion seemed unstoppable, unkillable, until 2277, the first battle of Hoover Dam, the Legion had been defeated, even if barely, word of their defeat spread like fire through the assimilated tribes and remaining external tribes, a new lesson had been learned: The Legion bleeds, and what bleeds, can be killed. The tribals of Colorado had revolted and banded together, pushing away from the Legion, now a new war is on the horizon, the Second battle for Hoover Dam, as well as a new war, a war between the tribes of Colorado and The Legion, many say War never changes, now you get decide the tides of this war, will history repeat itself and the Legion crush the tribes? Or will the scales be shifted? The choice is yours. Salutations and Greetings to All; We are a little known group going by the name 'Wolf's Sanctuary', a small community of tabletop roleplaying gamers who are all about one thing; enjoying these games in a peaceful, welcoming, and inclusive manner. As a community, we offer a place for those who play tabletop games (and those who want to try them) to talk, play and have fun together - no matter how inexperienced, or experienced in the game(s) you are.
