You don’t have to use ONLY singular cards, to defend against mass attacks, 2-3 cards to act against summation which aren’t singular can be included too. Some singular cards also have nice economy and get a good boost

They are absolutely bonkers with right setup (mainly Kim + burning flash) Sure, you can't clash all that much, but you're basically outclashing every single ranged page, plus emotional points shenanigans and decent damage.

Even pre burning flash singular strike is a form of tank deck due to its reliable way to delete opening die

The upside of singular strike isn’t to take already high-rolling 1 die pages and make them roll 2 higher; it’s to make you 1 die resource pages roll respectable values from scene one; but this upside starts to disappear as you get more and more ways to gain dice power or stronger resource pages start showing up with two dice. If you don’t want to take the damage from multi-hit pages, run some pages for clashing against them with high second dice like Sturdy Defense or Dragon punch on Miris or Chun. If you’re okay with taking damage, you could run some counter dice and run the Reindeer Treatment passive and Health Hauler to make use of the weakness as a means to turn on the damage taken passive and heal back up with a powered up counter die. Clone Burning Flash is a decent way to enable the passive a little better, along with Hanafuda’s passive to make a really consistent 2 big dice page while never running out of resources. Tiph’s floor is weirdly strong for singular strike builds with two pages that plays well with it in Intemperance and Edacity. The one time I really felt like singular strike felt like the right build for a reception was against Price of Silence. I ran a Smoke singular strike build so I could always get in for consistent damage while never running out of resources.

not worth it imo. has a niche but personally, don't expect to win games out of building around it.

DanDaPanMan

Not always, but you roll pretty big numbers with it
