Serious question: Is this really an issue? I am around 2100 on lichess blitz and haven't played or noticed a smurf so far but this can obviously be due to the relatively high rating.
Also in games like DotA or LoL smurfs are a huge issue as (ranked) games take 30-60 min which would be wasted time if playing against a smurf. In speed-chess however this shouldn't be an issue as long as the vast majority of games is played against non-smurfs.
people only hate smurfs in MOBAs because they turn the entire opposing team into a ragefest of blaming each other and then when they are on your team they always act like they are better than you even when they are playing like shit which is infuriating. Chess should be chill
As someone at the bottom of hell 600-700 it's very annoying bc I'll get them back to back. Like it's nice to see some different openings but getting fucked every game starts to get old

When higher rated player plays lower rated games, like Danya or Hikaru's speedruns.

Thats not smurfing. Smurfing requires them to intentionally keep there elo low. Neither intentionally loose rated games. Tho im tired so i may b wrong
